Sounds like a plan.
A Limit-Sell-GTC at your desired exit might work if some PR effort provide the impetus. It's basically a good company for a LT Hold, IMHO also - so I don't see a downside.
There are a lot worse places you could park some money.

I've got an order in for 33000 more shares for tomorrow. I've got 61805 so far. I don't usually go long term, but have one of those feelings on masg. I was just curious on how much faith you had in the company. I read that Traders Nation is going to do an interview on masg, just recently. I'm hoping it starts to take off. I was shooting for 100000 shares, but going back to swing trading, Long term is boring, but I think masg is going to be hot! I just don't know how long its going to take. Take care!

Hi,
I happen to be a former Mooney Jockey and owner (N6807V), so I maintain this board and its counterpart on SI just to support the aircraft and the good people who build them in Kerrville, TX.
At the current price, you might want to snag a sackfull and hang on to it for a few years. I think you will see the company getting involved in more primary training aircraft and UAVs or UCAVs for the military. The USA aircraft school training fleet is getting dog old and needs good replacements, IMHO. The TOXO would make a great training plane.
I don't see any big share price runs coming up anytime soon.

Mooney Airplane Company Deliveries in 2003 Increased 350% in 2003 Compared to Prior Year
KERRVILLE, Texas, Jan 27, 2004 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Mooney Airplane Co., wholly owned subsidiary of Mooney Aerospace Group Ltd., (OTCBB:MASG) announced today that in 2003 the company delivered 35 airplanes, a whopping 350% increase from the number of aircraft delivered in 2002. Deliveries included 29 Mooney Ovation2 models and 6Bravo DX aircraft.
Mooney President J. Nelson Happy remarked: "We are very pleased with the company's sales and deliveries in 2003. It exceeds our expectations, and reflects the hard work that all of our employees put into restarting the company."
Sam Rothman, chairman of Mooney's board, stated: "We accomplished a great deal in 2003. We went from a production rate of one airplane per month to about five per month. We are now well positioned to increase production in 2004. We have proven that the company is back in business and ready to resume normal operations this year."
Nicolas Chabbert, executive vice president of marketing and sales for Mooney, stated: "In 2003 we re-established the confidence with our customers and we were able to sell an increased number of airplanes toward the later part of the year to traditional Mooney buyers. Our new airplanes were built to the highest quality standard in Mooney's 50-year-history. In 2004 we expect a number of important technological advances that will put Mooney at the cutting edge of general aviation technology. We also expect to increase sales to about 80 airplanes for the year."
Mr. Happy commented: "We expect to re-enter the international market with substantially increased sales in 2004 to take advantage of the favorable exchange rate which now exists, especially in Europe. We are optimistic about the company's opportunities thoughout the world."

Suprise Alert:
MASG voted #1 boring stock in the world.
The stock is evidently saying 'screw it' to all traders. It only wants 'investors' at this time. And probably very young 'investors' at that. Everyone else will be dead (of old age) by the time it has a penny spread.
Thanks for the reply Beale7. If they can't crash it, all they can do is move it sideways for as long as possible.
Good luck all.
Hay "Cannonshot"-
Good post! Don't get many MASG post here any more; if you really want some "post-action", head over to Raging Bull MASG board, lots of posting there. And yes, I've been trying to get-in more at below $.02, but it just wont seem to go that way! Lower resistance is $.0205, and it hasn't budged! I'd love to "load-up" more at $.02 even! And yes, I think you're right about upper management wanting to take MASG to the big boards; if you have the stomach to wait that long, it'd be a great investment! Many dips yet to go though before MASG is "sustained in flight"!
Gravity has slowly been shifting in the stock. It was nothing but down. Then it went nothing but sideways. Now it will pull upwards.
Did you see the subtle nudge the other day? Today is follow through with that.
I was open to seeing a wipe out well under 2. I would have been suprised however.... but alas folks are catching all those small shares from those weak hands.
I think some months ago many folks bought around one cent. I think it is fair to say those who wanted to take their profit have done so. Most everyone else stands here with a solid loss.
Oh the power of The Wall (as in street), cause now gravity is shifting in favor of longs. We will get to my .12 projection just have to wait. Hell, I'm in so cheap, I'll probably hold till we come out with a new flying device.
Lets project that this group of managment will not be happy till they see their stock trading on the big board.
Good luck longs... and I appreciate this place where smarter people than I can speak about Mooney.
First private rocket ship goes supersonic
14:52 18 December 03
NewScientist.com news service
The first piloted and rocket-powered craft to have been developed by a private company made its maiden flight on Wednesday, over the Mojave desert in California.
The craft, called Space Ship One (SS1), also become the first such craft to break the sound barrier, reaching a top speed of 930 mph (1490 km/h). The flight, exactly 100 years after the Wright brothers made their historic flight, marks a big step to winning the $10 million X Prize for private spaceflight.
SS1 has been developed by Scaled Composites, an aerospace company run by famed airplane pioneer Burt Rutan. Wednesday's flight followed a four-month series of unpowered drop and land tests.
Observers believe the flight could set the stage for the coming century in the same way the Wright brothers' began the last. Rick Tumlinson, head of the Space Frontier Foundation, says that, like the Wrights, "Scaled Composites is opening the next level of flight to the general public, and doing it without government money."
Nose up
The fully reusable system uses two vehicles. The first, a turbojet-powered carrier plane called White Knight, carries the second, SS1, up to about 15,000 metres (48,000 feet). SS1 is then released by White Knight and ignites its innovative hybrid rocket motor.
Test pilot Brian Binnie, at the controls of SS1, began the flight at 0815 PST, after being released from the carrier plane by its pilot, Peter Siebold. The two were moving at Mach 0.55 at the time of release.
Binnie then pulled SS1's nose up to 60° and lit the rocket for 15 seconds. This blasted SS1 to 930 mph, or Mach 1.2, and an altitude of 68,000 feet (20,700 m).
Such heights have not been seen by any such rocket craft since the X-15 test flights in the 1960s. Finally, SS1 glided down for 12 minutes and returned to the runway.
There were no problems during the flight, but the craft's landing gear partly collapsed as it touched down and one wingtip hit the runway, causing minor damage.
Double trip
To win the X-Prize, the craft will have to reach an altitude of 100,000 metres (328,000 feet) with three people aboard, and then repeat the process within two weeks. Rutan and his colleagues plan to continue their cautious approach and push a bit higher with each flight over the coming months as they work toward the prize flights.
X-Prize Foundation president Peter Diamandis told New Scientist on Wednesday that of the 27 teams signed up for the X-Prize, Scaled Composites' is the first to have performed a manned test flight.
Flying a person in a privately financed rocket as Scaled Composites has now done was "definitely one of the major hurdles" towards the X-Prize, Diamandis says. But they will now have to deal with increasing speeds and heating of the structure.
"There are at least three other teams on his tail," Diamandis adds. "I have no doubt that we're going to have a winner" within the next year.

