Aye; Rock Creek getting the stop sign was a major operational blow to Revett Minerals.
This stock basically is waiting for the go ahead for rock creek. Without it this company is done.
Anyone have a target here? Or going through the buyout? I sold 37 @ 47 needed for an opportunity, just asking. Not many board users here. Thanks.
BUYOUT OF RVM - SHAREHOLDER LAWSUIT
Shareholders of RVM are encouraged to contact law firm to inquire about obtaining a higher price for their shares. No cost to join. 1-800-511-7037
I am waiting to see silver above $18/oz....
Price seems to be stabilizing. How much longer will you need to wait?
I grabbed a position today, 3rd time owning RVM.
How do we get there?
1. China downturn stops-growth resumes $3-3.50 cu
2. Dollar correction-gold 2000-silver -30-40
3. Troy resumes production-20 million net income
4. Rock creek approved.
5. Joint venture 51% -keep 49% rock creek
6. Rock creek production interest 3 millon ag per year at 1/2 cost of troy production
7. 100 million net income at 15 multiple-maybe 2020-2021
Off to the funny farm I go!
Very good! I am not a chart person but it seems in the last 5 days the falling knife seems to have stopped at 37 cents. I will look at svbl , but am less enthusiastic about Mexico. I was in this stock too early also so I understand. I may not post that often, because I think a lot of my views are out of step with today's reality.
This will sound insane, but if things break the right way I could see this stock at 39 dollars -100 times current price.
I am not saying I this is not a good long term investment at the current prices...rather looking at the chart, especially the last 2 weeks along with the recent news and sharp sell off...personally I think this has farther to go in the sell off...hopefully I am wrong as I am sitting on some large losses at the current prices...I started buy ~ a year ago when the insiders began buying and bought all the way up to $1.20/share.....I like this company and the prospects for the new mine, and hopefully getting Troy back up...I'll add more once I feel that the sell off is over...it is definitely too soon since the announcement of Troy and the sharp sell off for me to add more right now..
Everyone's portfolio and risk appetite are different...I keep the majority of my portfolio in the SP500 index funds as well as Total Market funds....and I have about 25-30 individual stocks I invest in on a regular basis...as well as ~5-10 stocks I move in and out of...in the micro-cap metals area I prefer SVBL over RVM right now...but I will be watching RVM, especially for indications of insider buying once we are ~30+ days out from the RVM announcement on Troy...I think that will be the sign when to add more...once the insiders start buying again..or if silver prices begin to show support
Nice to see anyone here. Keep it going guys, might get a new starter here soon, good luck RVM
Understand your point of view, but are you saying you would not add one bit if the valuation dropped let's say below 10 million? They have about as much cash as debt and the copper & silver is now staying in the ground until prices improve.
I know of no other company where resources in the ground are valued so cheaply. Let me paraphrase legendary investor Seth Klarman.
When everybody is waiting to find out how low the values will go to rather than using pencil and paper to figure out the values that you may be getting the best bargains of your life. I will admit he has tied up a lot of capital too early in nova gold.
I want to ask a question related to some other board posts you have made.
Let's say you had just 5 investment choices hl, fcx , rvm or the new smnpf or cash. Could you not achieve a better risk -reward by investing only 20% of your total in rvm or smnpf and keeping 80% in cash than by investing 100% in fcx and hl. Valuations are so cheap on the risky "call options" that it negates the advantages of the lower cost producers. Remember you are keeping 80% in cash. Hecla produces 11 million ounces silver and some gold but it is valued at over a billion still so that limits the upside.
One could ask the same question about nem vs anv , although here I think you put 90% in cash as anv is very risky. Thanks for your reply!
I agree...I think RVM is undervalued..especially with the low float...but it still looks like a falling knife to me...I'll sit tight on my position and only add once it appears to have bottomed or positive news on metal prices or mining operations is seen.
