Knock, Knock, anybody here.
UP 45% since March in VRTY. Same sector as OPHI. There will be companies in the healthy food area that will do well.
But my wife froze my funds! made two bad decisions including here in the last year or so! still holding both those bad decisions! she does not look at the big picture make ten right and two wrong! ; )
As did I BUT I will make it back with VPLM.
Like I have said in previous post -- I believed so much in the company--that I left my money in here--not jumping out to get on other movers. I did miss a great deal of other opportunities.
hind site is 20/20.
I called VRTY and they said they have not done any business with OPHI. But they said their customer is more like bigger farming operations to family farms that want to use sustainable agriculute techniquess and non-GMO. But they are not technically ALL organic, because it is difficult to have alot of acreage and be truly Organic-certified.
VRTY stock is up 40% over the past few weeks though.
OPHI will havwe probelms with that STOP sign on OTC Markets.
It's terrible the people or animals that run public companies. They could hardly reconcile their own bank account, yet alone run a company.
I see Pinksheets.com now has us listed with a STOP sign! no real surprise.. I still have not received any response to my two emails sent to them. Somebody needs to get off their ARSE and get us some answers. I sure thought Billy and Alan would not allow this kind of stuff to go on.
RandyK, that scenario could easily be what happened with OPHI.
first suckered into the toxic debt spiral.
then "rescued" by Kenactiv, which may simply be a scam shell.
fwiw, there are many individuals and groups who have run such scams over the years.
eg: Kister/Carnes (Ft Wayne mafia) with EESO.
Verity Corp in New York Times Article on Controversy Over Use of Glyphosate and Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO) Seeds and Their Effects on Soil Health
Article Entitled "Misgivings About How a Weed Killer Affects the Soil"
SIOUX FALLS, SD, September 24, 2013 - (ACCESSWIRE) - Verity Corp (VRTY) (www.veritycorp.com/), an agricultural services company offering farmer products and services which focus on soil and crop health through the use of earth friendly crop inputs including proprietary biological media, the use of non-GMO seeds, and the utilization of revitalized water in crop and livestock production, was noted in a New York Times article by Stephanie Strom, entitled "Misgivings About How a Weed Killer Affects the Soil".
The article appeared in the Friday, Sept. 20 issue of the Business Day section in the New York Times reporting on the controversy surrounding the use of the weed killer, Roundup, produced by Monsanto and the genetically modified organisms (GMO) seeds used to produce crops resistant to the effects of glyphosate, the active ingredient in Round Up. With the GMO /non-GMO debate heating up over the past few years and more states voting on whether or not to mandate the labeling foods as GMO or non-GMO in the next few months, the article offered a history of GMO food production, the effects of glyphosate on the soil and what farmers feel about what they have seen in their fields. One picture in the article showed two corn plants exhibiting major differences in the root systems with the caption "The roots appear healthier on the conventionally raised plant." Verity Corp was mentioned a number of times throughout the article and the accompanying pictures.
There is a growing realization by many farmers that the demand for non-GMO food will be increasing. Since Whole Foods announced earlier this year that the company would require all its suppliers to label their food products GMO or non-GMO, it has become increasingly clear that the demand for non-GMO food will necessitate more suppliers to transition back to non-GMO food production to meet that demand.
Verity Corp is committed to assisting farmers in that transition. Through Verity's proprietary program, Verity offers practical solutions in helping to reduce the dependency on chemicals such as fertilizers, herbicides and pesticides and using conventional seeds to rebuild the health of the soil. The company's three facilities in Sioux Falls, SD, Garden City, IA, and Pelham, GA currently work with farms in Alabama, Georgia, Iowa, Florida, Mississippi, North Dakota, Ohio, and South Dakota.

This was posted on another iHub stock I have on my watch list.
What is the reason for this "panic"?
This is going to be a long reply,
Here is my tale of woe!
This all takes place towards the end of my adventures in world of small cap investor relations and is big part of the reason I left it behind. I had enough of the lies and scams and tried to find a real, honest and legitimate company that I could do a serious IR (investor relations) campaign for. There were plenty of legitimate small cap companies the just wanted some honest IR services and I was trying to cater to this market.
One fine morning I was contacted by some big shareholder in a company that seemed to be very interesting, and legitimate!
The company in question had a nice product, it was a telescopic pole that you attach a camera to. The camera could be infrared or thermal and you would use it to look around corners, underneath cars, all kinds of situations where police and border patrol would need to see things.