I think only Revenue increase will get this going. Let's see if revenue increased in December. Well, this company has been in business for some 50 years. So, I don't think it is going out of business anytime soon with the new CEO who is an expert in aviation field. eom
ABCMIT: It appears that there is a lack of confidence in the $2.3M revenue just reported. If $30M or so is the loss for a prior year it would take not $2.3M but on average $2.5M per month to breakeven or stated differently, if a mix of airplanes sold approximates the November mix, MASG would need to sell 60 airplanes in an years time. 120 airplanes would really get it in the profit environment which is what the stock game is all about for a going business. Individually we can make money by capturing the emotion of the moment. I missed the last two opportunities.
Oh well. What do you think? What will fire this stock up?

Mooney Aerospace Group Reports Revenues of Over $2.3 Million for November 2003, A 21% Increase from October 2003 Revenue

Company Delivers 5 New Airplanes in Month
KERRVILLE, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 10, 2003--Mooney Aerospace Group Ltd. (OTCBB:MASG - News) announced today that its revenue increased from $1,881,000 in October to $2,359,000 in November, a 21% increase. The company completed and delivered five new Mooney airplanes in November. Four of the aircraft are Ovation2 DX models, and one is a Bravo DX.
J. Nelson Happy, Mooney President, stated: "November deliveries were the second highest monthly since we resumed production. I believe that this success firmly establishes that we are now producing airplanes on a scheduled basis and our assembly line is working smoothly. Most importantly, it shows that we can meet our business plan on a consistent basis."
Robert Collier, Mooney's Director of Operations, observed: "Our people are working at top form and are putting their all into quality. We have never built better airplanes than we are building now."

Mooney Aerospace Group, now restructured is moving ahead to take up a leading position in the General Aviation market.
With new investment in hand, Mooney Aerospace Group has announced a partnership with BAE Systems (UK), Kaskol Group (Russia), Venture Industries (USA) and Foxtron Overseas Investments, to add more aircraft to its current line.
Having already committed to the 2 seat Mooney Toxo, Mooney is to add at least 3 aircraft to its product line over the next 3 months.
We believe that the General Aviation industry, at the smaller end is ripe for a major shake-up. The 'old' boys, Piper, Cessna, Raytheon continue producing 40 year old aircraft, while new dynamic companies like Cirrus, with its SR20/22 shot up into 2nd place last year with over 350 deliveries.
Look for major changes/disappearances in this market over the next 12 months, especially at New Piper Aircraft.

