DON'T tell that to your cousin!!!
Anyway, he spent 2 months reading books about cooling systems in French nuclear reactors on submarines and getting paid very well for it. Gotta be worth something somewhere...
Something about the cover letter I don't like. Maybe it seems needed. I can't put my finger on the problem.
I think it is because he's trying to be poetic with it, that's the way it is done in France, but in Canada, you get right to the point, I think.
Anyway, any suggestions are welcome. He has Canada on his mind, doesn't care where (might be so he can get away from my ex-wife, his mother)
OK, got it, I'll give the info to my son, in the meantime you have his info in your mailbox.
He works in a headhunting firm.
Per various confidentiality agreements, I cannot comment on that.
First the RCMP, then CIA, then RUM, I honestly don't know how to carry on a conversation anymore
EDIT: That doesn't mean that I have anything whatsoever to do with those or any other organizations that I may or may not have signed confidentiality agreements with.
EDIT: err, umm, yea, I was just pulling your leg. HA HA, that's it!
ha! that will be fun to track.
Hey Wayne - hiding something from us?

Yep, Tuttle Capital and I didn't even know they had built a Wood's inverse ETF before I read this.
I just might track the ETFs for awhile out of curiosity.
Yes by the SARK people lol.
Yes lol. I watched that live. amazing. It's probably a good sign META will bounce, now that Cramer hates it lol.
This was in his daily email blast this a.m.:
Meta Platforms (META): I made a mistake, and I was wrong. I trusted this management team and that was ill-advised. Gone rogue. I got had. Horrifying free cash flow of less than $1 billion at the Club holding. Last year $9.5 billion. The hubris here is extraordinary. Bought back $6.5 billion of stock, suboptimal. Shares of the Facebook-parent getting crushed, down nearly 23% to around $100 in the premarket. As we wrote Wednesday evening after the mixed quarter and light guidance, it's no wonder the stock is down so much, with CEO Mark Zuckerberg obsessed with spending on the metaverse.
Jim Cramer apologizes for encouraging people to buy Meta (Facebook) stock: “I made a mistake here. I was wrong. I trusted this management team. That was ill advised. The hubris here is extraordinary, and I apologize.”

