It's really hard to escape a cult. It would be hard to imagine he hasn't already been brainwashed by the Koch school he's been going to.
This isn't the first time I've seen Drudge flip on Trump.
Yes, I think it may be. But perhaps that's what he wants.
The entire school sounds insane. I'm sure we'll all be interested to find out where Barron chooses to go to college. Wherever it is, the diversity will be a shock to his system.
That is rather surprising.
I particularly find this member of the board interesting.
James Golden
James Golden is a talk radio producer, call screener, and radio host best known for working 30 years with The Rush Limbaugh Show. Since 2001, he has been a producer/executive for Premiere Networks, the largest radio syndication company in the United States. As a senior partner of Golden Creative Communications, LLC., he launched a podcast, Rush Limbaugh: The Man Behind the GoldenEIB Microphone, on iHeart Radio. On August 23, 2021, he returned to WABC and sister station WLIR-FM to host a 4:00-5:00 afternoon show and Saturdays 7:00-10:00 am. He is also the author of the book Rush on The Radio: A Tribute from His Sidekick of 30 Years, published in November 2021.
That figures. He was a big supporter of Romney, but his Wikipedia page says nothing about Trumpty.
Oddly, I went to the Oxbridge Academy's site to confirm that the graduation ceremony is on the 17th at 7 p.m., but could find no information about it at all. Maybe the school's just trying to keep gawkers away.
Another weird and strange school. Their board of trustees reads like right wing podcast.
Who owns Who owns Oxbridge Academy?
Koch founded Oxbridge Academy in 2011 and has donated more than $100 million since the school's inception. He is also the founder of Oxbow Carbon LLC, one of the world's largest refinery and natural gas byproducts recyclers.?

"It's a dog that......just......won't......die", wails Noem as she slithers away muttering; "I really hate that dog". She wouldn't let the poor puppy live to learn how to hunt, now all that's left for it to do is forever haunt.

I think we already knew that. And... yes, we did:

I was a victim of misinformation that's been going around. Mostly that he didn't go to the high school grads is what's out there, but I guess there's versions of the college ones too.
I only know that he attended Tiffany's because there were photos of him there. Naturally Marla Maples was there as well. I don't think Melania was.
But of course in this case, he made a big deal of telling his supporters that he and "the family" had been planning for this enormously important event "for years".
Oddly, I went to the Oxbridge Academy's site to confirm that the graduation ceremony is on the 17th at 7 p.m., but could find no information about it at all. Maybe the school's just trying to keep gawkers away.
Her tenure as judge in that trial should be PERMANENTLY postponed.
I stand corrected. I was a victim of misinformation that's been going around. Mostly that he didn't go to the high school grads is what's out there, but I guess there's versions of the college ones too.
Trump's still a traitor, criminal, rapist, officially was the worst president on record, lacking any ability to lead, mentally destitute, emotionionaly disabled, a want to be dictator, and won't even be able to wipe his own ass within a couple of years, that's if he can do it now. I'm afraid to say how I really feel.
But yes, Traitor trump went to his kids graduations and according to Snopes, this will be his first one missed if he doesn't go. Not entirely sure how long he was at any of them, maybe only made an appearance. I don't think he could maintain for any length of time in that setting now, he can barely maintain for a shorter time, less aggressive atmosphere rally where he just goes on autopilot and it doesn't matter to the cult that many of the things he says don't make any sense.
Court time is taking a toll, and the only way he is even to do that is by sitting deadweight like Jabba the Hutt, sleep, fart, and do the one trick he knows to the cameras at the end.
Trump Never Attended Any of His Children's High School or College Graduations?
The former president's complaint that he might be unable to attend his son Barron's high school graduation due to his trial spawned misinformation.

Federal judge indefinitely postpones Trump classified documents trial

Cannon indefinitely postpones Trump’s Mar-a-Lago documents trial
Judge Aileen Cannon has indefinitely postponed former President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago documents case, punting some court dates into late July while declining to set a trial date.
The Tuesday order — issued less than two weeks before Trump’s trial was still on the books to kick off on May 20 — leaves unclear when Trump’s case will ever come before a jury.
Cannon pinned the delay on the need to resolve numerous issues dealing with how classified information will be handled at trial, details governed by the Classified Information Procedures Act (CIPA).
“The Court also determines that finalization of a trial date at this juncture—before resolution of the myriad and interconnected pre-trial and CIPA issues remaining and forthcoming—would be imprudent and inconsistent with the Court’s duty to fully and fairly consider the various pending pre-trial motions before the Court,” Cannon wrote.