Mooney Airplane Company Receives $5 Million in Debt Financing
KERRVILLE, Texas, Nov 21, 2003 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Mooney Airplane Company (the "Company"), a wholly owned subsidiary of Mooney Aerospace Group Ltd. (OTCBB:MASG), announced today that it received a $5,000,000 loan guaranteed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture Business and Industry Guaranteed Loan Program from BLX Commercial Capital LLC. The BLX Loan has a term of 25 years; bears interest at 2.00% over the Prime Rate, adjustable quarterly, and is secured by, among other things, the Company's FAA Type Certificate.
According to J. Nelson Happy, the Company's president, "We are very pleased to have obtained this loan guaranteed by the USDA. It demonstrates that we are viewed as credit worthy for a substantial amount of money, and it provides working capital that will help us with our daily operations."
Sam Rothman, Mooney's chairman, observed: "I want to congratulate the company on obtaining this substantial injection of funds. It enabled us to pay off the remaining balance of the debt owed to Congress Financial Corporation that was incurred when the Mooney assets were purchased last year. Since February 2002, we were able to pay off the entire $4,500,000 owed to Congress, and retire the $5,700,000 Limited Recourse Secured Note which would have become due if the company defaulted in its payment to Congress Financial."
Mr. Happy added, "The loan also allowed us to pay off several other obligations due, including prepaying a note for taxes incurred before we bought the Mooney assets. We have less short-term debt now, and we have strengthened our balance sheet considerably. This is an important step in paving the way for stronger financial performance next year."

"Mooney Will Fly"!
I think what we have here with MASG is a Co. largely dependent on "larger forces at work", i.e. the "re-bounding of the greater U.S. economy" at large; and with increased productivity accross the board, in all heavy industry, I think we will see a big Mooney re-bound.
I'm a little new to the stock, the Co., and the product; but, one very key thing is, I have an eye for nastalgia and quality, and these two attributes Mooney most defenitely possesses. Plus, I read previous post which indicate some government contracts/w Mooney could be in the works, via "homeland security surveillance", and that's a defenite plus.
Still and yet, look at our CEO! He has some really very impressive credentials; and I highly doubt that he'd come to Mooney, as a former aviation lawyer, to flounder; unless of course, he's come to fleece the nest- which I really don't forsee being the case here.
Just the whole personel at Mooney seems top quality.
Investment tips: Look y'all, we're not that far from a 52-week low, so "averaging down" into the next and last CC of the year, all the while with the finger on the trigger looking for that $.08 pop, isn't a bad strategy at all, most especially with big increases in revenue reported. (but now I read and learn that those revenues are off-set by cost production!)...But still, the cost can be brought down, as they have, and as it has been reported. I think the important thing now is to increase brand awareness accross the board. Let people know the Mooney name as much as Beachcraft or Piper, or any of the other familiar names...Cesna...etc.etc...Let the economy continue to rebound, let the gov. throw some more incentives for "big-ticket purchasers", i.e. tax credits; throw some gov. contracts in the mix; and let our CEO pull a rabbit out of the hat- and we're off, up, and in the air, flying high!
Worries: That big "break-down in price from the run to $.08; next day, complete collapse; then the following trading day, we collapsed after a run to .035-ish!...Looks like this MASG is a "play for the money makers" (that's what we are too, right, in a way, although I want to be real long this stock at some point!)...and given that the MM's "run-it-down" after a sizeable gain, maybe look to take profits sooner, then "buy-back"; b/c we should still be a ways off from a straight shoot up, and there should be plenty of opportunity to "buy back". I've learned this the hard way, seeing profits turn to loss overnight! Anyway, I said too much already, and probably revealed more of a trading strategy than is prudent; just want to see us on the board here make some money too, all the while supporting Mooney's rise to prominence again! Take Care All and Y'all, and good night, and happy trading in the AM tomorrow!
Post script, a little happy with today's close, given how we could have gone a lot further south, along with the greater Market; maybe it portends more upward movement in the 'morrow, or soon thereafter. Anyway, observing how it trades, looks like $.023 is a good buy for her, although I paid more, b/c I wasn't sure where She would settle after the last earnings run! Anyway, strong candidate to average her all the way down, as she'll go, if she does at all, from these levels. Hope this jibberish makes sense to someone!
Peace and Prosperity

pm,
That's good, on both counts. Everybody here is aware of the "..stuff..' that goes on in the pennystock markets, so all the typical caveates are not necessary.
Others of us, who are or were Mooney jockies, would really like to see this company succeed - as general avaition itself is in a world of hurt anyway.
Welcome aboard.
John
John - quick note. I paid my membership. My posts are generally factual.
You may want to consider the difference between 'rights' and 'privileges', as iHub is a membership organization and most all discussion boards are 'monitored' - as opposed to the BS free-for-all banner-advertising-generator known as RB.
MASG's finances are rather a mess, but considering that Moomey's doors were essentially shut two years ago, the company itself is making good strides.
John
John - didn't mean to come across negative though I probably did. My main concern was and still is revenue or actually profit. Revenue does not do very much if cost of sales more than offsets it. Even after the report of $6.3M, 480% rise in revenue, whole picture. Again, what is the cost of sales. I see in a prior year we had some $5M in revenue and lost some $39M. You probably would agree that this is not a very good ratio. I hope we have another Lee Ioccoca. One capable of bring the Government $$$ to bear on our behalf. I won't hold my breath and I hope no one else does either. And John, I could sell my shares and go away but until I do I will exercise my right to express myself on this or any other issue involving MASG.
Thanks. My personal opinion is that yesterday we saw a lot of selling into the press release news. Must be the big financers...just my guess. There is no way we could have had that much buying at the ask and gone nowhere. If we can get just one day where that doesn't happen, well, this would pop.
desertrat, no response yet, I will send it to you when I get it. Take care
firefighter4, I'd be interested in hearing that too.