Of course but was the drop excessive since it's market cap is lower now than mgn next door which is much earlier in the permit process for montanore than for rock creek? Assign 10 million value for rock creek less than the 16 million value for mgn. That leaves you a 5 million valuation for troy.
A call option on reserves of more than 8 million ounces of silver and 60 million pounds of copper. Yes it's slightly uneconomic but does anybody know for sure that silver or copper will be lower 10 years from now and every year of those 10.
The 15 million market cap for rvm is not rational!
This thing is going to drop...
PR just released:
Be Careful Gumbi, the company has lost 6 accounts in Michigan they had 15 and now they have 9. That is a bad sign, they might be in some financial distress here! Good Luck to you sir and I hope all is well on your end. I am officially out, I have no more shares!
Afternoon Gumbi, I was up in Missouri and inquired about EZ Pay Missouri not many businesses knew what I was talking about. I learned recently that Montgomery TX recinded their contract with Ez card and kiosk #D6 of pdf below, also learned that Tony Worthington is no longer showing up as President of Ez Pay Missouri, they are also delinquent in their filing in Colorado and finally Greene County Missouri Clerk of Court is no longer using Ez Pay Missouri.Note: the Ez Pay Missouri website is no longer active. All I have learned is not good for the shareholders and the future of GPSI. Below are the links supporting my findings.
I won't post on the GPSI board because I don't want to hurt anyone who has shares. I am out and done with GPSI!

Whats up Gumbi, this is what I think is going on.
This is probably the reason why GPSI took off today, Growblox is using their own proprietary kiosks and the same Bank that C4eversystems it looks like GPSI is spreading their product. Lot's of inside trading happening today! Good luck hope all is well.

Good luck sir. I wouldn't sell at bid either. Take care and have a good summer.
Hi Gumbi,I have not sold at the bid. Stay strong friend and GLTU
Good afternoon Revett Minerals Inc. (RVM) looking for a strong hour of power!
Looks like they got the capital raise out of the way and looking at the chart we start moving above .95 then i think 1.10/1.20s are very possible. Its a small floater and tightly held.Doesn't look like many eyes are on it either.
True story. I wonder what the recent finance deal is going to do?
Allot of reasons for insiders to sell but only one reason that i know for insiders to buy.
I wonder what's motivating them?
RVM heavy insider buying......1.00s coming
this same broker has RVM in their latest mailer out today as a tickler so we should see a volume rebound in the AM.
$RVM - No Respite For Revett Minerals
http://seekingalpha.com/article/1749302-no-respite-for-revett-minerals
In December last year Revett Minerals (RVM) was forced to cease production at its Troy mine in Montana due to structural instability following an earthquake. We gave an account of the situation in this article and mused on the possibility of an investment opportunity arising in the near future. The thesis was to take advantage of the depressed share price and speculate on a significant increase when production could resume again.
As it happened, no news was released by the company for quite some time until a month ago the company finally announced indications of a breakthrough in revitalizing the mine. We followed suit with this article suggesting a speculative investment in Revett Minerals. Our thesis was based on the possibility of resuming production before the end of the year and we expected a healthy rise in share price resulting from this event.
Alas, this thesis was not to come to fruition. Today Revett Minerals announced the discovery of further instabilities rendering a major haulage way unsafe. The company now intends to construct a new decline and reach the undeveloped North C bed within twelve months. The deeper I bed can be reached about six months later. Construction of this decline will start as soon as permits are obtained.
Costs for this measure are estimated to be $12M and available funds are sufficient to start construction. However, the company will probably have to raise additional capital in order to be able to complete construction of the decline.
Shares dropped by 40% upon breaking of this news item and your humble scribe found himself selling at a hefty loss. Unfortunate as it may be, we do not anticipate a speedy share price recovery from present levels and have decided to secure remaining funds.
The situation as it presents itself at the moment would also allow for speculation on a takeover of the company by an entity interested to develop the company's other asset, the Rock Creek project.