I called up the secretary and made an appointment to meet them the following week.
The offices were in a nice building and had the entire floor to themselves. The secretary was young and pretty, she welcomed me and directed me to the fancy board room.
It was a small company, about 5-8 employees I believe, the CEO and one of the engineers met with me and we hit it off pretty well.
They were very nice people and were excited to show me their product.
It was a very nice gizmo, you wear this vest with the LCD screen facing up at you on your chest so you can hold the extendable poll with the camera with two hands. The camera had a very cool infrared mode and a thermal camera was in the works they said.
The CEO explained that US and Canadian border guards were being introduced to this product and that if they get a contract to supply them, it would be in the millions!
For a penny stock like them a big multimillion dollar deal would have sent them +1000% easily.
This all sounded great! Actual physical offices, an actual product I was very interested in working with them so we agreed to take them on as a client.
My job was to put together a nice PDF presentation on the company that potential investors could download. I got to work using all the notes from our meeting and pictures I had taken of me meeting the CEO and testing out their camera.
This was all completely legit, the company was legit, the product was real and legit and had a very real and practical use for the border police and SWAT teams.
What could possible go wrong?
The company had already made their contacts with the US and Canadian border police that were eager to see this camera unit and test it in the field, it was simply a matter of landing a contract, any contract with any government body, that would open the doors to huge sales.
I was proud to put my name to the research report and laid out the facts as best as I could. This was after all, a completely binary event. Either a) the company gets a huge government contract and everybody makes money, or b) no contract comes through and its down the tubes. These were the risks and everybody involved knew it.
What we all failed to realize was that there was an actual option "c".
Fast forward a few weeks and the stock is starting to climb, there had been no news about any contracts, but it seems some investors were loading up ahead any possible news (buy the rumor, sell the news). If there was a contract coming, then somebody on the inside could have leaked the news to their friends, but after asking the CEO if there was a leak on any potential news, he insisted he had no idea and there was no word about any contracts coming through.
There were several other IR firms working the stock, so it is possible their efforts were bringing in buyers.
Then one morning, I get up, turn on the computer and see that their stock is down 60% !!! :O
What had happened? Did a contract fall through? Was the camera rejected?
It turns out that the CEO, the engineers, the IR firms and everybody got side swiped by the companies largest shareholder which was a guy that owned the original public shell they reverse merged into.
If you watched the movie The Social Network (the Facebook movie), you would remember how they restructured the shares so that Zuckerberg retained the majority but his other partners were squeezed out?
What happened here is that behind everybodys back, the original shell owner pulled a restructuring and began dumping millions of shares onto the market.
Day after day, millions of share kept hitting the bid and the stock dropped down to 3c, 2c, 1c and lower.
With their shares knocked down to worthless, the company could not afford to raise any capital and fund further R&D. The mere act of knocking their shares down could have spooked the government agencies away from making a deal since they did not want to be involved with a company like that. No deals were coming, it was all over.
The only person who walked away with anything was this one big shareholder. I would later learn that he would do this two or three times a year with different companies every time. Each time he would make a few million dollars.
The company would delist, the public shell would restructure, get a ticker change and the next company would get sucked in. This was all perfectly legal, apparently he had been doing this for years.
A few months later I drove past their offices, I could see through the dusty windows that the office space they once occupied was empty. It was sad to see a little company with such potential get wiped out by some unscrupulous shell scam.
This story just goes to show that no matter how legitimate the company may be, or how good the fundamentals are, there is always something that can change the entire story in a matter of minutes.
These days, when somebody asks me "what do you think of penny stock WXYZ? The last Q1 filings were pretty good!" I just say its a scam, they are all scams. Treat them as such and you will not be disappointed.
So to answer the original question:
Do you have any idea how the process goes about? Are people really this easy to fool?
Yes, people are easy to fool, everybody got fooled in this case. No matter how savvy or experienced you think you are, when it comes to penny stocks, there will always be a larger fish with sharper teeth in your pond. The problem with low volume penny stocks is that no matter how much you think you may know about the company, at any point in time some big shareholder can dump his shares and send the stock into a death spiral.
well, Billy is...but I do not know about Alan....he's lied on various occasions.
