Well the problem is they don't have any actual deals with anyone. Can you imagine, tens of thousands of beacons in malls across the country, and all they can do its advertise "Deadpool"? What the hell are they doing this for?
Unless they're shorting their own stock.
I get it, marketing tool for Malls and shopping stores.
But what do they say about the future competition of Amazon and online shopping? The fact that people are moving away from shopping at brick and mortar stores? Wouldn't this software be obsolete 15 or 20 years from now? I just don't see the growth. The online companies can send known customers emails with current promotions. Problem solved.
Somebody's dumping shares, obviously. Stock don't just go down randomly, especially bulletin board stocks. You see this kind of chart and you know it's financiers selling, along with some disillusioned investors.
This appears to be a legitimate company, but like any startup they need financing. To make money as a trader, you have to be able to figure out/time when financing selling will pause at the time when they have some genuinely juicy PRs to put out, and then pull out yourself before they dump en masse.
Right now they're just putting beacons into malls and have maybe 2 deals to put out any coupons or stuff like that. It's gonna take some time to get this off the ground.
GARDEN CITY, N.Y., March 17, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Mobiquity Networks, the largest network of retail mall-based mobile advertising beacons in the United States and a wholly owned subsidiary of Mobiquity Technologies, Inc. (MOBQ), today announced its highly specialized mobile advertising network offering – the Mobiquity Entertainment Network. The Mobiquity Entertainment Network provides an entirely new avenue for movie studios and entertainment companies to engage with fans via mobile, linking digital screens to offline activity.
The Mobiquity Entertainment Network leverages the precise location awareness enabled by beacon technology to trigger entertainment and movie fan app engagement and to accurately account for advertising campaign attribution. Both the beacon network and ad campaigns are managed by Mobiquity’s proprietary proximity marketing platform, and app engagements are executed through Mobiquity Networks’ mobile app publisher network, which includes movie-fan apps such as Moviefone and Movietickets.com.
Built specifically for the entertainment industry, the Mobiquity Entertainment Network enables direct engagement with a known movie-goer community. Theater owners are able to utilize the network to improve and expand the in-theater experience. The network also allows in-theater advertising partners, such as Screenvision, to extend their captive audience engagement beyond the big screen and into retail environments.
Mobiquity Networks has assembled all the critical ecosystem components necessary to make beacon-triggered marketing and advertising campaigns go mainstream: a nationally installed beacon network in retail malls and theater environments; a 3rd party app publisher network to deliver campaigns; and the platform to manage the network, data and campaign execution.
Relevant locations are key. There are nearly 2,300 theaters (~45% of total U.S. Theaters) within a 10-mile radius of the 475 premium malls currently partnered with Mobiquity Networks. In the next few months, beacons are scheduled to be deployed in 300 theaters with more than 2,500 screens. The reach of the network is critical as well - coverage extends to more than 130 designated markets that represent roughly 89% of US households.
Studio research has indicated that the average mall shopper is up to 5x as likely to be an active movie-goer than a non-mall shopper. The average age of a mall shopper is 36, while the average age of a broadcast TV viewer is 57, a generational difference. The audience delivered by the Mobiquity Network represents one of the most highly targeted media opportunities to reach America’s active movie-goers.
“Demographically, movie theaters are highly complementary to Mobiquity Networks’ existing retail mall network and we are excited to expand our footprint in the entertainment sector. We are breaking new ground and creating a new and effective way for movie studios and entertainment companies to reach their biggest fans on a national level via mobile,” said Tom Arnost, Executive Chairman of Mobiquity Networks. “This offering delivers a highly targeted audience for the industry. The 2,284 theaters in our footprint should represent as much as 80% of the total U.S. box office of $11 Billion. Reaching this audience creates the potential for significant incremental revenue for us.”
Tom Arnost will be heading up the Mobiquity Entertainment Network and leading strategic initiatives for the media-industry focused network. “The Mobiquity Entertainment Network was created through the vision of Mr. Arnost and we’re quite fortunate to have a media executive with 35-years of success in the industry to bring this network offering to market,” stated Dean Julia, Mobiquity Networks’ co-CEO. “His extensive relationships and industry experience will ensure that we deliver unique value to our media clients.”
