yes charts would say if it closes at its 'high' then next day down.
a "rising wedge" is in play.
however,
Am seeing some pros claiming this rally could last a while, I suspect that's because they're back in for a while. What's a while though.
This is a weird one IMO.
I made my 8% here and out of trade. Killed it on SPY calls scalping in and out this morning. Just being sarcastic but realistic traded in 2008 and 2000 and they kept on saying don’t worry we are bullish again when we retraced above 20% from bearish level back into correction. Everything going to be ok again. Give it until summertime ….where those broke Americans going to get cash to pay those credit card bills and fill up those gas tanks and pay those electric bills and pay for average $2,000
mortgages.
You play the markets they give you each day. Today was bullish and a lot of beating has been done on stocks but not enough yet. Wait a few more weeks. Maybe SQQQ Monday maybe TQQQ.
Happy Memorial weekend
scalp? all it did was go up today
A very interesting possibility indeed LD.
Apparently there is a fairly regular bear market rally historically after the S&P 500 first enters Bear Market which it did for less than a day something like a week ago.
A little something to ponder this delightful upcoming holiday:
If the big boy Mutual Funds can trick market timers who went to cash weeks ago to jump back into their favorite stock funds yesterday and today (5/26-27/2022) and the indexes start dropping again for weeks to come ... the Mutual Funds won't have to give away as much profit to those who cash back OUT of those funds down the road.
You wouldn't suppose the HUGE Mutual Funds have gotten together to engineer this 2-day bear market rally for THAT very reason, now would you ... to sucker folks back into the stock market that is going to keep going lower IMO?
Been a very good scalp day so far!
Invert your chart bra, it bounched, we are not in bear market by chart standards
For the bullish rally in bear market playing this a few hours for a scalp
s followed by 3-Q's
I don't think I've ever looked at the S stock
Time to buy more S
Yep I should have held a little bit longer. LOL could of gotten another $2.00 a share higher
It's tough to trade sometimes. Wanting to hold and scared to buy etc. Emotions get the best of a lot of people. If we buy and sell and make money. Our accounts will continue to grow and that's why we're all here
thats what she said "." "."
NVDA reporting...might CAUSE A NORTHERN EXPLOSION CAUSING TQQQ TO jolt higher imo
just remember to donate..
we'll_slow_down_but_you_better get a running start, cause its already left
Yeah - a bit challenging, to say the least.
I think if it were me, I would try some 1,000 share buys at a time ... PAPER trading.
Program some Limit Buys and Limit Sells when convenient and when it seems wise.
And don't let LOSSES in your PAPER trading "get" to you. Paper trade losses are probably the BEST way to learn to make profitable trades down the road ... (but few seem to have the discipline to stick with paper trading)
Building one's CONFIDENCE (not ARROGANCE) in making wise decisions in buying and selling is of upmost importance says my 4 wino buddies on the street corner.
Professional card sharks understand this well.
I look between deliveries and stuff when I get a chance. Just can't do it all the time.
whats interesting about that video? some old dude saying tqqq and sqqq "get on right side of trade" waste of 2 min thanks
well 1 min at 2xspeed cause his "agent orange" has him talking slow
You have a cellphone to the Internet you can look at while driving?
(Interesting video worth watching IMO:
I don't have a lot of time to watch during the day. I drink semi trucks and hustle freight for local deliveries
Having the time to watch things and take advantage of them ...
Willingness to short term trade BOTH SQQQ and TQQQ ...
Being able to day trade if you want ...
This volatility in the indexes is MONEY MAKING HEAVEN. Seriously ...
Definitely nothing logical these days. You'd think we've evolved past the neanderthal mentality. Let's beat up those people and take their land. But ole Putin is still thinking that way.
Only some? Lol. I do regret not playing this as it step down as even small gains are better then big loss. I do suspect we're near a temp bottom (temp as bigger may be in future) ... historically, that would seem logical ... but these are not logical times!
That would make some happy campers
Congrats. It's just so tipsy turvy these days. You just never know what will happen next
Just exited all shares myself. Did good -- was expecting to do better.
Like you ... I'm punting a lot of field goals these days with the long side of the QQQ's. Tremors shaking things up everywhere!
Thanks. Probably should have held longer. But the market is so shaky
I'm out at$27.03 made over $700
Looking like we did GOOD.
you know jamie dimon llistens (well not as much after his pay cut)
Great minds think alike. Got back in myself a little bit ago. LOL good luck to both of us
Shit liquidity everywhere. This’ll go lower
Fear stricken panic sellers this morning in the DAQ. Bought a bunch of shares of T under $26 for a quick flip later today most likely.
Yup -- true colors now being shown, it appears.
Looks like a sell-off has started.
The NASDAQ is up afterhours but TQQQ is down a bunch during that same time. If I'm reading this right anybody have any ideas? Thanks.
You're depressing me lol. There are a couple things to think about.
1) where else is there to invest money? Maybe commodities on inflation? There really isn't an alternative to equity market at this time.
2) Continues with 1) investors make money investing and can't stay in cash long = they have to make money sometime!
3) Continuing with 2) if you don't make more than inflation, you are really loosing money. Cash/bonds are not keeping up with inflation! Think in terms of inflated dollars.
4) even in bear markets, there are "runs". And even in the worst downturn, there is always something that's booming!
5) indexes over time have always recovered as index direction is up
6) As messed up as everything is, you can dismiss the first 5!
Ok, back to my depression :P
