I didn't think of that but I see why.
Some people buy after the dividend is given out and then sell just before the dividend exdate.
Some people buy in to get the dividends and then sell after the dividends are given out.
Why does this stock fluctuate like it does. Is this standard real estate activity?
I have been in OXLC for about a year. I buy the dips and enjoy the dividends.
How long have you been in OXLC? I am only 3 months in.
Good for you! I also bought for the dividends.

I remove the DIVI's to live on as I am retired and use OXLC and other DIVI paying companies for income.

Yes, the dividends are nice. Dividend reinvestment option is nice.

So far so good.
This lastest uptick is making my account wayyyyy into the GREEN.

I think so. I have been adding the dips.
I think so!! I have been adding the dips.
OXLC making a comeback?
I loaded some 2 months ago and I am adding more tomorrow!!
Adding 100 shares a week last two months. Looks good ....
That's what you do. Imho.
Congrats!
OXLC
Yup.....where you put your OTC winnings! Imho.
Ez.
OXLC
Wow! 0.81 / .0675 monthly! Beat my prediction by 1/3+ and the pessimistic guesses by a landslide! You hit it on the head Dividendz! I'm ready to rock!! We're still at 21%
I got out a long time ago
CEN still looks like on the dip and announced a reverse stock split... gotta look closer, they split already happen and you still in?
agreed, hoping for .06 to .07 monthly like they did with OXSQ cutting the dividend in half just recently.

Good guess.
Are you clairvoyant or is there news I can't find?
Is your dividend call why it is not even 11 AM, the volume today is more than the daily average and the stock is up 17%?
What's goin' on? Not complaining just curious.
Okay, I'll play...my guess on new div is .60 annual. Just a guess. .05 per month.
Management’s unaudited estimate of the range of our net asset value (“NAV”) per share of our common stock as of April 30, 2020 is between $2.67 and $2.77.
Is that your guess? If so then I'm thinking .06. I can't see it being higher than ECC's .08
9 cents per quarter is the new divy.
On CEN is that .03 per quarter or .09?
I figure OXLC will come in around .05-.08 cents. Another company I follow $CEN was paying .1042 cents close to OXLC's .135 and they cut down to .03 then decided to pay quarterly. A lot of companies are cutting from lack of business over the Virus. 3rd Q across the board is going to be ugly no matter what the industry is.
Gotta have dry powder looking to scoop up bargains until the economy re-opens turning things around.
Some panicked after the statement made about OXLC cutting or suspending dividends. Who didn't know that they were going to cut reduce the dividend next quarter? I see it being cut in half but definitely not suspended
Everyone collecting divies have taken a beating. Companies need to self preserve. Its just business. The companies maintining their payouts will see a influx of divy chasers. Meanwhile the MM's are having a field day shorting. Bargains are being presented.
They declared their dividend early in the year. I am not sure if they are able to make changes to it at this point. Either way, the dividend stock portion of my portfolio has taken a terrible beating..
Amidst todays turmoil where everyone is cutting dividends Im happy to see OXLC is staying the course.
Agreed... Dividend has been declared through June. Great buy and hold.
This stock is basically free right now. Loading up!

Totally agree. When you apply DRIP you are compounding those babies every months. This is my passive income generator.
OXLC has maintained their .135 cents for years, Im glad they went with monthly divs versus the .40 they used to pay quarterly.
NAV up to $6.81 and div maintained at $0.135 for another 3 months. Good report overall. OXLC
Just cashed out 100% of oxlc in my long-term account. Scooped up some more Cen on the dip...
Not sure how earnings is going to affect the price tomorrow better to be safe than sorry
Cool, I'm glad my old shares went to a friend.
And I'm very very very proud of you for all your dividend stocks you own.
I know when to buy and when to sell, there ARE patterns to monthly payers. I have 21 dividend paying positions, need I take your advice?
I probably bought your $8.09's, thanks for that