Mobiquity Networks has exclusive agreements in 475+ premier shopping malls and 300 movie theaters in the U.S to operate its beacon-triggered mobile ad network. The ad network footprint represents ~400 million monthly mall visits and provides advertisers with the opportunity to deliver targeted marketing messages to consumers at precisely the right place and time - just as they are deciding which retailers to visit and what brands to buy – and now what movies to see.
Something is definitely happening here!!! Volume is already ~4 times the daily average!!! I'm loading on the ask... This app is going to be HUGE, especially during high volume sales seasons such as "back to school" and Christmas. That gives me 5-9 months to grab a few million shares. Better read the PRs and grab a few!!!
This looks like great news!
The Coupons App® Joins Mobiquity Networks’ Third-Party Publisher Network for Advertisers
Improves Deal Relevance for More Than 10 Million Users
GARDEN CITY, N.Y., March 03, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Mobiquity Networks, the largest network of retail mall-based mobile advertising beacons in the United States and a wholly owned subsidiary of Mobiquity Technologies, Inc. (OTCQB:MOBQ), announced today that it has partnered with The Coupons App® to deliver beacon-triggered promotions to consumers’ mobile phones.
A widely cited study by Retale indicates that 84% of millennial shoppers respond to push notifications, and 61% are interested in promotion offers that can be redeemed immediately – two capabilities enabled by this partnership between Mobiquity Networks and The Coupons App®. By 2020, beacons will be used to distribute 1.6 billion coupons, according to Juniper Research.
Mobiquity Networks has cultivated a massive network of mobile app advertising publishers, including The Coupons App®, who embed Mobiquity Networks’ beaconing software into their apps to enable those apps to respond to beacon signals strategically placed in shopping malls, retail stores, and movie theaters. That publisher network has the potential to influence 400 million shopping visits each month representing more than $41 billion in retail spending. Today’s announced partnership allows The Coupons App® to deliver more timely, personalized and contextually relevant deals to its 10 million users while shopping in any one of 475+ malls nationwide that are equipped with beacons owned and managed by Mobiquity Networks.
The Coupons App® has already formed an extensive mobile shopping community by providing users with deals and coupons from more than 100,000 retailers. Their mobile phone app includes exclusive offers and local deals, and now provides alerts when users are within proximity of their favorite stores and restaurants where the promotions can be redeemed.
“Since 2008, The Coupons App® has been the industry-leading mobile coupon app that consumers dependably rely upon to connect with real-time deals at their favorite retailers, restaurants and brands. Our users win when we provide them with the most timely and relevant offers available,” explains, Aaron Rzadczynski, CEO of The Coupons App®. “This agreement enables our loyal users to enjoy valuable, exclusive, highly contextualized, location-based and personally relevant coupon alerts from their favorite retailers, brands and restaurants when they are actively shopping in any of the malls in Mobiquity Networks’ industry-leading network. This agreement allows us to provide retailers access to a massive base of mobile consumers who are already in that purchase mindset.”
“We’ve built an incredible network footprint in exclusive retail and entertainment venues that is uniquely positioned to deliver timely and valuable location signals and contextual data to our application partners. Together, we can enrich the mall shopping experience with relevant and timely offers at the most critical moment - while the mobile user is actively shopping,” stated Sean Trepeta, President of Mobiquity Networks, “The Coupons App® has a large and engaged user base, which makes them a perfect addition to our publisher network. The partnership delivers on our network mission – create a more valuable user experience and deliver an effective new mobile channel for retail and brand advertisers.”

A little heart flutter today. :)
Still nothing from MOBQ.
Actually the stock runs from the low 20s to a ceiling of .40.... all on no news.
This board is line watching paint dry. Stock trades in the same range every day on light volume.
I am the last 3 posts on this board. How about some conversation.
Time to say goodnight Gracie.
Time to say goodnight Gracie.
I bought 10,000 shares of this POS. It is a yo-yo, lows in the 20s, highs in the 30s.
http://biz.yahoo.com/e/150318/mobq8-k_a.html
So the question is, did Mobq raise the money?
I like this part re the President:
..For calendar 2015, he will be entitled to a bonus of $125,000 upon revenues of Mobiquity Networks achieving a minimum of $6 million in revenues and a further bonus of $125,000 for a total of $250,000 at such time as Mobiquity Network's revenues achieve a minimum of $12 million, it being understood that any revenues which do not have a 30% margin shall not count toward these totals.
