HGMG is smells like a winner

The Hastings Group purchased them a while back. Read the linked press release. A broker friend of mine researched this for me (out of his curiosity more than mine) and sent me the link. His own opinion was that is was interesting. I read some time ago online somewhere that they are a lean manu. firm. Unless this firm spins them off, this stock is stuck in a holding pattern IMO.

Not that it matters at this point as they are not public, but, wish they were- they just added a 3rd shift- company is very lean and mean and running on all cylinders. Wish they'd IPO...

Actually they were bought up by an investment group as part of the settlement to avoid going through the full BK proceedings and subsequently taken private. I can look later on tonite and see if I can piece it back together again like I did back in 12/06 when I started this thread <gg>

I see some 8K's where they delisted and refused to file 10K 10Q SEC reports but they stated in those filings they were going to be trading on the pink sheets. Generally one sees information on pink sheets when a company has filed for bankruptcy. Also there is no "Q" notation like seen with bankrupt stocks.

Can you find any public information that shows they went bankrupt or their assets were sold off?

I find it funny when this happens that the public company that was such a failure becomes such a success when it goes private.

In looking at the referenced web site it does give you the impression they may not be public as no reference to a stock symbol exists.

Does that leave the symbol as a pink shell then?

It went BK- assets were bought out- now privately held. I live just a few blocks from the place :-/ hence the lack of follow up in the ibox. Been trading phantom shares for past 3-4 years. Talked to the CEO one day and was telling him of the shares being traded and his reply was essentially that he's not sure who is trading shares but the shares being swapped are not theirs... Also, no, they are not contemplating going public at this time. To bad too, they are really going gang busters
