UK, I don't believe that's the reason. I believe it has to do with Elon Musk ego and his ongoing feud with the Sate of California.
Quote "He moved Tesla's corporate headquarters from Palo Alto in California to the Texas city of Austin in 2021 after criticising California's regulations and taxes." Link https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2024/feb/01/elon-musk-acts-to-move-tesla-legal-base-to-texas-after-pay-package-ruling
And quote: "Musk said that California's push for hydrogen 'makes no sense' after the California Transport Commission awarded a $41.9 million grant to Nikola Corp." Link https://hydrogen-central.com/teslas-elon-musk-calls-governments-hydrogen-funding-idiotic-bizarre-amid-ev-truck-triumph/
Finally, although large fleets get smaller incentives/subsidies compared to small fleets, they are nevertheless still quite significant.
I think he did it to demonstrate that the R/s really is about listing and marketability of shares and not about dilution.
I wonder why Girsky bought stock now instead of wainting until after the RS, you would think he would do it then to help support the stock. Could it be he thinks the RS may not happen and buying stock ahead of the decision?
The Tesla video you shared I think explains this - only 4 customers all large retailers not the small drayage fleets that HVIP is targeted at.
that video makes you believe they are the only company with electric class 8!
Nikola had 200 in the field before the recall and probably now have 100+ FCEV and 100+ BEV back in the field.
The RS is just over hanging this stock!! The CEO buys one million shares on the open market and they announce an order for 100 trucks and we are up a whopping $0.03. PATHETIC!!!
As a follow up to my previous post, equally puzzling is the fact that Tesla is still not listed in the California HVIP voucher database. Link https://californiahvip.org/impact/#deployed-vehicle-mapping-tool
Cabel, I don't know, but I'm puzzled by Tesla's arrogant "We Know Best" attitude, designing a brand new BEV truck without asking for input from truck drivers. However, they have a huge advantage compared to Nikola, with mega factories being able to produce much larger number of trucks, and thus sell them at significantly lower prices.
I can't imagine Tesla succeeding with their class 8 design!

not a horrible memory
AiLO, a newly rebranded company combining other corporations, including MDB Transportation, had previously ordered 50 Nikola FCEVs from Tom's Truck Centers. Deliveries from that original order have commenced and are ongoing throughout 2024.
Nice to see it this morning that it WAS TRUE,... Nice to see Girsky buying shares as well.
Hopefully with the RS decision coming soon, we can turn the corner!
Glad they formally announced this and it clarifies the fact that this is in addition to the 50 they have already ordered and are receiving.
50 in 2024, 100 in 2025
Did Girsky buy a million shares of stock today at $0.054?
I have seen MDB elsewhere - re H or electric or ?
Have they - under either name - ordered from NKLA before ?
seems AILO is a rebrand of MDB
http://ailologistics.com/
limited info on the website but only NIkola Tre FCEV shown...
If true, I don't think we will hear it from Nikola!
No sure but the posts look valid,... We have to wait i guess.
Cabel, thank you! Are we sure this news is true?
Honestly - Bluntly - I will skip seminars
What excites me in 2024 is to see Honda Toyota Volvo and ? and ? all working with H (and it also excites me to see them all behind NKLA in actual vehicles on the road)
if NKLA was alone with H as a way to power transportation it would be 1000x scarier ---- than after seeing 5 biggies or whatever show they too consider H a viable alternate source of poser for EV ---or at least worthy of big $ investing and prototyping)
Message from David Wenger, Mission Hydrogen GmbH.
Happy Sunday everyone!
Germany has broken a new record in solar electricity generation this week. 51.2 GW, on Wednesday at 1pm.
Wow. I was taught at university that “PV is good, but it’s never going to happen. It’s too expensive, and it always will be.” That was 20-something years ago.
Things are changing rapidly.
Will hydrogen be a part of the energy transition? Maybe no. Probably yes.
The best way to predict the future is to create it.
And if you want to develop or sell products to the hydrogen industry, you need knowledge and real life experience.
So here’s what I have to offer for free:
1. Webinar with the Alberta Motor Transportation Association on their “Real Life Experience with Fuel Cell Trucks” in the Canadian winter: www.mission-hydrogen.com
2. Webinar with Draeger on the “Hydrogen Safety in FCEV Workshops” (you can use that knowledge for any kind of hydrogen workshop, repair center, bus yard or truck stop): www.mission-hydrogen.com
3. Hydrogen Online Workshop 2024: 24 hours, 50+ keynotes, panel discussions and expert sessions with some of the best hydrogen experts in the world: www.hydrogen-online-workshop.com/program (there’s a - unfortunately small – “Add to Calendar” icon next to every presentation that converts the time zones automatically)
4. Webinar on “Best of Hydrogen Online Workshop 2024” where I will share a summary of the 24 hours with you and answer all kinds of hydrogen related questions: www.mission-hydrogen.com
5. Webinar on “Hydrogen in the UK” with different speakers to give you an overview of the hydrogen activities mainly in England and Scotland. This webinar is not open for registration yet, but you can mark the 19th of June in your calendar.
6. Webinar with Parker on “Water Treatment for Electrolyzers”: www.mission-hydrogen.com
7. Webinar with Toyota on “The Toyota Hydrogen Strategy for Heavy Duty”: www.mission-hydrogen.com
I want you to take 3 minutes of your valuable time and sign up. It’s free, and there is no catch.
If you think that one of the events is valuable for one of your friends or colleagues, please forward this email. It just takes you 5 seconds, but it might change a lot.
Thank you for your time, and have a nice rest of your Sunday.