Professor T - if you don't mind can you shoot me an e-mail at ihub.ccdude@gmail.com? I wanted to bounce something off you regarding our other favorite stock. Just don't want to post anything on that board (at this time). Thanks.

MOBQ pincher set up backed by serious accumulation...EASY .49 cents
great post tedpeele... all sound and excellent points. Its a stock looking for a much bigger home if I am reading you correctly.
True profitability will come only if consumers engage. What I see as quite possible though is RetailMeNot showing an interest in buying them, as it fits it perfectly with their business model. And, they have a lot of cash (over $200 million). Spindle, which owns Yowza is trying to expand the beacons into the general community, which has promise--maybe even more than malls IMO because of the mobility/impulse factor and beacons not draining batteries on mobile devices like gps satellite does. We see that Mobiquity is doing the same with the college campus approach and it would not surprise me if they are also eying any business as a potential beacon user, in hopes of creating an entire local business ecosystem for savings and consumer engagement.
Another development in the field is LocalSaver, owned by Datasphere, teaming up with Valpak in the last few months, as well as with 8coupons.com. Valpak and Moneymailer are the main local direct mail biz coupon companies and the rest are individually owned. LocalSaver is the main online for local biz. Partnerships here will definitely be interested in beacon technology.
I know this because my own biz is right smack in the middle of all of this stuff.
Despite my doubts about mall adoption profitability, I've been buying MOBQ due to the likelihood of an acquisition over the next year or so at a much higher price, combined with the exciting stuff they have just started to roll out.
Just keep buying a bit here and bit there.. beginning to add up in the old portfolio... cant wait to see this wake up and take off... just need a few more and then its free to go.
I am sure you will... and with a lot of cash as well.
Much like investing in our other in common company - patience is a virtue!
I hope to graduate from Professor T's economics class with honors - in both classes.
I have no issue with it...since its only a request to allow it to happen...its not a request to grant one. They also state its for the ability to move to the higher exchange.
You have to look at it as a positive, because going to either the NYSE or the NASDQ would indicate they are ready for this to commence in a full operations mode. I am sure if done and they move they will have plenty of news to release to ensure they can maintain an excellent standing on either board.
I see it as a positive indicator that things are moving forward nicely for them as well as for all shareholders.
Sorry ccdude for the delay... this one is a tricky one... its going to happen like that for a while as they get this built and dispersed around the country a bit more. I am still very confident in this being close to a dollar towards the end of the year or sometime during the first Q.
As I said when we all got in...its a buy and hold and to be patient, but these prices are a gift.. and one of the risk/rewards is that it can take off on a moments notice...if there even is a notice...just might go BOOOOOOM when you least expect it.
I like it something needs to get this stock moving
Has anyone contacted management lately to get updates? If so, it would be appreciated if you post. Thanks!
What does everyone think about the reverse split being voted on at the shareholders meeting?
I've never invested in a company/stock where "Volume: 0" is a day long update. If the volume indicator were an old fashioned gasoline gauge I'd be tapping it to see if the needle would move.
Professor T - if you're out there, any thoughts on the volume flatlining?
Did anyone else notice that the some officers and directors increased their shares from the Prospectus to the 10-K? I did not see a Form 4 filed for this so I am wondering when these were acquired and at what price. Does anyone have any info here? Hopefully we hear something soon. There is plenty of news circling about beacons so hoping this company can grab some of the market.

I'm just waiting for a bounce to get out I cant take the 500 share trades anymore, and info has gone dead
Oversold at this point...check the charts this stock always bounces back from these low levels. In my opinion, good buying opportunity to gather cheap shares. In 2014, the company already doubled their position in the beacon market and now moved into colleges. I believe that colleges represent an ideal market for this technology. Been following this company for a while now and they seem to be in the best shape of their existence yet the stock price doesn't reflect this. Hopefully we hear something from management soon. Show some confidence management and buy shares at this level!
yes I agree there are limit for a same company and that's why I think apple is a good choice they like to buy everything good or bad
yes, I tend to agree with you, but it doesn't answer my questions. I think there is a real limit to how much people really want to engage with this kind of thing when they are at the mall joy-shopping. But, there will be some engagement, and i am curious as to how much it will be and how profitable it can be.
I think they are looking at a buy out JMO. apple comes to mind they use airdrop they would love to have the malls and I think someone on the board worked for apple at one time
