most bankruptcies the pensions are wiped out especially if the company forced the employees to buy its stock at much higher prices under the it's an employee benefit program. Alot of pension plans are supposed to be independently owned and operated separately from the company.

If the company is ripped apart and disolved the pension plan is done for and wont matter because there will be no company to make up the short fall.

The pension plan is probably going to be wiped out in some form regardless of what options are pursued.

they passed that law that Congress can be prosecuted for trading on insider or confidential information several years back because before that they were exempt from the law and would take full advantage of insider trading.

Lionwarrior answering what his long term plans for the 40,000 workers and the severance plans is no way insider information. I feel a 1 year employment guarantee is not sufficient. Not continuing to provide royalites from Kenmore and DieHard two of the most recognizable brands into the pension system is not good faith either. I disagree. I think he genuinely is concerned and wants to help them keep their jobs. My issue with the Warren article is either it is 1 fake news.... or if she really did that she has no room to talk as she is immorally trying to line her own pockets with insider information. Her requesting him to tell her privately the plan is immoral and illegal. Especially given her interest in real estate herself. This is exactly why we have a judge who will hear the plan and decide what is the best going forward. I believe Judge Drain knows what he is doing and will do the right thing. I also believe he Lamperts plan will be exposed begore 2/14 or whatever the date was the article had in there. So to me the article was pointless. Its either fake news or if its real news then her real intentions should be investigated. Either way I believ judge will approve and we will move forward.

Judge Drain should pause a moment and before confirming weigh in on Warren's 8 questions for Lampert and Sears fate if sale is confirmed. Remember Lampert has not truly detailed any business model, employee benefits packages, etc in the sale. Should that information be afforded to the judge to see if Lampert is buying this in good fate or buying it for specific assets.

Warren is asking Lampert, among other things, to provide “specific details” about his long-term plans, to explain how he’ll protect workers’ pensions and severance, and to explain how he will avoid conflicts of interest moving forward.

I personally do not like Warren and her Politics but I have to side with her on this. Lampert is not saving 40,000 jobs. He is mainly extending them for 1 year. In his takeover bid there is no guarantee those jobs will be there after 1 February 2020. If he is looking out for the best interest of the 40,000 employees lets make the employment guarantee 5 years or 10 years (give people piece of mind) or attach a severance package if there jobs are loss that gives them a few years of pay and full benefits. I have no vested interest in the 40,000 people or Lampert I have only vested interest in the stock price going over .56 so I can start making a profit. Posters on this board need to stop saying Lampert is doing this for the 40,000 jobs. That is a lie.

Did you see what they are and what they claim? there are land scaping companies, floor cleaning companys and a whole lot of malls that are loosing an anchor store in a realestate venture that is dying. Oh lets not for get FEDEX, but the biggest suprise is NO PBGC..... For a company that had possibly thousands of business relationships and the list you mention as if was substantial in some way.
