My understanding: They go to a value of zero
What happens to common shares?
~CH 11 BK Filed, I think it's somewhat factored in, well see.....
Pending tender offer (which doesn't look to be going through as planned) and in line for restructure plan (similar to paragon offshore) if the tender offer fails. I'm in deep @ .45 average so I'll be right here on the sidelines hoping for similar PGN restructure spike.
Every single oil stock is +20- 35% on the heels of CHK's news. Even bankrupt EXXI & LINN. So, why is there zero pin action here?
It's extremely hard not to be greedy in trading. It requires major discipline and research to do well and to be consistent. That's why I do it as a hobby and rely on my career to take care of the family, take vacations, buy a few toys and pay the bills, of course.
I was right there with you. I bought in at $0.25 before the delist. I should have taken my profit right before Christmas when it ran to over $0.30s for a couple thousand....I got greedy.
Being smart in trading pink companies is over-rated. I just knew they were struggling with the their debt and bond holders and exited before the financial restructuring officially begun. I was buying before they were delisted from the NYSE, so you know what peril I was in with my decision to invest in this company.
I'll use the hit to settle some tax obligations. Unfortunately I wasn't as smart as you and was hesitant to dive back into oil. I'm still upside down on GST. I thought I got in a the floor.......I was wrong lol. Oh well, no ones perfect. And GST is running, so I might even make a quick buck.
Smart move, sorry for your loss. I got out 2 weeks ago and took a big loss too at that time, but that loss turned into substantial gains when I put my money into stocks that are following the price of oil like DNR and actually have a decent balance sheet. Just about every O&G company is substantially rising in pps with this latest run in oil, except this waste of a stock/company.
Well I'm out today at a $6,000 overall loss. Good luck to anyone still holding out hope
Good question. Does anyone know?
Is there any plus side left in this after today's news?
I was thinking the same. Gdp is one I've been in and out of for years though it's quite the different monster down here in penny land. Still follows right along with wti price just as always though.

NICE bid at $.79! 146k. That will be a tough wall to break through. Glad someone else sees the same buying opp here that I do.
Yes I can understand that . Just keep an eye on the lawsuites but they may be ok as I havent ckd back on them and how they are going lately.
ok... moved my gambling funds from GDP into SDOC - looks like a better table for now.
Check out MEMP This company Memorial , has been buying up wells in CARTHAGE TEXAS AND Henderson...way undervalued ..
Yes - I'm out - did not sound good, no new numbers discussed -so I would assume the deal is crashing - I mean why not bring good news into the call? More of a plea than an update. Anyway, hope it works out for everyone - moving my money elsewhere - managed to get out on the up.
Did you happen to catch that 10am call? I've been overseas with no internet for 2 days..
Get out while you can....recover something.
Your title is a bit misleading
GDPM filing Bankruptcy and Shareholders options
"Goodrich said it has already launched an offer to exchange all of its outstanding unsecured notes and preferred stock for its common stock. If the exchange offers are not taken up, the company said it would likely file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.
A bankruptcy would wipe out holders of unsecured notes, preferred and common stock, as it has pledged its assets as collateral to its secured bondholders"

True. Good luck.
Risky, but you could average down at current levels - I'm sure a lot are or have been. Call at 10AM tomor. should drop some hints as to what is happening for the 14th and beyond - still think we should see $40 / barrel for Fri. - it touched on that yesterday briefly. Depending on tomorrows news (and oil price to Fri) we should hopefully get closer to 50 cents for Fri.- If the SH deal collapses we`re back to square one. Day by day for now.
I got in at .55, would be nice to get out even. Lucky ones got in at .055 but that was a gamble.
SDOC did the same recently with no effect - SP up dramatically - it's not a default (30 day grace) if the restructuring plan goes through and GDP avoids BK. So far so good - tomorrows conference call should be telling - as well as the price for oil. SP could go either way on this - depends how many have the jitters. I thought they would reserve this until the 14th meeting - it's a bit of cat & mouse going on - I'm sure it's all strategy.
Thanks - you as well.
Best of luck to you. I got a out 1.5 weeks ago and put that money to work in some other O&G high risk low pps stocks (SDOC, PVAH) and they are reaping similar if not higher rewards as of late. I listened to the last conference call and the CEO sounded sincere in trying to save his company/name. That's why I still follow it. I hope it works out for the company and you.
Thought I heard / read Mr. Goodrich proclaim a $40 threshold in order for GDP to make a positive turnaround - we are nearing that now (Fri. or prior at 40 is my guess) - with that being said, March 14th news/meeting should be an easy sell to shareholders that continue to holdout - the light at the end of the tunnel is no longer a fast approaching train. Friday afternoon (2PM) oil price will dictate whether I sell or hold - for now I will ride it up to the 50 cent mark (personal prediction only)- so far so good.
Why do you say it will go through....just because of the mood in energy/oil switching to being optimistic? Or is there some news or comments in the media saying so?
Looks as though the deal will go through as well (March 14/15) - should see 50 cents + by weeks end is my guess - next week who knows ? back over $1 perhaps?
~Still Holding Free Shares here. Wish I held ALL!
GREAT MOVE HERE.
$GOODRICH
I got into GDP at 7 cents - so far so good - Sandridge is another hot potato which has a potential class action chasing it as well right now (both GDP and SD are super high risk buys - either could go BK) - GDP seems to be working directly with shareholders (it's a more organized mess) whereas SD seems to be dictating what it will and won't do. Shareholders are kept up to date with GDP (I know exactly what is going on week to week)SD, not so much - not saying SD is not worth a few hundred being plunked down on it - I may take some winnings from GDP and move it to SD(I think GDP will run up until the shareholders meeting on the 14th - after that? ...depends on the news on the 15th) GDP has specific dates I can work with - SD is just floating around aimlessly for now (until the 14th at least, I'll hold GDP and keep a close eye on SD) I've had some lucky breaks recently so anything here is a nice bonus right now.
