Although today's news release didn't have an impact on PPS,the future of Rascals appears to be shaping up very nicely.
Press Release for Rascals Intl Inc
Rascals International Opens First Mega Entertainment Complex and Generated Approximately $95,000 in Revenue First Weekend
3/29/2004 8:15:19 AM
MONTCLAIR, N.J., Mar 29, 2004 (PRIMEZONE via COMTEX) -- Rascals International Inc. ( RSCA ) announced today that it has opened one of its first mega-entertainment complexs, Headliners Entertainment Resorts, which will feature the Rascals Comedy Club, a nightclub and the Cactus Lounge. This 30,000 square foot club, opened in Jackson, Mississippi, and generated approximately $95,000 in its first weekend with well over 6,000 people walking through its doors over a 3 day period. This is the first of three mega-entertainment complexes scheduled for construction by Rascals during the next twelve months. Additionally, the Company's recently announced transaction to acquire 100% ownership of a nationally known chain of popular nightclubs, is proceeding as expected to close prior to the end of the second calendar quarter of 2004.
"We are very pleased by the grand opening. It shows what these highly profitable entertainment complexes will do in revenues in one convenient location," stated Ed Rodriguez, Rascals Chairman and CEO. "By combining these entertainment venues under one roof, we will also reduce our operating overhead at each location and expand upon the value proposition being offered to our customers. Providing a fully integrated, multi-venue entertainment experience in a single location is unparalleled in our industry. By successfully implementing this strategy, Rascals will significantly enhance revenues and potential earnings for fiscal 2004, while creating enhanced value for our shareholders, business partners and customers."

I will give it a shot...Is there anyone out there other than Guidobuc who sees a big upside and is buying in now?
scorp072,
I have on a couple of occassions. He has not been available and has not returned my calls. I also have tried e-mailing the company. The website and PR's provide contact information, but the e-mail alias's are dead ends.
I too would encourage you to try to make contact. If successful, please share what information is provided. I'll continue trying as well.
The company invites inquires from investors, but (at least so far) they don't seem to want to make themselves available. I believe they owe their investors some answers as to what may be causing the steady decay of the pps.
Good luck,
wolf
Are you saying call and ask Ed R. what the heck is going on? Has anyone tried that?
call the company and get back to me
I want to know exactly the same, I wonder if that Equity Line of Credit Agreement with Cornell Capital Partners has anything to do with the down trend. Anyway I bought some more today in case of a rebound, wich is very likely.
On the other side I'll wait for Robert J. Vile's investment research for investrend, if it's positive, then I could be making 200% to 300% on the stock I bought today.
Regards.
Down Down Down...there seems to be no end to this slide. I like their expansion efforts, and it looks like it will make them profitable at some point, but what's going on with the stock price??
C
that's cause they are raising funds. It's being bought by that
investment company.
gitmancip,
You've been around awhile, certainly much longer than me. Maybe, if you don't mind, you can help me understand a little better what I'm reading in these SEC filings. It appears that Rascals is dumping a large volume of shares into the market???
thanks,
wolf

Good question... I've pasted links to their web site below, however the financial information showing 2m shares outstanding and 1.69m market cap is 8 months old. I'm attempting to locate a press release that's a couple of months old where they announced options for employees. I don't recall seeing the details, consequently, don't know what the conditions of those options are. but... If they were not already baked into the float and If recipients are able to excercise them immediately, that could explain possible dilution and the pps trend we're seeing.
I'll keep looking to find out what I can. Their website does have some good information, however some is a little dated.
http://www.rascalscomedyclub.com/
http://www.rascalscomedyclub.com/Corporate/corporate.html
On a positive note... Their new clubs should generate excellent revenues and profits. That will certainly get pps moving in the right direction.
Also... I've seen several very large share purchases over the past couple of weeks. That indicates that we are attracting serious investors.
I'm just a little frustrated that I'm not able to talk with a company representative. If they don't want to make themselves available for investor inquires, then they would be well served not to invite those inquires.
wonder how many shares are outstanding now
Pretty quiet board, not sure if anyone is watching... but...
Has anyone been able to talk with Ed or someone else from the company?
I've tried a number of times by phone and mail. He won't return calls and the e-mail addresses are dead ends. Would really like to get some insight as to the trend we're seeing.
wolf
march should be good...new clubs opening.
I heard people are starting to order their certificates because
of the short positions here. Anyone heard anything from the
company?
ok, financings closed..now what? Can't wait to see what they
have planned now and who is the other video distributor....could
it be BlockBuster? We'll soon find out I guess.
According to a release, Sept 19th was a dealline to finalize funding of 900 000$. Anyone have details?
no , I'm sticking with companies that deal both in BC
and Las Vegas, if you know what I mean.
Git...I see it's got a low OS, what's the trading float?...What's gonna move this? Do they have a financing/expansion plan?...Partners/acquisitions?...I'm in the Phoenix area 3 days a month...Get me interested 'n I'll stop by to see if it's a hub-club or dud-club..Cap
John...Thanks!..I'll take a look at AVHC 'n here's one back at ya...UAX~~on the verge of becomming a Company...Yep, I liked the look of LFZA's vehicle 'n I'm sure they've cleaned-up the mating process of power-train 'n body. Then there was the chicken ranch they were gonna buy for the "assembly plant"...I think I sold for a profit which is unusual LOL...Regards...Cap
Sure would be nice to see one of the entertainment stocks really do well.
John
Git...Hope ya got somethin' more on this than the Lerman/AMEX deal...I have a Company that hired Lerman for an AMEX listing...He supplied false...Oops! Over-optimistic "projections" for the Company PR which wound-up with a 30 day halt and a SEC injunctive action against the Company and it's Prez and COO...It's been over a year 'n they still have no SEC resolution...Lerman is enough fer me to shy-away but would like to hear if there's more...Cap
Hi Cap,
I'm still holding my el-cheapo LFZA collection, because several people with Big Money are so deeply into the operation that I don't think they can afford NOT to make a go of it. Still a super vehicle. And, many of the smaller "..amored-Kludgemobile re-fitters.." have closed their doors recently.....
I think you should take a hard look at AVHC, real company, real product, tremendous market.
Regards,
John