Corporate Presentation as of October 2013
http://www.revettminerals.com/sites/default/files/corporate_presentation_october_2013.pdf
Revett Minerals owns and operates the Troy Mine and the world class pre-development stage Rock Creek project (containing inferred and historical resource estimates of 300 million ounces of silver and 2.5 billion pounds of copper); both properties are located in northwestern Montana.
Our focus and dedication, combined with operations experience at the Troy Mine and the significant potential at the Rock Creek Project, form the basis of our goal to become a mid-tier precious and base metals producer.
Our plan is to resume production through exploration in and around our Troy mine and, through further development of our Rock Creek Project. Revett also continues to evaluate other precious metal and base metal business opportunities that are compatible with our mining and processing expertise.
History
Named after the Revett rock formation which spans one of North America’s potentially richest mining districts, Revett Minerals was formed in 1999 to acquire the Troy Mine which had been kept on care and maintenance status since 1993 and the Rock Creek project which was at the permitting stage of a draft Environmental Impact Statement. Both silver and copper properties were previously explored and developed by Kennecott and Asarco. In late 2004, the Troy Mine was brought back into production and operated continuously until operations were suspended in December 2012. Development is currently underway to resume production at the Troy Mine in late 2014. The Rock Creek project received its Record of Decision in 2003 and final Biological Opinion in 2006, both documents were subsequently challenged by a number of environmental groups with the Final EIS and Record of Decision remanded back to the Forest Service in 2010. In November 2011, we received a critical decision from the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals affirming the prior District Court's favorable ruling regarding challenges brought under the Endangered Species Act. We are currently working to complete a Supplemental EIS on the Rock Creek Project to address some NEPA related issues.

At Revett, our environmental philosophy can best be described as “responsible use.” Like Teddy Roosevelt, we believe that with care and planning, we can utilize our natural resources to benefit today's generation while leaving a valuable natural legacy for the generations that follow.
Copper and silver ore play a vital role in today's modern world. It is used in computers, telephones, solar energy cells, electrical components, air and water purifiers, aerospace, and medicine. The challenge is to recover the ore in a responsible manner.
How does that work in practice? Before we move a single pebble, we have carefully planned the entire project. Working with regulators and scientists, we know how we will manage the operation to protect neighboring wildlife and habitat, how we will preserve water quality, how we will restore the landscape when the project is completed, and how we will monitor it for years afterward to ensure that the environment is protected.
As Theodore Roosevelt said, “In utilizing and conserving the natural resources of the nation, the one characteristic more essential than any other is foresight.”
We couldn't have said it better.
It is the mission of Revett Minerals Inc. to become one of the finest silver/copper producers in the industry while providing a safe, environmentally sound and fulfilling atmosphere for all involved. It is the philosophy of Revett Minerals that our integrity will not, for any reason, be compromised in pursuit of this goal.

That's why we're committed to building a connection with our neighbors and providing a clear and open view of the Rock Creek Project. By incorporating suggestions from stakeholders and following through with commitments, we hope to earn your trust as good neighbors.
This Agreement will establish and maintain lines of communications between the managers of Rock Creek and area residents to address any concerns and answer any questions they may have about the development and operation of the mine.
In addition, the Agreement will provide local groups, elected officials, and individuals with an opportunity to participate in decisions about the project that may affect their local community, economy, or environment.
For example, if the plan calls for us to move part of the Rock Creek Road, rest assured we're committed to working with our neighbors to make sure that what we do meets everyone's needs.
As part of this effort, we will be holding information meetings to keep our neighbors informed about the Project, and we're already meeting with local officials and groups to listen to their concerns.
Our commitment to being a good neighbor extends beyond Lincoln and Sanders counties downstream to the folks in Idaho. It is our hope you join our effort to ensure that Rock Creek will be a good neighbor.
If you're interested in working with your County Commissioners, who will take the lead in forming this advisory body, contact them and let them know you'd like to be a good neighbor also.