Apparently some apes also make and use stone tools...
Good article. I wonder what plants the Orangutan used to heal his injury? And that picture is so cool!
You're probably right. I wonder how long they've been using spears. Did they first see a human doing it, or did they figure it out themselves? According to this person, they learned from local fishermen:
A male Orangutan clinging to an overhanging branch imitates the local fishermen to spear a fish with a pole on the Gohang river of Borneo island. They have been documented to be using tools for quite a long time, but this picture is extraordinary. pic.twitter.com/JcN0SQ3OU0
— Susanta Nanda (@susantananda3) July 3, 2019
I bet if someone came in to teach the orangutans how to make the forks themselves, they would quickly learn how to do that.
Orangutans are very smart, and a lot like us. There's a video making the rounds at X of one mashing up leaves with antibiotic properties to put on a wound on its face. And the leaves worked; the wound healed. They also use spears to catch fish.
Many years ago, I read a story about orangutans at a reserve in Southeast Asia. They were stealing the knives and forks of tourists, because they wanted to use them... to eat. The reserve authorities were appalled, and made sure the tourists didn't bring that kind of thing in, because forks would artificially "humanize" the apes.
And at the time, I wondered if we have the right to do that. The orangutans seem to want to "improve" themselves. Why should we stop them from doing that? It's like trying to make some "unspoiled" Amazonian tribe of humans stay that way.
Judge shopping again!
New York’s abortion rights amendment thrown off ballot, for now
Democrats plan to appeal with the assumption that Democratic-dominated higher courts will eventually let the ERA stay on the November ballot.
Efforts to codify abortion rights in the state constitution in New York suffered a setback Tuesday when a conservative judge said it violated state law in how it was passed. | AP
ALBANY, New York — A measure that would codify abortion rights in the New York constitution, as well as other equal rights, was tossed off the ballot Tuesday, a blow to Democrats’ efforts to get the question to voters in November.
A conservative judge in upstate Livingston County rejected the measure in a court ruling, questioning the legality of the ballot question. Democrats hope the measure will drive out turnout in a critical election year where New York will have a half dozen battleground House seats that could determine control of the chamber next year.
Democrats plan to appeal with the assumption that Democratic-dominated higher courts will eventually let the ERA stay on the November ballot — one of a number of states with abortion rights measure on the ballot. They have been preparing to use the ERA and its enshrinement of abortion rights into the state constitution as the core of a $20 million effort to drive out voters.
“This is a disappointing court decision, but we will appeal because New Yorkers deserve to be protected by their Constitution, especially as our basic freedoms and rights are under attack,” Attorney General Tish James said in a statement.
Harris sounds alarm over Florida's 6-week abortion ban
But for now, the decision in the lawsuit brought by Assembly Republican Marjorie Byrnes handed Republicans some momentum on the issue.
“Once again the legislature and Governor Hochul are found to have violated the state constitution,” state GOP Chair Ed Cox said in a statement. “In their rush to pass this amendment, the Legislature never held a single hearing on the proposal, never consulted with outside constitutional experts, and falsely asserted this amendment was necessary to protect abortion rights in the state.”
Byrnes had argued that Democrats failed to follow the proper steps before sending the amendment to voters. The state constitution says that before legislators vote on amendment, the attorney general shall be given 20 days to render an opinion on whether it conflicts with other parts of the constitution.
The amendment was introduced and passed on July 1, 2022, before an opinion had been offered.
“In order to amend the constitution, the majority violated the constitution,” Byrnes said in an interview earlier this year.
Supreme Court Judge Daniel Doyle agreed and dismissed Democratic arguments that they had substantially complied with the constitutional requirements.
“’Substantial’ compliance is not compliance, and this Court cannot condone actions taken by the Legislature in derogation of the expressed will of the People,” he wrote.
In the weeks the case was argued, Democrats accused the GOP of forum shopping and warned that they might be dealt a temporary setback in Livingston County.
But they were confident that they would eventually win once the case reached the Court of Appeals — which has recently handed Democrats victories on issues such as redistricting — and the issue would remain on the ballot.
“This ruling is nothing but a baseless attack by the anti-abortion minority, and we are confident it will be overturned on appeal,” Andrew Taverrite, spokesperson for the pro-ERA New Yorkers for Equal Rights, said in a statement. “Our focus will remain on educating and empowering voters so that they can vote to protect their fundamental rights and reproductive freedoms in November.”
Democrats have tried to focus the debate over the ERA on its pro-abortion language as they attempt to energize their base in a state critical swing races in the New York City suburbs and in upstate.
Republicans, meanwhile, have focused on everything else that the amendment does. That includes its protections of transgender rights, an issue highlighted by former Rep. Lee Zeldin at a Monday appearance in the Capitol.