Thank you both
yet - the total sitting there remains a future that we should have some 90% faith in ?
DNU, as UK pointed out, the Redeemed voucher portion of the HVIP database is very suspect, we don't believe is accurate, it doesn't make sense.

In any event June 4th can't come soon enough!
if anyone is doing any manipulating with the PPS --- they are holding it up (IMO) not pushing it down (IMO)
if one believes management will get the votes for R/S
then be it 10 to 1 or 20 to 1 or 30 to 1 ----- it is the about current price that is then changed and then will fall say 10% or ? --- just because weak stocks that do R/S always get kicked down in the early days
SO - if one believes that - ---- some conversion around this price is coming - and 10-20 percent early kick down ---- then WHY BUY? I can think of no reason to buy now . (Maybe if management has some HUGE news to let out the day or the RS -- like ABC company just ordered 100 Fuel Cell Trucks --- then the PPS post R/S will hold. But the odds are seriously in favor of a fall of 10-20 percent from WHATEVER - so why not wait?). Not selling one share. May gamble another $5,000 on good news but for now - I watch and watch but expect nothing . The articles about Honda and Hyundai and Toyota --- all about H transportation - to me all scream that NKLA will be a buy - after the R/S
If your not convinced by now that there will be a 1-30 RS just look at the trading in the stock over the last two weeks. They have somehow kept it in the $0.50-$0.60 range to justify a 1-30 RS.
so this was the official opening of the True Zero (a First Element Fuel Brand) station that actually was opened for use a few weeks ago.
(Now there is also a HYLA station or two in the POLB area)
nice promotion for Hyundai trucks but we all know there are more Nikola FCEV out there than a) TSLA BEV trucks and b) any other FCEV supplier/. probably now c 120 Nikola Tre FCEV.
Algorithm over heating on MSN
And - NKLA is involved ? it is mentioned in this article - as it should about H fuel - stations and 8 trucks
True Zero, a FirstElement Fuel brand. companies ?