Imiloa, I also remain to keep watch to see if return point presents itself. At this time I hold little hope. RandyK
(( admin: please delete. accidental double post ))
norpikefisher, i think OPHI mgmt (Alan & Billy) just played their hand poorly.
they said from the start they were new public company mgmt.
and a few months later, they were in bed with toxic funding, despite strong warnings against it from many on this board.
sad, as it did have so much potential in those early days.
i wish they had diluted the stock instead of taking the toxic funding.
there still might be a happy ending here, assuming kenactiv isn't the scam it smells like currently.
but no way to know that until the company PRs something.
anything!
i'm still watching, but am losing interest with each passing month of silence.
I am going to give company the benefit of doubt right now--to sell out now on my part would be my greatest loss on a single stock to date. I have many others that are doing just fine-making me money. due to this one I have curbed my buying and missing quite a few other opportunities. Guess this is a good reason to stay out of OTC! a few years ago I was one of the few lucky ones on that scam SAE* --bought around .005 sold in the .80's. someone obviously does not like this one though!
norpikefisher, i haven't tried to communicate with the company since my calls to them last spring.
as posted, i cashed out and took my cap gains loss in the $1 range.
have been watching for a reason to buy back in,
but that would start with the company issuing a confirmation of life signal.
this isn't the company we owned in spring 2012.
the one with a tiny OS and innovative products.
back before the toxic debt spiral,
and then the buyout by a mysterious company,
which doesn't even deign to file a 10-K detailing their business model and current finances.
Tell them at OPHI they should check to see if they can do a joint venture with Verity (VRTY). They might be able to help each other out.
Imiloa-- have you had any un-read or returned emails also from Kenaf? Just hate all the silence!
CSJ, please let us know if you do visit Billy and Alan.
seems a fine time to look them square in the eye and see how they respond to some tough questions.
as posted, i took my tax loss on this a while back.
still watching for a sign of life, but finding less ground for hope that longer they lumber on without updating shareholders.
fwiw, from the bid/ask pattern, looks like folks are angling for shares, eg: 0.341, 0.3411, 0.3412 bid progression. but the spread is double the bid at that level.

Main office in Monroe, Billy and Alan are still there.
Products were good. Clueless, Where are you going to drive to. The store/manufacturing closed the first week in April. It was here on a couple of post.
Products worked well......no complaints. I really need to drive down and see whats going on.
Still here...
Not that it matters though, but holding all.
Seems like just you and me left here! Did you say a while back that you tried the products? how did they work? It's not available up here in cheesehead land.
Only one seller and then the offer is $1.00+
600 shares? Still holding all of mine--getting more worried each passing day -with no replies from Kenactive- way tooooooo quiet! shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh : )
Good board for discussing Sustainability. Not specific to any company, but has alot of info.
http://investorshub.advfn.com/~SUSTAINABLE-LIVING-FOR-CHALLENGING-TIMES-9881/
It took a long time but finally some people in this one are waking up and seeing the scam this has been since AMS*.
I feel the same people have been involved all along.
I was in and got out with little losses before the crushing split/scam buyout - been watching forever and only one person here that I can recall claims to have made $ on this one.
Be real careful in this one....MHO.
Agreed blinkers88. All of us have been waiting and waiting for who knows how long most since the AMSZ days. look where waiting has gotten everyone. Straight to the bottom.
People don't have decades to wait...
OPHI needs to spend some time on kicking in there PR campaign. Not just news, but videos like this one.
OPHI has a good name, but shareholders can get discouraged when they feel like they are one of just a very few that appreciates what the company is doing and how it is doing. jmo
Patience..........
V-6 -- I have not heard back either--feel we have been bent over! I did send another more blatant e-mail--probably won't get a response from that either! will post if I do!
norpikefiser....IMAGINE THAT....OUT OF BUSINESS, I GUESS. IMHO
No company would NOT RETURN phone calls, if they were still in business. IMHO.
I hope you are wrong. I am starting to believe you and v-6 are correct. the silence in this case is not golden. I was a very strong believer in Billy and Alan's plans--I will still give the benefit of doubt for right now--still down over 13K -oh well it was all gambling money anyways. why get rid of whats left after our reverse merge. Maybe--BIG MAYBE--some un-forseen chance we may come back to levels that may get us even again. GLTU
We've all been bent over, and given to dry. Nice playing Billy and Alan.
