I just wanted to sound like I knew what he was talking about.
Did I?
LOL, I was going to thank Dan for the new tip!
Oh yeah, Susie taught me that years ago. I always forget those things. Thanks.
Post this message to me once a month and I will be fine. Thanks again.
Ergo,
When you are looking at the reply click your cursor once in the box containing the post number and then press enter key.
That will take you to the post on the board.
Dan
It isn’t bad enough that I forgot what alias bob now uses but I also forgot where he wanted suggestions posted. I did notice that he has been out to lunch since the eleventh of December, must be nice, probably at a tractor sinking.
Anyway I was just looking at a reply and I was wondering if there was a way I could get to that point in the thread from the reply.
Another suggestion:
Perhaps there can be a way to have posts automatically deleted
IF a post had any key words which were
not allowed under the vulgarity tou.
(including close variations of such words)

Edit third image to...
On Member Photos page a mouse click on a member's alias opens a new pop-up windows
of the phot of that member. Included in this new window is that X to close the window,
returning you back onto the Member Photos page.
Great, but sometimes new members will troll these alias names looking for a match
of a person on another site, and most likely no photo was available there making
a wondermint who this person really is. So rather than copy and paste the alias name
into the search for member menu, maybe have another "Close X" option that transfers you
to the member's Profile page rather than return to Member Photos page.
If the brower's Back feature return's one to the Member Photos page then one can flip
easily back and forth.

I'll bet MS3 was hoping to get an answer in 300 words or less.
I guess that's out the window if Bob's going to answer the question.
LOL
Bob wants site suggestions to go through him, so here is fine. Maybe someday he'll even reply to some of them ;)
John (Meatloaf) is the head programmer now, so you should ask him on his board:

Great idea, BTW.
Bob,
Is there any plan for the future to be able to remove multiple posts at one time? For example, if stock ABCD
takes 2 pages to discuss cheese and "lol" every other post...
That's one hundred posts to remove one by one.........
thanks.

Could you please fix this?
When I look at a board in the regular mode I see this at the top right.
but when I hit the MANAGE link I get this view showing the Next 50 and Previous 50 links reversed.
Hey you know the way the active board screen reads:
Board Name Last Post Author Total Posts Latest Post
Is there a way you could activate the stock symbol on that screen?
Not that I've noticed.
Yep, it actually logged me off earlier and I can't even remember the last time that happened.
Intermittent slowness here also.
IHUB having any problems this morning or is it on my end?
I am SURE you did!
I would like to see the ignore feature with an option that would not allow an ignored poster to post or reply to a post.
I'd like to see a board, or even a spot(link) on the Home page that would take you to a board or post that contained all the features of Ihub, past & new.
D'oh! Never mind, I see you added that to the project queue about a week ago.
No, I don't like it for aesthetic reasons. The servers could care less. Gmail does something similar. There's a red item in your menu when there's something new. I don't know if it goes away once you've looked at whatever is new, but it does go away eventually.
I think most people aren't big on flashy things which is why it could work. People will click on it if they know it will go away once they do!
Unless you mean you aren't big on flashy things because it does something to the innards of IHUB?

What do you think? I like this (toned down a bit - I'm not big on flashing things on the screen). We do a pretty haphazard job of announcing new features I think. We'd get more bang for the development buck if there was some centralized place people could go and see a list of what's new.
you're also Barry Bonds???
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'M A STEROIDZAL GAZELLE!!!
SHAKERZZZ...is dat you?
I know this has been brought up on the Q&A board but since Bobby says this is the place, I am going to bring it up again.
Will IHUB be implementing the "tool" where we can see what someone's previous alias was? There seems to be a real increase in people changing their names and unless the person is on your membermarked list, you have no clue that it is a change or just someone you never spoke to before.
Address this to Bob or Matt. Bob is being the gateway to user initiated changes at the moment.
can't you put something in the DATE FIELD like 3/26/2000?
I try not to date posts. And yes, 12:00AM is exactly like midnight ;)
All that means is the date field is empty.
lol...well, how about giving it a date like 3/26/2000...and when the heck is 12:00 AM is that like midnight?
This is board number 5, from back in the days when Matt was a mere infant. He didn't have enough money from running his paper route to purchase a date for the new board - just a time.
How come this board doesn't have a DATE CREATED but only a time?
Great idea getting this board going again Bob.
Can I be the first to check the status on suggestions that have already been made?
1) Will the home page background color ever be changeable like the favorites page is?
2) Will there come a time when you can click on a person and it will show a list of boards that they have posted on...a la RB?
Posting a message here so the system won't thumb its nose at me when I ask it to let me be the Moderator.
How come when i ignore a member, there post still show an unread in the Favorites?? That is until i view a post one higher than the ignored member which clears the list again.
Just noticed (not sure how long it's been there but there have been other improvements lately):
If you enter your word to search for and hit go without pulling down to "Public Msgs" then on the lower right of the next page will be a hotlink entitled "Full Text Search for -your word-". Click on it and your there without having to use the pulldown.
Recheck for your colors request it may have improved,
goto "Tools" then "My Interface".
I'd like to second this request - it would be nice to have the search box default to a public message search.
Got another suggestion too - how about being able to customize more of the interface colors like the colors of links, text color (apart from the menu) and other title bars (like on the favorites page where it currently has the red/green/blue board/people/links title bars)
It would be nice not to have to go to quotes when you want to do a full text search, if I am missing somthing could you let me know....thanks wasatch
fix the delete folder button please
Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a01a8'

Will do. Here's a suggestion for you:
Display the Mailbox instructions or a big link for instructions somewhere on the mailbox page. I have to dig deep to figure out how to use "an integral part of the iHub experience."
The mailbox is going to be a really useful feature for me Being able to save public and private messages is huge as I have all this crap cut and pasted into notepad and cluttering my desktop.
In the future, swing by the Q&A board for stuff like this. It's the active board for this type of questions/suggestions.
