NAV up to $6.81 and div maintained at $0.135 for another 3 months. Good report overall. OXLC
Just cashed out 100% of oxlc in my long-term account. Scooped up some more Cen on the dip...
Not sure how earnings is going to affect the price tomorrow better to be safe than sorry
Cool, I'm glad my old shares went to a friend.
And I'm very very very proud of you for all your dividend stocks you own.
I know when to buy and when to sell, there ARE patterns to monthly payers. I have 21 dividend paying positions, need I take your advice?
I probably bought your $8.09's, thanks for that

????? So you keep every single position until you make money on it.
What happens if it doesn't go up you ride it down to 0 ?
Not being scared to sell at a loss is what sets a lot of Traders apart.
Maybe you should start taking advice from me instead of trying to give it.
Lesson number 1
never be afraid to sell something at a loss.
Thats too bad, buying at $8.14 selling at $8.09 isnt the best way to bank benjamins.
Very nice. I guess you were looking to flip and not hold it. This is one of those passive income longs for me. I make a little over 1,400 a month in dividends from it, so I see no need to sell.
I am glad to hear it did work out for you and you are having a profitable year this far. I am well have had a stellar few days.
I have not been to visit my mom since she bought her new house in Arkansas, so I am not sure if there is a basement or not. However, if I do indeed find out she has one, I will inform her that you gave me permission to crash there. :)
Happy trading. Hope your luck continues.
Thanks but no thanks I'm not looking for any advice
Timing is everything, the best time to buy dividend payers is right around the divy announcement, usually within a 3 day window to catch the low.
Try it next month, .135 cents is a great divy to bank
Nice BUY, I got some in that range too $8.05-$8.08. With their quarterly guidance and not changing the .135 dividend I bet ya OXLC will print $10.00 maybe even $11.00 in 2020 if POTUS irons out part II of the trade deal. We all know the market likes direction. Im very pleased OXLC changed from a quarterly payer to a monthly.
Waited until today and made my purchase @ 8.08, thought I could get some under 8 this year but doesn't look like it will drop that far. Let's see what 2020 brings.
OXLC X date 1/14 paying .135 according to quarterly guidance

Out 8.09 8.08 I didn't like it
Look for a marked improvement to NAV in the next quarterly report. LSTA index pricing to par value has really turned around since the end of November. The NAV on these CLO based tickers are very dependent on that pricing.
Someone/something is really loading up down in this $8.15-$8.25 range. OXLC is wound as tight as a spring.
Last I knew NAV was $6.63, will OXLC drop to meet that? IDK but like yourself Im watching for a low before placing a order.
Yup, I'm still waiting to get more, thought it was going to drop under $8 the other day but it just stayed above. Been watching every day
I figure DEC 30/31 will see the low to grab a few more.
Yes, saw the results this morning. I will be buying now until December whenever I have funds available. Good luck
Net asset value (“NAV”) per share as of September 30, 2019 stood at $6.63, compared with a NAV per share on June 30, 2019 of $8.01.
Good, they should announce 1st qtr 2020 DIV then. Hope it's unchanged.
Conferance call October 31st should answer some questions. Ive been waiting to add myself, then again 2 ORC exceeds 1 OXLC's dividend for almost the same share price
Hope they don't cut the DIV, looking to add more shares before end of year.
Looks like OXLC is being walked down to its NAV, cheapies galore if it is but Im leary of a dividend cut.
Its hard to say what they'll do by then. Im always looking for bargains that time of year.
Think the price will drop in December again? Seems to do that every year. Will pick up more shares then.
4 months later I have another opportunity to nail similar prices :) oh happy trade wars
Damn I missed todays $9.77's, maybe next week I'll add more
You made a good call but I also have shares so I'm happy as well
$9.6914
This kind of cheaper?
WOW! thats some rebound today, picked up a few @ $7.86, lol already in the money and the trade hasnt even settled yet.
thanks for the advice :)
Have at but you can get it cheaper in say another hour and even cheaper then that tomorrow. No need to rush on adding while the entire market is getting crushed
Now's a good time to add
Makes no difference to me, Im a buyer at these levels
Sorry but 30% drop in 2 weeks is more of a blood letting then a dip
Yeah, I thought it was good through March 2019. Hope it's not cut after that. Thanks.
Just checked, the dividend is good
On October 30, 2018 our Board of Directors declared the following distributions on our common stock:
Month Ending Record Date Payment Date Amount Per Share
January 31, 2019 January 24, 2019 January 31, 2019 $0.135
February 28, 2019 February 21, 2019 February 28, 2019 $0.135
March 31, 2019 March 22, 2019 March 29, 2019 $0.135
No not really, all companies dip a % EOY. Todays FED raise when theyve stated in November there wouldnt be one has caught many off guard. The only thing I can come with is a possible dividend cut driving the sp down. The markets always know before retail does.
Is this the usual end of the year dip or is there more to this drop? Been a long time since OXL C was under $8.
Thanks to the Feds last raise for 2018 combined with the tax sales occuring there are so many juicy opportunites to BUY the Dips!!! Im in a fog over which opportunity to seize.
It used to be a clean slate was had begining of the new year but the past couple of years the previous years duldrums have extended well into the first Q. I expect to see that again this year with these trade wars going on. Most likely it'll be Feb/March before we see signs that the bear market is being snuffed out.
Been buying the dips on a bunch of divy payers while collecting a bunch EVERY month.
Loads of dry powder in stock watching opportunities present themselves. Last week of the month is when the true bargains are had, anxiously waiting for those.
If I were a short, with whats going on globally, I'd be making serious bank.
This is a pretty big sell off taking place Not exactly enjoyable unless you have lots of dry powder to throw on the fire side share prices!
In the last 3-4 months haven't been trading just collecting the dividends and letting the cash pile grow. I keep adding to my long positions as the opportunity arises.
I did add a few shares of OXLC today but not many. My account was looking great just 3-4 days ago now Bam back in the pit! I think 2019 will be strong this December not off to a good start! LOL
this mornings OXLC low of $9.25 may be repeated if the DOW continues its sell off. December is always a traditional sell off month but never this early, its gotta be the trade wars since the Fed suspended raising rates in 2019, good news for struggling REITS
looks attractive here for sure!
Thank the DOW sell off for OXLC's juicy prices today. Almost hoping they go down more, would love to snatch up some $9.00's. Maybe we'll see that during the Xdate confusion.
I'll take a rain check on ORC but OXLC looks real attractive at 10 dollars!
There are so many opportunities in this down market Im frothing at the mouth trying to decide which stocks to load up on for the 2019 reversal. Even ORC is begining to look promising again.
Looks safe for the first quarter anyway? Good time to buy and add maybe?
