Agree that the US markets are where Heritage should focus until cannabis tax relief takes place in Canada. Looking forward to seeing more and more higher margin US sales coming from MO, WV, and now NY. Looks like Heritage is off to a good start with $3.2 million in US sales, even with the initial raw material shortages in Missouri. Happy to hear this BIG news!!!! If Heritage can reproduce what they did in MO & WV on a much larger scale they could get a nice slice of the BIG Apple. If Heritage products are as popular in NY as MO then they could do really well. Glad to see Heritage is ready to ship product to Brazil pending Health Canada approval. Liking the move to establish long-term supply agreements with in country partners for stability. Another ground floor opportunity for Heritage like with other recent moves in Australia, WV, and MO. Smart move to look beyond Canada's currently over saturated cannabis market, but was happy to see Heritage increased gross margins even in this difficult environment in last weeks report. Like!!!
Excited to see the upcoming results of the new US revenue stream that really just got started in February. All reports from MO say cannabis sales are booming and cultivators and manufacturers are ramping up for the unexpected demand. So far Heritage RAD products have remained consistently in stock but not always in all size options. Tracking online inventory at the popular Cookies dispensary in St Louis shows RAD vapes and Pre-Rolls consistently in the top of their categories in popularity. Even more so at Heritage partner 3Fifteen Primo Dispensaries. So a BIG Congrats to the team on keeping their hit products in stock and popular with MO customers. Just a quick look at Heritage partner 3Fifteen Primo's website shows plenty of products available including RAD vapes. Looks like they were better prepared for legalization than some of their competitors. The Cookies Dispensary website shows RAD as the most popular live resin cart currently available. Didn't realize eight states border MO with only one high priced legal state as competition. Liking this Midwest opportunity more and more as news gets better and better. Like :)
Also liking the recent Brazil export opportunity. It appears that Brazil is currently medical only with almost all cannabis products imported. Seems like a good asset light opportunity to export Heritage products manufactured in-house to Brazil, or anywhere else they can make it work financially. To me limited license markets like Missouri are golden compared to unlimited license markets like Canada due to simple supply and demand factors. Currently you have 104 vape cart brands listed on the OCS. Compare that with only 16 vape cart brands listed at the popular Cookies dispensary in St Louis. Considering that Ontario recently reported $147 million in monthly sales compared to Missouri's first month $103 million, the opportunity is obviously bigger in Missouri for first movers like Heritage simply due to less competition. Cannabis companies are making bank in limited license Florida using the same basic model. Like :)
I expect with today's news of Missouri's neighbor Oklahoma voting down recreational cannabis even more people will be flocking to MO for cannabis tourism. Missouri is surrounded by states without rec availability, and dispensary owners are reporting lots of out of state tags. Missouri could turn into the Amsterdam of the mid west. Who would have expected Heritage to be the first LP to ship live resin to Australia. Much bigger Canadian LP's have tried and failed to crack this highly regulated market. This now goes along with Heritage selling the first Canadian THC products in the US achievement.
On that happy topic Missouri just announced first months cannabis sales exceeded $100 million dollars. This eclipsed much larger legal rec neighbor Illinois by more than double. Now some projections are for one billion in sales this year in MO. Like :)
Gives you a good picture of how big the legal rec market is in the US. One small states sales are equal to all of Australia. Great news that Heritage is already cash flow positive in the US. RAD currently has the two most popular vapes at the trendy celebrity owned Cookies Dispensary in St. Louis, including #1 Icy Fresh and #2 Something Fruity. RAD Live Resin Carts are also in the top tier of this category when sorted by popularity. Of course RAD products are doing very well in popularity at all Heritage partner 3Fifteen Primo Cannabis Dispensaries statewide. To me they are off to a fantastic start in Missouri that's just getting started.
Was also happy to see continuing growth in sales during a period of sales decreases for most cannabis companies. The major improvement in gross margins was good to see for sure. Discounting the end of year house cleaning write down of goodwill carried over from more exuberant times this report looks promising to me. What's important to me right now is top line growth in sales that build the brand while remaining fiscally prudent with every dollar on the way to profitability. Sounds like they got off to a great start with Heritage products available from the start. RAD Vape Carts are for sale now at all 3Fifteen Primo Cannabis Dispensaries statewide. They are also available at the one Cookies Dispensary in St Louis. This national chain has plans to grow in Missouri so hopefully Heritage products will be in all of them. Great work by the sales team getting products in a The Cookies Store.
