GOTTQ need to read http://wotnews.com/news/Gottschalks/"
Interesting from that PR back in Jan of 09'
It said it is considering "one or more options to create value for stakeholders,"including a possible sale of the business, and said it had negotiated $125 million worth of debtor-in-possession financing from a group of lenders led by GE Capital.
Looks like a tight float here. Took a position last week. Gonna see whats up with the BK process.

The back-up is coming

This company hasn't a chance in 17 lifetimes to become profitable. This is a dog with fleas.
General Electric Credit (GECC) filed with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court an objection to Gottschalks’ motion to enforce the D.I.P. financing order. The objection states that in seeking to compel GECC to turn over funds being held as security for the Debtor’s obligation under the final D.I.P. order, the Company ignores or misinterprets the plain terms of that order. According to GECC, the Court order, among other things, provides that all funds held by GECC constitute D.I.P. collateral that secure and are to be applied in reduction of all D.I.P. obligations and pre-petition obligations of the Company to GECC.
Getting close to the end?

MM´s playing games. Patience is the key here.
With some volume this could get very interesting IMO.
If August 24th has continued to be the deadline for creditor's to submit their claims, we could know more soon.
Good grief, 13,300,000 (the OS) times .10 a share is only $1,330,000. That's not that much to ask.
Hi Lefty18 I was reading the 8-K and noticed the Retained Earnings - Postpetition was (83,098) and I guess brackets mean negative. Can you explain that to me please. Thanks in advance.
Frankly speaking - it was me - "who kicked it up" because I needed instantly to increase the total value of my portfolio.
It looks like MM's shorting it
0.007*0.008 an easy profit of $$ every day
STILL ALIVE????????????????????!!!!!!!!! WE KICKED IT UP 67% TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
UHHHHHHHHHHHH YEH.............WE'RE ALIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIVEEEE!!!
are we still alive here? I already wrote this off as a stupid investment.
well....well...welll.....what have we here this morning??? up movement???? LOL cant be !!!!
Hey at this point I'm glad to hear that someone with the company said that it was still possible. That's great news. This is a company with a great history. Maybe they'll finish with a great gift to shareholders. At this point .25 cents a share would be fantastic.
I talked to her too and her reaction was less positive but with me anyway she was lumping in bankruptcies of this nature she was familiar with, not so much this one in particular.
That's excellent news Phil. So excellent in fact that I will divulge that the lawyer handling the case wasn't very optimistic that there would be anything left for shareholders.
Maybe she was just being cautious. It will be a very pleasant surprise if she's wrong.:)
Creditor's making claims against Gottschalks need to have them in to, a suppose the court, by then. That is what I was told.
phil, refresh me what that date is significant of?
Alright I'm going to say it. Note, there can be no gaurantees of anything as we all know but the rep from GOTTQ I talked to gave me the impression that they DID expect there to be a payout to shareholders.
No he didn't say that there would be a payout so it's not inside information.
I suspect he has a decent idea of how much money they will have to work with but doesn't yet have all the claims, something they're suppose to have by August 24th.
Maybe I admitted it because misery loves company!
It's hit .005 before once in a while.
Certainly you need a steel stomach for "Q" suckers and at least
a possibility of a 50-100 bagger to make it edible to consider investing here.
lol.... not sure why you would admit that.
all i know it was a rather horrendous day. again.
looks like a pretty strong not en vogue day today too, phil.
Unfortunately BK stocks are not in vogue at the moment but when that changes there's going to be a lot of BK stock deals, including this one.
dont seem like too many people are thinking 6.95 book value is even close.
not a great day, certainly
Deadline for creditor claims filing is August 24th. I was told by management they could know after that more or less how much money will be available for shareholders. He had no estimates.
thanks, i have my nose near your dogs' rear on one of them, so dont feel bad.
The longer I play in the market makes the less I know. About 2 weeks ago,I said the two hottest Q s are eddie baurer and got chalks.Geezzz! My dog could have picked 2 better ones. LOL
phil, the shareprice and late performance certainly
is not reflecting that mindset. with the 6.95 in mind, i would think we should be 50x where we are now, and still
substantially under that suggested book value. not sure why we are being held back.
"Book value can be thought of as what would be left over for shareholders if a company shutters operations, pays off its creditors, collects from its debtors, and liquidates itself."

Gottq's book value according to Yahoo key statistics is $6.95 a share.
Nice day for the markets. It would be nice if it came our way. Incase anyone's interested, I can also be found at BNXR's new board. http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/board.aspx?board_id=4609
I don't see any.
>Do we have any new court filings/information??
Walmart's Y ahoo board is a retailer board that is particularly active. I think it could be helpful if we posted about GOTTQ there every 30 - 60 minutes.