Is volvo building H (as I understand it VOLVO is ONLY trucks and construction stuff - cars sold away)
see below --- ? from some VOLVO dude
Sustainability is at the forefront of every decision that Volvo Trucks makes,” said Volvo Trucks Public Relations Manager, Kyle Zimmerman. “Volvo Trucks sees Battery Electric as one critical path towards decarbonizing transportation [...] We remain committed to the three-pillar strategy of BEV, FCEV, and ICE all working together to decarbonize transportation across different duty cycles and applications”
One company, Golden State Foods of Irvine, California, has found a solution for its Quality Custom Distribution (QCD) division with Volvo Trucks North America’s first-ever Class 8 EV, the VNR Electric.
here is the link re VOLVO battery
but the dude from GSF - QCD --- then talks about H fuel cell and even ICE with H in the article
hhmm - algorithms send me transportation climate type stuff - but it seems to be more and more

Why do you think no one has redeemed in 24 ?
UK, good point, agree. Doesn't make sense.
For those who understand === a ton of information on weight - distance - KwH - etc. Interestingly one of the companies argues that the savings on "gas" over 2.5 years (I think) will make the truck cost comparable with a regular diesel truck etc.
hope it works as it is not a direct link
https://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/news/electric-tesla-semi-vs-new-mercedes-eactros-600-how-do-these-ev-trucks-stack-up/ar-BB1mt0BX?ocid=msedgntp&pc=LCTS&cvid=67f7c8fbcd5f422fb90019e36e3c15b9&ei=16
Still not confident in the tool - it isnt showing any redeemed vouchers for 2024. (11 BEV 29 FCEV in 2023).
I would have expected by now some Q1 deliveries would have been redeemed by their respective dealers
The California HVIP Voucher data has finally been updated to the end of April 2024. The total Unredeemed vouchers for Nikola were 94 for BEV trucks, and 323 for hydrogen FCEV trucks, corresponding to total funding of $131 million. The second snapshot shows 8 vouchers for BEV trucks were added in 2024, while 24 vouchers for hydrogen FCEV trucks were added. Filtering for Redeemed vouchers in 2024, indicates that no vouchers have been redeemed in 2024, as of the end of April. Link https://californiahvip.org/impact/#deployed-vehicle-mapping-tool
From the Web
Honda Motor plans to invest tens of billions of dollars on its electric-vehicle strategy through 2030 as part of efforts to boost sales and production in the coming years. The Japanese automaker said Thursday that it aims to invest about 10 trillion yen ($64.56 billion) on its electric-vehicle and software strategy over the 10-year period through 2030.
Honda said it plans for EVs, including fuel-cell vehicles powered by hydrogen, t to make up 40% of its global auto sales by 2030. (I love that there is more H and more H and more H - for now it is validation and infrastructure - at some point in TRUCKS it will be competition but that is years away. Proof of Concept - if I am using it right - is key now and this is BIG
WTM, thank you for your reply!
CM, those are not Class 8 trucks, Plug Power will buy 75 hydrogen FCEV Class 8 trucks from Nikola.
Nikola and Plug Announce Strategic Collaboration to Push Hydrogen Economy Forward
Published December 15, 2022
https://nikolamotor.com/nikola-and-plug-announce-strategic-collaboration-to-push-hydrogen-economy-forward-216
Plug to purchase up to 75 Nikola Tre hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles for green hydrogen delivery
Nikola to purchase 30 metric-tons per day liquefaction system from Plug for the Ariz. hydrogen hub project
Companies have signed an innovative Green Hydrogen Supply Agreement with synergies for both Nikola and Plug’s business models
cool
it does seem -if for some reason (not clear to me) NKLA wants to move to Class 6 or ?- it may benefit from the flexibility in the PLUG approach as well as "looking at how others used it"
for now - I assume 100% of NKLA production capacity (factory and people) is on the Class 8 FCEV (and for a quarter or so - finishing the replacement return of BEV)
?
yes Bosch provides the integrated fuel cell, if you compare it to PLUG ProGen system it is very, very different and obviously made for a specific system with space and power in mind. PLUgs engine is more generic and can be integrated into a number of mobility solutions, HYVIA have already had 2 iterations of where the components go (in the roof, under the drivers seat etc) , BAE Systems have integrated it into buses and may be trains and now there is the Class 6 truck for last mile delivery.
Nikola’s solution and partnership with Bosch is geared for the demand of trucking and now integrated into their electronics as well as paired with the electric drive train used.
ADD my thanks
Plug missed out on supplying ... fuel cell ...
Does this now come from BOSCH?