Mooney Aerospace Group Reports Record Revenues of Over $6.3 Million for Third Quarter of 2003, a 480% Increase From Same Period in 2002
Tuesday November 18, 7:00 am ET
Company Delivers 14 New Airplanes in Period
KERRVILLE, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 18, 2003-- Mooney Aerospace Group Ltd. (OTCBB:MASG - News) announced today that the company recorded over $6.3 million in revenue for the third quarter of 2003, ending September 30, 2003. Quarterly revenues were a 480% increase for the $1.3 million in sales recorded in the third quarter of 2002.
Fourteen airplanes were delivered during the third quarter, and additional revenue from parts and service amounted to approximately $.6 million of the $6.3 million total.
J. Nelson Happy, Mooney president, remarked: "The sharp increase in revenue for the quarter reflects a growing demand for Mooney aircraft, and an increased capability of our plant to produce airplanes. I believe that we should see a record fourth quarter as well. All of our aircraft are sold for November delivery, and I expect that we will sell out the remaining planes we can build in December. Our employees are working overtime, nights and weekends to build as many planes as possible for delivery in 2003."
Nicolas Chabbert, executive vice president of marketing and sales, commented: "Our customers are really pleased with the quality of the Mooney airplane. Interest in the Ovation2 DX and the Bravo DX has been at a high level since the summer. I think marketing and sales will have an excellent fourth quarter in 2003."

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE JULY 29, 2003
MOONEY AIRPLANE ANNOUNCES
INTERNATIONAL PARTNERSHIP TO INTRODUCE NEW AIRCRAFT
OSHKOSH, WISC. Mooney Airplane Company of Kerrville, Texas, a wholly owned subsidiary of Mooney
Aerospace Group. Ltd, (OTCBB: MASG) announced at the annual meeting of the Experimental Aircraft
Association (EAA) that it signed an agreement to establish an international partnership with BAE
Systems, the KASKOL Group, Foxton Investments LTD, and Venture Industries in London last week at
the BAE Systems headquarters. The purpose of the new alliance is to cause the introduction,
development and commercialization of a diverse and innovative range of new generation aircraft under
the Mooney banner.
Initially the new consortium will enter into two futuristic areas of aviation production: the manufacture of
an innovative sport plane, and the development of an affordable surveillance aircraft for global homeland
security efforts. The groundbreaking partnership represents the first time that an international alliance
has been forged for the production of general aviation aircraft.
At the signing of the agreement were representatives of each member of the partnership, Mr. J. Nelson
Happy, President of Mooney Airplane Company; Mr. Steve Jackman, Vice President for Economic
Development, BAE Systems; Mr. Sergey Nedoroslev, CEO, KASKOL Group; Mr. Christian Nielsen of

the world. Mooney has no serious competitors in the all metal, four place, and high performance, pistonpowered
aircraft market. Three models are currently being produced: The Bravo DX, the Ovation 2 DX,
and the Ovation.
Mr. Happy said at the signing ceremony, “I am very excited about our new international partnership with
such outstanding and diversified industry leaders. We will soon be able to add to our line of products
including possibly an entry-level aircraft.”
Steve Jackman, VP for Economic Development of BAE Systems said: “We are always looking to
support innovation. We are keen to participate in such a light aviation program that also offers
international cooperation via our Offset agreements. We believe that our technical solutions, specifically
in avionics, will offer exceptional capabilities to any airborne surveillance applications. We also see that
as an excellent strategic move for Mooney to take the leadership position in the emerging sport plane
niche, and the previously unaddressed affordable surveillance aircraft requirements for global homeland
security efforts.”
Sergey Nedoroslev, CEO of the Kaskol Group of Companies, added: “We firmly believe that our long
and successful tradition and experience in the aerospace industry will be manifested globally with such
valuable partners.” Nicholas Chabbert, Executive VP of Mooney remarked: “Our agreement would not

entering the aerospace business with our worldwide experience in the automotive industry for new
aircraft and interior technologies.”