I think he did go to their college graduations. He was, at least, at Tiffany's a few years ago.
And Johnson is FOS.
Now that's funny. I'm sure he previously intended to attend the dinner, not the graduation (which apparently is at 7 p.m.). But now that he's made a huge thing of it in court, it'll look bad if he doesn't turn up for Barron.
It really is a thing. lol

Trump Skips Barron's Graduation for MN Event
In a surprising turn of events, Trump has decided to skip his son Barron's high school graduation on May 17th to attend a political event in Minnesota. This decision has sparked controversy and disappointment among his supporters, especially after Trump had previously expressed his disappointment over potentially missing the graduation due to a court appearance. The Minnesota GOP announced that Trump will be the keynote speaker at their Lincoln Day dinner on the same night as Barron's graduation, leading to speculation about Trump's priorities and the sincerity of his earlier complaints. The incident has left many questioning Trump's commitment to his family and his political ambitions, with some social media users expressing their disappointment and others finding humor in the situation.

The dog (puppy) was only 14 months old. Only shows stupidity and lack of any qualifications, emotionally or mentally to be a good pet owner, let alone be training one. If someone had the puppy before and was having trouble with it, the trouble was with those people and not anything to do with the puppy. If the character and intelligence of a person can't even be in charge of one of the most, maybe the most faithful and loyal of animals, says a lot to their abilities to be in charge of policy and governing of people. The mental act of being able to tie up a perfectly healthy dog, a friend and companion to her young children which she lies about being the opposite, and shooting it out of her own frustrations and bragging about it because she thinks it's a nice story for the cult says it all.
Noem shoots a puppy for being a puppy and then shoots the goat for being a goat. She had/has the money and available options to let professional dog trainers train any dog for hunting or for just a behaved pet and advise her in proper dog training techniques if that's what she was after. Her actions indicated different personal issues.
She probably still likes to tear wings off of flies just to see it suffer with a mentality level that can't even do that right.
At that dog age, even with the worse treatment or no training at all, could have been brought around to growing into a good dog, even a good hunter under a decent owner. That's just the way dogs are. Can't say the same about people like her, she's a lost cause.

Sorry, but she just isn't gong high enough.

Noem, 52, stressed that Commander, who was removed from the White House last fall following dozens of reports that he bit people, had presented safety issues to staffers and Secret Service agents.
fwiw, what I've read suggests that Commander was perfectly nice to staffers. He just didn't like Secret Service.
Does anyone know how old Cricket was when the Noem family adopted her? Kristi makes it sound like they had Cricket practically forever but then she also says another family had trouble with her before she was adopted? The whole story makes no sense and now she thinks Biden should have had Commander killed.
Kristi sounds the the perfect VP for Trump but even her lust for blood might be a little too far him.
Kristi Noem defends apparent threat to kill Biden’s dog Commander: ‘Say hello to Cricket’
South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem stood by a passage in her upcoming book in which she appeared to say she would also kill President Biden’s troubled dog Commander and quipped that the president pup would “say hello to” Cricket, pup she famously boasted about shooting.
Noem, 52, stressed that Commander, who was removed from the White House last fall following dozens of reports that he bit people, had presented safety issues to staffers and Secret Service agents.
“Joe Biden’s dog has attacked 24 Secret Service people. So how many people is enough people to be attacked and dangerously hurt before you make a decision on a dog?” Noem pondered on told CBS’ “Face the Nation” on Sunday.
The Biden White House announced that Commander was given away to relatives in February.