NILI or NILIF 12 cents today 100 billion plus in Lithium in nothern Nevada? not far from Lac's (35,00 per share price )Thacker Pass lithium deposit has a grade of 3000ppm
2 beds 1700 metres by 300 to 400 metres wide
already drilled down 160 metres
stock price close today .12 cents
rags to riches
assays pending and most likely out next week sometime
nili has 4500ppm grades already from drill hole 1
SURGE BATTERY METALS CONFIRMS HIGH GRADE LITHIUM DISCOVERY IN FIRST DRILL HOLE AT NEVADA NORTH PROJECT
The first hole of an eight-hole reverse circulation drill program has confirmed the potential for a high-grade lithium deposit existing at Surge Battery Metals Inc.'s Nevada North lithium project located north of Wells, Nev.
Six representative and randomly selected samples of silty clay, taken from varying depths in drill hole NN22-01, range from a low of 1,790 parts per million to a high of 4,500 ppm lithium (average 3,093 ppm lithium). Full drill results will be announced once received from the lab, expected in two to three weeks.
Lithium sample results vertical drill hole NN22-01, total depth of 82.3 metres (270 feet):
3,170 ppm from three m to 4.6 m (10 ft to 15 ft); tan clay with fine tuff sand;
4,500 ppm from 9.1 m to 10.7 m (30 ft to 35 ft); blue-green silty clay;
1,790 ppm from 16.8 m to 18.3 m (55 ft to 60 ft); blue-green silty clay;
1,990 ppm from 59.5 m to 61 m (195 ft to 200 ft); dark blue-grey silty clay;
2,980 ppm from 61 m to 62.5 m (200 ft to 205 ft); dark blue-grey silty clay;
4,130 ppm from 62.5 m to 64 m (205 ft to 210 ft); dark blue-grey silty clay.
Initial results from drill hole NN22-01 confirm that significant surface lithium soil values of up to 5,120 ppm lithium also continue to a depth of over 64 m (200 ft). Drilling in all holes encountered similar silty clay units ranging in drilled depths of up to 91.5 m (300 ft) in most holes and up to a depth of 160 m (525 ft) in drill hole NN22-07.
The maiden drilling program was implemented to test an area of about 1,700 metres east-west occurring in two bands, each about 300 to 400 metres wide, that outlined a highly anomalous zone containing abundant sample points greater than 1,000 ppm lithium.
Greg Reimer, company president and chief executive officer, states: "The initial drill sample results have confirmed that highly anomalous lithium values persist to depth in the silty clay unit that appears to underlie the better soil values observed in samples collected last year and earlier this summer.
"Our maiden drilling program has identified significant potential for a lithium deposit in an area of northern Nevada not previously recognized for its lithium potential. We look forward to seeing the completed assay results from the eight-hole program as they are received over the next few weeks. The company plans to continue work at this exciting new discovery in the months ahead and we are well financed to do so."
Drilling utilized a buggy-mounted system provided by O'Keefe Drilling Company of Butte, Mont. Site preparation and water handling were provided by Legarza Exploration of Elko, Nev. Drill cuttings were collected on five-foot intervals and bagged at the drill site by O'Keefe staff. Samples were collected from the site by the Surge project geologist and delivered to the ALS Global sample preparation facility in Twin Falls, Idaho. Samples were dried, crushed and pulverized at the Twin Falls facility and sent to other ALS laboratories for analysis. Samples were assayed using the ALS ICP-41 method using an aqua regia leach followed by inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrography. The detection level of lithium by this method is 10 to 10,000 ppm. Complete results are pending.
META (facebook) down 17% after hours. wow. it was briefly up 8% after hours. Who needs to trade OTC stocks? lol
"Expert trading"??? LOL!!
Nope, just following the sage advice that's permeated TGL (and other threads) since the '90s. Something akin : "If you ain't selling and taking some profits, you ain't trading or making money"
I know I butchered the hell out of the original mantra but you get the idea
Theo Daily Blast....hmmmmmmmm, sounds like something that happens when you pull my finger 😏
that is some expert trading there young man! I think I'll subscribe to your newsletter! Theo Daily Blast
I'm sure it would beat Value Line 👍
Have begun selling my trading shares (NOT my core position) of ATOM that I nibbled at during the past few weeks in the same increments (10-25 share lots) that I bought 'em-- starting with the shares a I bought @ $7.80
Was looking at the crypto charts, most look like a train crash. Glad I never figured out what it was all about
You did and I even told my wife that I had a buddy in France who tol' me it wuz gonna be warm. We even blew off taking rain-gear and I added couple more short sleeve shirts than I originally had planned. Still, I didn't think it was going to be consistently 22-27 Celsius 🔆 😎
Not a complaint about the weather- just wish I had taken your advice more to heart lol
Underwear is the ONE item I pack plenty of... especially knowing that I'll be wearing some, if not most, clothes more than once...
Who/what are the major platforms for recruitment (head hunters) in Canada? I'm not sure my son is on the right path.
Sometimes difficult to get him to listen to his old man
And I think I made up the siggy, must have been around the time that SI changed for moderated boards and an ignore feature.
"The scumbags have already front loaded."
Oh yeah, you just gotta ignore the pumps and focus on their overall market impressions. I do the same for Zack's (and a few other lesser known stock news blasts as well). What I look for is consistency in their consensus/projections of topics such as undervalued sectors, 1-3-6-9 month future market condition/directions, and etc.,
"I paid 1800 euros to order it special for you "
Worth every euro!
My only complaint was that I did not pack any shorts based on internet 10-day weather predictions. ( I did have ONE pair of cargo pants that I was able to unzip at both knees to remove the pant legs from effectively turning them into shorts) I really should've packed more shorts...
Did I ever drink wine... I'm not a connoisseur by any stretch but do enjoy a nice Pinot Grigio with most of my meal choices here in the states. however, I got really turned on to a Burgundy Rosé that floored me. Don't believe (or remember) having had any "bad" wine while we were in France that I did not like. But that Rosé was something else...
Funny, everyday I watched French TV news (in English) in the a.m. and again just before bed- anyway, the day we left Lyon for Paris (via charted bus as the rails were shut down due to the strikes grrrr) they claimed that there were no "open" petro stations along the route. However, I spotted at least two along the highway that were actively selling gas and the lines were only 2-3 deep at most- much unlike the city tours where the lines wrapped clear around the block. Saw one stretch of road where vehicles were just abandoned...
By the time we left Thursday a.m. I believe that most of the unions had settled?
Had a great time in France- the wait staff at every town/city (from Marseilles to Avignon to Viviers to Lyon to Paris) were very accommodating and we did not always go the traditional tourist routes while in the cities.
Very enjoyable time.
lol, sounds like the makings of a movie sequel, like "The Hustler/The Color of Money"
Hmmmm, now what actor could play Wayne Rs character.......maybe The Rock, he's in everything.
tried the same, even a partial, "I don't care if I'm ignored" in quotes, but does give some results.
I googled that and can't find any references. Maybe I simply made it up.
I'm going down memory lane with that thread.
I said this
Yeah that rings a bell lol, You and Jim on it obviously.
Was it this?

The shorters of the day weren't happy
Gas stations in Lithuania?
I was in at .35 I think if it is the same pinkie
We believe it ... I was in one stock that I bought at a nickle, and a filing came out saying they were getting bought out at 5 bucks. I thought yeah right, then the symbol stopped trading, and 6 months later, I got the 5 bucks a share entered into my account. It was obviously some money laundering scheme I stumbled across.

Oh boy, I should have known that. We kinda fell out of contact
Nootka Sound, Vancouver Island.
Did he pass here in Canada or New Zealand?
He died, doing what he loved:
"Jim Bishop was doing what he loved fishing in Nootka Sound- he had a Salmon in the cooler and one in the net."
got lucky it just happened in plain sight!
Yes. we always remember him. Greatly missed.