I'm looking for a turn-around too; and I think with the improved US economy, and the aggressive new management team, that MASG will "take to the skies", in much quicker order than some people may think; best of all, it seems as if they build a very quality product, that is a classic in the aerospace industry. This one is and will be a big winner!
Happy investing! Sincerely,
Beale7
Everyone to their own POV, I suppose.
You have probably never owned a Mooney, or flown a P-51F or Piper Cub. So - like snuggling with Pamela Anderson - not having been there would render a description of the relative attributes rather mnute.
Lee Iacocca fixed Chryler, so J. Nelson may fix MASG; if that isn't of interest to you - c'est la guerre. Better a glass partially full at this juncture, than no glass at all. Owners who were in despesrate need of parts a year ago can now order them from stock.
Personally, I'd like to have a new Toxo since I could land it on the road in front of my home and park it in my front yard prior to a lot of my short-haul business travel (..less than 500 miles each way..).

MASG could use the assistance of a proven leader in cycle time reduction. Its not necessarily cheap but neither are the current losses. If there is interest post here and I'll will get someone in touch with the company!!!!
Apparently it does not sell very much of what it does sell, judging from its huge losses the past two years. It would be great if there was more substance to MASG but I am afraid its mostly fluff.

Mooney partners with Spanish sport aircraft maker -- Kerrville-based Mooney Airplane Co., a subsidiary of Mooney Aerospace Group Ltd. (OTCBB: MASG), has entered into a strategic relationship with Construcciones Aeronauticas De Galicia, manufacturer of the Toxo light sport aircraft in Spain.
Under the agreement, Mooney will undertake the manufacture, design, assembly and marketing of the two-seater aircraft at its plant in Kerrville. The aircraft will be renamed the Mooney Toxo.
"This is a major step for our company. No other traditional aircraft manufacturer has entered the light sport aircraft market before, but we believe that the time has come for us to do this," says Mooney President J. Nelson Happy. "We have flown many of the light sport aircraft available today, and we chose the Toxo because we believe it best represents Mooney's philosophy of offering the highest-performing aircraft in its class."
The new Mooney Toxo will be priced substantially below $100,000 to make it available to a much wider group of pilots, Happy adds.
The airplane has a 120 horsepower engine, a maximum speed of 230 mph, a cruise speed of 180 mph, a 10-hour range and a service ceiling of 14,000 feet.
Mooney recently announced that it has formed an alliance with a number of other foreign firms to introduce a new generation of Mooney aircraft. Those firms include London-based BAE Systems Ltd., Russian aerospace and defense firm the Kaskol Group, private equity investment firm Foxton Investments Ltd. and plastic injection molding firm Venture Industries.
Founded in Kerrville in 1953, Mooney markets three models: the Ovation, the Ovation2 DX and Bravo DX.

Mooney Airplane Company Has Record Number of Visitors At AOPA Convention in Philadelphia and More Than 60 Million MASG Shares Trade in Last Two Days
KERRVILLE, Texas, Oct 31, 2003 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Mooney Airplane Company, wholly owned subsidiary of Mooney Aerospace Group Ltd. (OTCBB:MASG), announced today that a record crowd had visited its booth at the annual AOPA meeting at the Philadelphia Convention Center.
More than 6,000 visitors attended the AOPA meeting yesterday. According to Nicolas Chabbert, Mooney Executive Vice President of Marketing and Sales: "This is the biggest turnout we have had at AOPA for years. The amount of interest in our airplanes is the highest it has been for years. We have a great booth at the show, and we have already gone through more boxes of t-shirts in the first two days than I expected to give away during the whole show. There is a constant heavy flow of visitors through our booth all day long."
Terry Freeman, Director of Public and Investor Relations, reported: "This has been a record week for volume in Mooney's stock. More that 60 million shares traded Wednesday and Thursday. I think this is an indication that the investment community is starting to take an interest in the company. We have received a lot of calls from investors and stockbrokers seeking more information about us, and I welcome the chance to tell the Mooney story to them. A lot of the people coming to our booth at AOPA have asked about our stock as well as our airplanes."
"Many pilots have inquired about Mooney's new initiatives for customer service, particularly our emphasis on improving parts deliveries and providing overhauls and maintenance services from our plant in Kerrville, Texas," reports Todd Bates, Mooney's Director of Customer Service. "We are letting people know that I am the new kid on the block, and I am making sure each Mooney owner is well taken care of. The AOPA convention has been a great way to introduce pilots to our new concern for customer satisfaction."
J. Nelson Happy, Mooney's President, said: "AOPA is a great convention, and I hope pilots, aviation enthusiasts and investors will visit us today and tomorrow in Philadelphia. This has been a great week for Mooney. Last weekend we had a terrific turnout at the MAPA convention at Kerrville, where more that 424 Mooney owners flew in, and over 750 "Mooniacs" attended our barbeque, and now the tremendous interest in our planes at the AOPA convention tells me that the outlook for general aviation in general, and Mooney in particular, is improving for next year."
Mr. Chabbert commented: "Many pilots visiting us at the convention have told me that they know that Mooney is back as a company, and they are interested in all of the new developments that we introduced to our aircraft this year. We are sold out this month, and I think the rest of the year should be very strong for sales. I think we are really gaining sales momentum, and I attribute this to both our wonderful high performance airplane and to the tax incentives now available to buyers of new Mooneys."
(The AOPA convention at the Philadelphia Convention Center is open through November 1, 2003.)