Just a follow up folks-- I have still heard nothing from e-mail Friday. : (
I have to agree with V-6 also. Yea I believe the non-GMO is going to be hot. But I also bought into the OPrganics is going to be hot. Which it is but all ion all we all can see where all the organics got us. Real company....real product..... But look at where they are now. We all lost our rear ends on that. Same thing coming with non-gmos with this company IMHO
still holding onto the last pipe! I sure hope v-6 is wrong. But the info coming out since the merge has been way too scarce, we as investors do need to know.
Well written.
Although, I have a bad feeling VVVVVV is right... This has turned out to be a most devastating waste of time and money on my behalf.
I have sent email to Kenactive this am to see if I can get any response?
Good morning. I am a long time investor In Organic Plant Health/kenaf. I would like to know if the company could put out some form of communication to investors to let them know-company is well and doing fine- I am already a little worried that the OTC-Qb has OPHI on a yield sign right now-this is detouring other investors of coming into the stock right now. Also I have noticed on message boards –ie: investorshub –there are some commenting they are not getting answers from IR—after several emails/phone calls –so they believe the company is out of business. I personally feel some kind of communication could be beneficial to the company and present share holders.
I am not going to get into day to day business-I just feel we need some updates from company. Thank you for your time.
The doors have been shut...
IMHO when the freaking investor relations man doesn't return eight calls. You know they're going out of business...This speaks for it's self. Keep dreaming....when the spokesman for the company doesn't speak, it answers all the question it needs to.
This company is apparently not doing enough business to mention.
I like the space OPHI is in, but the shares keep on going up--the outstanding. And no real revenues. Got into VRTY--just reported financials and they did over $1 million last quarter. More wholesale than retail in the farming sector. Non- GMO is going to be hot.
Its there........
Do you actually believe this company is still in business? Come now. After countless calls to investment relations, and no response, what else would you think? IMHO
Cluesless are you meaning trainwreck lol. I'm finally totally out here. Got in back in the old amsz days. Looked so good way back when now its just sad.
Shhhhhh if you listen sounds like a train is coming ;)
I don't know, but GROWING potatoes might be a good idea. We know there is a market for that. JMHO
The noise is just deafining here! Come on Kenactiv-give us some meat and potatoes.

About Us:
In late 2005, Billy Styles and Alan Talbert were discussing the benefits of organic-based plant care products and how individuals and
Greens-Industry professionals would benefit greatly if only the products were more widely available. Homeowners, landscapers, and
other companies expressed a great deal of interest in the products, but hadn't converted to organic programs due to limited availability
or because they simply didn't have a full understanding of the products, and didn't have anywhere to turn for reliable information.
At that time, professional grade, organic-based landscape care products were only available, if at all, when purchased in large quantities and
high minimum orders. Understanding the challenge before them, they began working to develop a line of organic-based care products
specifically designed with the homeowner, landscaper, and other Greens-Industry professionals in mind. They also began creating partnerships with
manufacturers, suppliers, and other companies and individuals to provide high quality, organic-based products to the public at a reasonable cost.
Fast forward almost two years and say hello to Organic Plant Health - the result of a vision fueled by the passion of Billy Styles, Alan Talbert,
Matthew Styles, and a few other trusted associates. Organic Plant Health now provides a large array of products for use by homeowners,
landscapers, golf course superintendents, and other individuals and companies associated with the Greens Industry. Our products promote
healthy soil, reduce the need for watering, and promote a healthier environment and healthier plants, regardless of the growing environment.
To understand the true benefits of organic-based care, it's important to first consider the alternatives. Many products offered by the mainstream
Greens Industry are salt-based, synthetic formulas that promote dehydration in the soil which leads to soil compaction and plant decline.
In the American landscape, we take plants out of their natural settings and plant them in an urban setting for our pleasure and enjoyment.
We irrigate and water them continually just to keep them alive. In an attempt to keep the illusion of natural beauty, we fertilize with salt-based
synthetic formulas that promote a quick color response without regard to soil health or plant stress. In addition, synthetics weaken plant life
and make them more prone to stress and disease. Increased soluble salt levels in the soil accumulate and become toxic over time, and eventually
drive out or kill all beneficial microorganisms.
In contrast, products from Organic Plant Health provide high amounts of organic matter that promote microbial activity in the soil. This improves
air/water/nutrient exchange, deeper root systems, and more efficient nutrient uptake by the plant. Organic matter and biological activity in the soil
also contribute to disease suppression and better drought tolerance. Ultimately, organic-based care programs can reduce watering needs by up to 75%.
They also are safe for children and pets, and promote a healthier environment.