How The Right Wing Media Killed Its Own Audience To Own The Libs
The right wing or Republican media has long been engulfed in scandals. Fox “News” fired chairman Roger Ailes and top rated entertainer Bill O’Reilly after they paid out $40 million in settlements for sexual harassment. Fox paid a whopping $787 settlement to settle a lawsuit with Dominion Voting Systems after Fox falsely claimed that Dominion stole the 2020 election. Rush Limbaugh nearly lost his show in 2012 after he said he wanted to watch imaginary sex tapes of a graduate student who spoke out against GOP opposition to birth control.
The biggest right wing media scandal of all time was when they waged a campaign against the Covid-19 vaccine in 2021–22. For over a year, Fox’s highest rated entertainers waged a nightly sabotage campaign against the vaccination effort. In addition, Clay Travis and Buck Sexton waged a sabotage campaign on AM right wing talk radio. These are the entertainers who succeeded Rush Limbaugh.
The reason for the sabotage campaign was that the GOP wanted to prolong the pandemic in the hopes that it would hurt Joe Biden and the Democrats. The GOP opposed both mask and vaccine mandates. Trump refused to wear a mask because it would mess up his bizarre make up. And an integral part of the disinformation campaign was waged by the right wing media’s most popular entertainers. This campaign killed their own audience and possibly cost the GOP the 2022 elections.
What made Fox’s sabotage campaign especially outrageous was that 90% of Fox’s staff was vaccinated. The right wing network had a vaccine mandate for its employees. The entertainers who disparaged the vaccine rollout never mentioned it on their shows. In addition, Tucker Carlson refused to answer questions as to whether was vaccinated for Covid-19.
https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2024/5/6/2239188/-How-The-Right-Wing-Media-Killed-Its-Own-Audience-To-Own-The-Libs
Fox also sabotaged Biden’s vaccine rollout for ratings and profit. A Fox insider speaking anonymously said that the anti-vax commentary is “great for ratings,” and that’s what matters to the network’s owners and shareholders. All that mattered to them was that their elderly and vulnerable audience tuned in. Apparently, it didn’t matter to Fox if their audience died.
CNN — July 20, 2021:
“There’s no dispute that Fox News has been delivering to its audience, of which almost 60% is in the high-risk over-65 age group, dangerously misleading information about the Covid vaccine and its rollout by the Biden administration. A report released Friday by the liberal media watchdog group Media Matters documents that the majority of vaccine-related segments that Fox News aired over the past two weeks “repeatedly fearmongered about and downplayed the need for continued vaccination campaigns.
Carlson emerged as perhaps the nation’s foremost coronavirus vaccine skeptic, using his massive platform to argue that the vaccines are less effective and more dangerous than advertised and that his viewers should be deeply concerned about the campaign to get the public to take them.
Ingraham’s primetime show delves into many of the same themes and she is particularly focused on suggesting that the vaccines are useless by mocking prominent people who were infected despite being vaccinated.
Specifically, Media Matters found the between June 28 through July 11, “Fox News aired 129 segments about coronavirus vaccines. Of those, 57% included claims that either undermined or downplayed immunization efforts.
Even worse, Media Matters notes, “Thirty-seven percent of segments included claims suggesting that vaccines are unnecessary or dangerous.” Just one example cited was Fox News host Laura Ingraham, who on her show last week touted “natural immunity” over the Covid vaccine.”
Media Matters — March 7, 2023 :
“Clay Travis is a prolific purveyor of coronavirus misinformation. He has downplayed the severity of COVID-19, insisted effective precautions such as masks do nothing, and fearmongered about and denied the efficacy of vaccines.
Notably, Travis supported the baseless anti-vaccine conspiracy theory that there is an increase in cardiovascular complications in athletes tied to the COVID-19 vaccine.”
The right wing media’s campaign to sabotage the Covid-19 vaccine rollout was deadly effective. According to the Kaiser Foundation, 92% of Democrats were vaccinated, 68% of Independents, and 56% of Republicans.
As a consequence of the GOP’s sabotage campaign, a disproportionate number of Republican voters were killed by Covid-19.
The states with the highest COVID death rates in 2021:
1. Oklahoma
2. Alabama
3. W. Virginia
4. Arizona
5. Kentucky
6. Mississippi
7. Wyoming
