I wouldn't mind learning more about scanners. I've heard about them, but haven't really researched them much. When you say "according to the type of play" you can program it for bottom plays, increased volume, etc?

I don't use any of that pay for service. I use a scanner that I customize according to the type of play I am looking for.

Is there really a trading program out there that works ? I get stuff in the mail all the time, come to our free seminars on this great stock/ day trading program/ software etc....
If MM's are using advanced trading software with level 3,4,5,6 or who knows what.lol are we just fooling ourselves?

I think that with pink stocks there seems to be a new conspiracy theory every week. lol I heard of so many mm tactics - some may be true and others are very much exaggerated. I know that a T trade is one that will be posted after the close (sometimes before open) of a trade that didn't post during intra trading hours. Whether it is deliberate or not I have no clue.

Cintrix is right, the best deal is with your broker. Depending on the amount of trades you do will determine the price. The more trades you do the cheaper if not free. Or if you have over 25k in your account sometimes it's free. But again depends on who you use.

Now that reverse split pennies are using the "D" after they reverse, there has been some confusion regarding the new symbol.

From Investopia:
How long does a stock that has done a reverse split keep the letter "D" at the end of its symbol?
This letter is generally attached to the end of the ticker for approximately 20 trading days before it's removed.

What broker are you using? I don't use any outside vendor for level II because I have Etrade and they give level II on both pinks and otc. For a lousy 30 trades per quarter (which isn't that much) they give you access to both Pro and Market Trader - they both come along with many other invaluable features. I use Etrade for their tools only - I do most of my trading through choicetrade.

Team, quick question. I am using equity feed and cannot figure out how they are calculating their X Day Moving Price Average. For example: AAAE, AAA Energy Inc Bid=0.0082, ask= .017, price = 0.0082. 5 day MPA = 0.93 and 15 day MPA is 0.95.

How do they calculate? or is it the slope of the line?

I have a bunch of cusips showing in my port from useless stock dividends of off-shoot companies throwing shareholders restricted shares. You said the symbol was tyeg. They were Tyche Energy Inc and are now Timberlake Energy Solutions Inc . On April 13, 2009 that company did a reverse split of 1:3000 shares and is now trading under the symbol TLKE. I'd say your dividend shares, that you probably got one share for every 6 you owned on 3/7/07, are pretty much worthless.

Hey folks..I have a question..Several years ago I was invested in a company. They started an offshoot company and as a result, I got several thousand free shares of this offshoot company. They were restricted for two years and were not free trading and they never became free trading. Well they sit in my stock account for these last several years with no stock symbol, but were for a company under the ticker tyeg. The company appears to be non existant now.
Anyway..I want to know two things.
1. Is this what you call an empty shell?
2. If this shell is ever bought my another company, will the shares have any value?

I have used a bunch of different brokers over the years - TD Ameritrade one of them. I have found good and bad with all of them. Etrade and Ameritrade are about the same but I have found that Etrade's tools for active traders is much better. They give you Pro and Market Trader for free if you make more than 30 trades per quarter. Ameritrade had better executions and I liked their customer service better than Etrade's. I now am down to two brokers - Etrade and Choicetrade. I use Etrade so I get the free tools and I do a good amount of trading with Choicetrade. They cost $5 per trade, their executions are pretty fast, when you call for customer service you aren't speaking to a robot who is following a script, and if an unfair trade happens they will fight for you to get it canceled.

My first advice to you would be: Do not invest in penny stocks, just trade them. No matter how good they sound, even if they have a cure for cancer, they are trading low for a reason. There is plenty of money to be made with them, but don't fall into the trap of reading too much about them and becoming a bag holder waiting for the day. Most of these companies have large outstanding and they keep getting larger because they dilute and some eventually reverse split. You will make more money if you buy up a bunch of shares and sell them on a couple of upticks. Don't be holding them. As far as sites, open up the Ibox of this board. A RT scan would be nice, and I have that with my iHub subscription in a way. I'd just like to be able to range search and real time isn't a requirement. The 30-35 cents per share was merely an example. I'm still crying over spending 0.375 on SUF.

By marketplace, I'd like to see a daily results listing with typical columns. Name;symbol;volume;open;close;etc... Say for instance, one were to build said spreadsheet in Excel, one could then sort that sheet by any header. I would like to find the same in real-time or at least EOD online so that I could sort by more than just the symbol, volume, %up/down, $up/down.

Basically, if I have $1000 and I would like to spend between $0.30 and $0.35/share, I'd like to find securities trading in that range and then use that list to do my DD.

That was the first time it happened to me. My broker, choicetrade, ended up waiving the fees for me. But, Etrade has stopped trading on any issues that the DTC has suspended. They actually allowed me to purchase these stocks and then pulled the plug on me and won't allow me to sell them. How they can legally do that is beyond me. I had asked choicetrade if they had a list and they said it changes often so they couldn't provide me with it. I do know that rvgd and ipwg are two I owned that I am in the process of transferring out of Etrade.