Mooney Airplane Company Hosts Huge Convention of Airplane Owners
KERRVILLE, Texas, Oct 28, 2003 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Mooney Airplane Company, wholly owned subsidiary of Mooney Aerospace Group Ltd., (OTCBB:MASG) hosted the annual meeting of The Mooney Aircraft Pilots Association (MAPA) last weekend. More than 225 Mooney aircraft flew in for the convention, which was attended by over 400 members.
The opening event at the convention was a session led by J. Nelson Happy, the company's president. Mr. Happy briefed the attendees about the company's progress since construction of Mooney aircraft was resumed last year. According to Mr. Happy, Mooney is on target to build and deliver over 40 new airplanes this year, and has about a one-month backlog of customer orders. The company expects to substantially increase sales and production in 2004, Mr. Happy reported.
"It was a great opportunity for us to let our customers know that Mooney is truly back in business and that we are putting a new focus on supporting our aircraft in the field. It is estimated that about 10,000 Mooneys are flying, and we want to be sure that each airplane be well supported by the factory," Mr. Happy stated.
Nicholas Chabbert, executive vice president of marketing and sales, coordinated the event with Trey Hughes, MAPA's executive director. According to Mr. Chabbert, "This was the best MAPA fly in ever. We were able to educate a lot of Mooney owners about what the company is doing, and we noticed a keen interest in our new aircraft models. The Mooney owner community is lively and they speak among themselves a lot, so the good news spread very quickly."
The convention coincided with the 50th anniversary of the company's move to Kerrville, and the start of the Mooney M20's design. MAPA members toured the factory and participated in a barbeque that was attended by over 750 pilots and company employees.
Due to the high aircraft traffic, five aircraft controllers, mostly from Waco, Texas, were manning shifts of the FAA-sponsored temporary control tower.
In other company news, during the annual shareholder's meeting in New York City on Oct. 2, 2003, all issues presented to the shareholders for approval passed by a wide margin, and the entire slate of directors was elected, consisting of Sam Rothman, chairman; J. Mooney Airplane Company Deliveries Increased 280% in Third Quarter 2003
Wednesday October 29, 5:00 am ET KERRVILLE, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 29, 2003--The General Aviation Manufacturer's Association (GAMA) has released statistics showing deliveries by Mooney Airplane Co., wholly owned subsidiary of Mooney Aerospace Group Ltd., (OTCBB:MASG - News) increased a whopping 280% from the second to the third quarter of 2003.
Mooney delivered 14 new aircraft in the third quarter compared with 5 delivered in the second quarter. Deliveries included 11 Mooney Ovation2 models and 3 Bravo DX aircraft.
Mooney President and GAMA board member J. Nelson Happy remarked: "The third quarter deliveries show a substantial increase in our ability to build and deliver aircraft. We have reestablished momentum, and we are looking forward to even more deliveries in the fourth quarter."
Sam Rothman, Chairman of Mooney's board, stated: "We are very pleased by the company's amazing results for the third quarter. The board greatly appreciates the hard work of all the company's employees during this period, and we want to thank them for their willingness to work nights and weekends to meet customer delivery deadlines. The quarter's results show that we are achieving our business plan objectives."
GAMA statistics reveal that Mooney's deliveries during the third quarter were greater than many other general aviation companies. In dollar volume, Mooney exceeded competitors such as Lancair, Maule Air, American Champion, OMF and Tiger. In total aircraft delivered, Mooney exceeded all but one those companies, (it tied with Lancair) as well as Boeing Business Jets, Dessault, Embraer, and Piaggio. Several companies reported declines in deliveries, including New Piper Aircraft, Raytheon, Socata, and American Champion.
Total single-engine piston deliveries increased from 373 in the second quarter to 376 in the third quarter, according to GAMA. Mr. Happy noted, "If Mooney had not increased deliveries, then there would have been a decline in this segment." However, President and CEO of GAMA, Ed Bolen, pointed out, "This is the third straight quarter in which piston deliveries have been in positive territory, and we hope that is a harbinger of better days for the entire industry. The piston numbers, a strengthening economy, and the bonus depreciation are generating cautious optimism among manufactures."
Nicolas Chabbert, Executive Vice President of Marketing and Sales for Mooney, stated: "Our big jump in deliveries has been very impressive to our potential customers, and we anticipate that we will continue to have increases in sales and deliveries for the balance of the year. This is a great tribute to the quality of Mooney aircraft, because we are still fighting a soft economy. We are making plans for increased marketing efforts in 2004, and I believe we will see continued increases in our market penetration next year."

Well; I guess that means we will have to wait a little longer, now that Collier is going back to Spain to personally build a newly renamed Mooney SpeedStar. I wonder if he was really that anxious or what. I guess we can forget that other name that refered to bacterias and deseases. Wonder what it means in Spanish. ****eray****
Mooney Aerospace Group Representatives Visit Spanish Aviation Manufacturer, Designers of Mooney Speedster
KERRVILLE, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 10, 2003--Mooney Aerospace Group Ltd. (OTCBB:MASG) President J. Nelson Happy and Mooney Airplane Co. Director of Production Robert Collier recently completed manufacturing facility site inspection of CAG (Construcciones Aeronauticas de Galicia) in Ribadeo (Lugo) Spain. The Mooney team was accompanied by members of an international aerospace consortium including David Broadbent of BAE Systems and Christian Nielsen of Foxton Investments Ltd.
During this visit, the group inspected manufacturing equipment and procedures. They also performed demanding test flights of the Toxo II, the company's sport plane soon to be sold by Mooney in North America renamed the Speedster.
Collier and Nielsen, both former US Navy jet pilots, incorporate an in-depth knowledge of aviation to the Speedster project. According to Collier, "This airplane flew like a jet. I enjoyed every minute. The Toxo II cruises at 180 mph and has a maximum speed of 230 mph. This is awesome performance for an airplane equipped with a 120 hp engine."
After a test flight, Happy commented, "Getting in and out of the Toxo was easy, and I was particularly impressed by the plane's superior quality of workmanship and materials. The extensive testing program performed by CAG translates into an outstanding performer."
Mooney Aerospace Group expects to offer this plane to the North American market as a "home build" kit, as well as a "factory-assisted" version, with the factory assembling something less than 49 percent of the work.
According to Nielsen, this represents a price spread of about $35,000.00 for the "home build" kit to $69,000.00 for the "assisted" version.
Collier will return to Spain later this month to personally assemble a kit.
"We at Mooney are excited to enter the increasingly popular sport airplane market. Offering these two versions of the Speedster at under $75,000 will open the door for many new pilots seeking the Mooney flying experience. Celebrating our 50th year in general aviation, with well over 8,000 Mooneys flying worldwide -- renowned for speed, design and safety -- constitutes a strong foundation for launching the Speedster," added Happy.

About Mooney Aerospace Group
Mooney Aerospace Group (OTCBB: MASG) is a re-emerging player in the $41 billion general aviation industry. The company designs, manufactures and distributes its own line of single engine aircraft sold to the general aviation market. The original Mooney company was established in 1947 by Al Mooney and has sold over 10,000 aircraft over the last 50 years. 8,000 planes are still in operation in the U.S. alone. Mooney is known in the industry as a highly reliable high- performance single engine plane that maintains its value in the aircraft aftermarket. In 2002, a new management team took over and Mooney Aerospace Group received Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) production and repair certificates for its facility in Texas. The company began producing and shipping aircraft in late 2002, generating revenues in excess of $5 million for the year representing both the sales of new aircraft and parts and service revenues. The first six months of 2003 the company reported revenues in excess of $4.5 million. The company operates out of a 350,000-square-foot facility near San Antonio, Texas and employs over 170 people. Since its re-emergence, Mooney Aerospace has achieved several new milestones and is well positioned to capitalize on the successful completion of a recent financial restructuring and the infusion of $7.5 million in new capital. Since acquiring the assets of the prior Mooney Aircraft Corporation in 2002, the milestones reached include: Creation of a new executive management team; Consolidation of all operations at the Kerrville, Texas manufacturing plant; Introduction of a new plane, the Ovation2 DX; and formation of a sales and marketing division that combines a direct and indirect domestic sales force and reintroduces international sales.
Industry overview
Globally, general aviation is a $41 billion industry that is clearly an integral part of our nation's transportation system and economy. The industry generated over $11 billion in new aircraft sales in 2002. US sales figures exceeded $7.8 billion in 2002. Although the sales figures were down from 2001, prior years have set new revenue records. 2002 sales exceeded 1999 figures and the industry has grown three fold from 1996.
Numerous steps are being taken by the industry to stimulate sales, including: changes in the tax code that allows accelerated depreciation, promotion of innovative new products, financing incentives, innovative ownership strategies (fractional ownership) and continued support from the state and federal government to provide an atmosphere conducive to growth.
The industry is broken down into four aircraft categories: single engine piston (Mooney's category); multi-engine piston; turboprops and business jets representing over 2,500 total aircraft sold in 2002. Single engine piston aircraft led the way in 2002 with over 1,440 aircraft sold worldwide. Is 18% gross margin comfortable # in this business? They mention it in first // so I imagine it is.
In deduction is this Logical?:
475K less 86K is about $400K
Running this business is about $400K/mos give or take 10K
Remember when Happy told us he hopes to be profitable by end of 2003. Well, he is a little early! Its only Sept.
86K/mos is about $1.0M/yr.
In case you are interested:
we had our biggest volume day ever... 9.2m
we are bouncing off of 100MA, and bollinger (latter has narrowed nicely)
Our 200MA will turn up if we go up from here (not happened in YEARS AND YEARS)
We are at 1x4 gann line in time since the all time low of .005 (actually been there all last week too) so logical place to turn.
Seems today most ALL volume was on ask side.
Amazing that all this crap MAY work on a penny stock.
How many stocks is stock universe are this cheap with so much potential/ and already profitable?
I'm sure sell side people will harp on debt, but Happy got it now at 3% interest. I'm sure that is why they want to have secondary... just to pay down as much debt as they can. Is it really $11 million/yr in interest payments?
I really think they want to see the stock appreciate some before they blow out a bigger float.
Hard not to be speculative bullish. Great turn around story. Its all in the management capabilities. It is so nice to see Happy et al are just steady as she goes. You can tell they all have a love for their product, and they would never spread lies and rumours to hurt those flying wings.
Wall street will like these gyes.
If the economy holds up, who knows how high we can go. and this stock is just a neonatal infant.
but I'm prejudice... I'm long.
Mooney Airplane Company Announces Profitable July on Record Revenues; Delivery of Six Planes Nets $85,909 On Revenues In Excess of $2.6mm In Revenues

- BusinessWire
KERRVILLE, Texas, Sep 8, 2003 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Mooney Airplane Co., a wholly owned subsidiary of Mooney Aerospace Group, Ltd. (MASG) , had a net income of $85,909.00 in July 2003. The company reported net sales of $2,616,566.00 and an 18% gross margin of $475,420. Company President J. Nelson Happy remarked, "This is the first month since we acquired the Mooney assets that the operating subsidiary has been profitable."
Sam Rothman, Chairman of Mooney Aerospace Group, Ltd., commented, "We are very pleased with the financial performance of Mooney Airplane Company in July. Achieving a gross margin of 18% is in line with our business plan, and although we anticipate monthly variations in financial performance, these results prove that the company can make money."
Robert Collier, Director of Operations, observed, "We completed and delivered five new Ovation 2 DX and one new Bravo DX in July. We now project that the assembly line will be able to establish a consistent construction output of six airplanes per month starting in September."
Mr. Happy also commented, "All of our production is sold for September and we are beginning to see strong order flow for October deliveries. As a result of the new accelerated depreciation rules adopted by Congress this year, along with excellent efforts by our Mooney sales and marketing team, we expect that Mooney will be able to book orders for all of our remaining 2003 production capacity."
Nicolas Chabbert, Mooney's Executive Vice-President of Sales and Marketing stated: "We have just completed our photo shoot highlighting our newly designed paint scheme. We will soon print new literature illustrating all Ovation2, Ovation2 DX and Bravo DX designs to assist our sales efforts. Also, we have had a lot of favorable recognition in the press, such as Private Pilot's report in its October 2003 issue, which also helps sales."
In other company news, the previously announced strategic relationship with Spanish airplane manufacturer Contrucciones Aeronautics de Galicia (CAG) is progressing. The company will release shortly a detailed update on the introduction of a new Mooney sport airplane, the Mooney Speedster, (known as Toxo II in Spain).

About Mooney Aerospace Group
Mooney Aerospace Group (MASG) is a re-emerging player in the $41 billion general aviation industry. The Company designs, manufactures and distributes its own line of single engine aircraft sold to the general aviation market. The original Mooney company was established in 1947 by Al Mooney and has sold over 10,000 aircraft over the last 50 years. 8,000 planes are still in operation in the U.S. alone. Mooney is known in the industry as a highly reliable high performance single engine plane that maintains its value in the aircraft aftermarket. In 2002 a new management team took over and Mooney Aerospace Group received Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) production and repair certificates for its facility in Texas. The company began producing and shipping aircraft in late 2002 generating revenues in excess of $5 million for the year representing both the sales of new aircraft and parts and service revenues. The first six months of 2003 the company reported revenues in excess of $4.5 million. The company operates out of a 350,000 square foot facility near San Antonio, Texas and employs over 170 people.
The industry is broken down into four aircraft categories: single engine piston (Mooney's category); multi-engine piston; turboprops and business jets representing over 2500 total aircraft sold in 2002. Single engine piston aircraft lead the way in 2002 with over 1440 aircraft sold worldwide. Industry leaders include Boeing Business Jets (BA) , Bombardier (Toronto Exchange: BBDa.TO), Cessna (a division of Textron Inc. It's nice that they have someone inhouse to coordinate sales and do additional BizDev.
Actually, I would attribute any nationally negative effect to Slick Willy Clintwit or that hag he's pseudo-'married' to. Every time they show up on TV, it certainly makes me want to puke and then walk a couple of laps around the back yard.
The comercial airline travel situation here in the US will probably do the most to promote Mooney sales. Every time I get on a plane for business and have to put up with all the invasive security procedures, it sure makes the day I sold my M20E a little more aggravating.
The military still has a lot of associated Aero Clubs I would imagine, that's were I got my Private ticket. It would be nice if they could sell some planes to that market for complex, retractable, instrument training and long-distance cross-country work.