8. Florida
9. Georgia
10. S. Carolina
Source: Johns Hopkins; U.S. Census; CDC
Trump carried 8 out of 10 of these states. None of them are blue states.
National Public Radio conducted a study and issued its findings on May 19, 2022:
“NPR examined COVID deaths per 100,000 people in roughly 3,000 counties across the U.S. from May 2021, the point at which most Americans could find a vaccine if they wanted one. Those living in counties that voted 60% or higher for Trump in November 2020 had 2.26 times the death rate of those that went by the same margin for Biden.
The scale of the preventable loss of life is staggering. According to a recent analysis by Brown University, nearly 320,000 lives nationwide could have been saved if more people had chosen to get vaccinated. The Brown analysis also shows a partisan split in how those preventable deaths are distributed. States that went most heavily for Trump — including Wyoming and West Virginia — have among the highest rates of preventable deaths, while states that voted heavily for Biden — such as Massachusetts and Vermont — had among the lowest. “
According to a 2023 Yale University study:
“Researchers from Yale University who studied the pandemic’s effects on those two states say that from the pandemic’s start in March 2020 through December 2021, excess mortality was significantly higher for Republican voters than Democratic voters after COVID-19 vaccines were available to all adults, but not before.”
Politico on December 8, 2022:
“Republicans accounted for about 80 percent more of the excess deaths than Democrats. Part of this is because of vaccine hesitancy; part of it is because of the age profile of voters.
Now there is evidence that the demographic change spurred by Republicans’ and Democrats’ divergent responses to the pandemic likely cost Republicans a number of key seats in the 2022 midterms. And the fallout, fueled by cross-country migration and even the Covid death toll, could linger into 2024 and beyond.”
Somebody made Donald Trump aware of the fact that his followers weren’t getting vaccinated and that it may cost him future elections. At an Alabama rally on August 22, 2021, Trump urged his followers to get vaccinated. He was loudly booed and quickly backtracked on that advice at the rally. Trump never talked about it again.
Another aspect of this scandal that is never mentioned is that elected Republican officials quietly stood by and took no actions to prevent the right wing media from killing their supporters. That is yet another indicator that Fox and the right wing entertainers on AM radio run the GOP. That is why the GOP is so extreme. As former George W. Bush speechwriter David Frum said: “Republicans originally thought Fox worked for us. Then we discovered that we work for Fox.”
Do you want the GOP in charge again? It is no coincidence that the last two Republican presidents led the United States into disaster. This is the direct result of the GOP’s bankrupt governing philosophy that rejects science, expertise and government itself. The Republicans like to tell us that government doesn’t work and then they wreck government in order to prove it.
Trump and the GOP are overrated by the pundits and the polls. Republicans are celebrating polls. Democrats are celebrating victories.
What's funniest is that Noem just can't seen to shut up about this.
I feel Kittle definitely knows those things. He noted her inabilities and lack of knowledge with animals throughout several passages with his first posts about it. Which had both heavy stupidity and bad animal owner overtones. Even called her reckless (being reckless is stupid). That was his main point in getting involved with the whole thing. The look that farmers and ranchers were like her, looking stupid and abusive to animals.
At least that's the way I read his analysis. I felt he had a pretty good understanding of it. if I was a juror listening to him explaining the way he did, I definitely would be having thoughts of lower intelligence and not very good with animals and a liar of course. Same thoughts with trump, which anyone who wants political power using him, mimics.
Noem has a few more issues than those two things, character flaws that show themselves with the actions taken. Pretty normal for most of the republicans now, places and names get changed to protect the guilty, but the theme and plan is always the same.
I consider Kittle pretty intelligent and not missing much.
.
The Face the Nation interview is hilarious. Kittle is, I think, a good person, but he doesn't understand the real problem, which is that Noem is 1) not good with animals, and 2) stupid.
Then from the Transcript yesterday of Noem’s interview on Face the Nation:
