KATX - Good morning all, I hope it's OK to post this here. I just want to bring KAT Exploration to your attention. This is a junior explorer in Newfoundland with the following VERY near term opportunities...
1. Drilling about to start NEXT WEEK on its Handcamp gold claim (gold of up to 158g/t have been discovered in sample analysis. This ios very high)
2. The company is currently pinksheets Current status with an ungagged T/A and plans to uplist
3. A very high powered Wall Street Attorney firm has just been appointed. Now why would a small explorer stuck way up in Newfoundland need such a high powered attorney?
4. The O/S has just been massively increased. Normally we don't want dilution, right? But this time it appears it's because there is a joint venture deal (possibly with the world's secondlarget mining company VALE) about to be struck. The CEO has all the financing he needs and has previously stated on record that the only increase in the future would be to satisfy a major JV partnership. JVs with mining companies are what junior explorers exist for. A JV would be huge for KATX!
I could go on, but best to visit the KATX board yourself if you're interested! The iBox, stickies and general posts are very informative. http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/board.aspx?board_id=15632
Good luck to all.
Rick
TEMN - a good value penny bottom. Great potential. Check it out.
Mike
Whomever still following this sleepy MB, you might wish to take a look at GNPG. For more:
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=48801010
PS: I'm mostly with larger caps these days (simply because of lock of time), but when the opp arives as it's the case with GNPG, I sure jump on it.
Mike
My advice to you - check out the past business practices of these two con-men - the Gelmon brothers.
Tks, but no tks.
Mike
ck out SSHS Mike; great company; low float; near 52wk low pps; great potential;
Tks, I got them in the low (mostly 3) triple zero's. Sold a few of them and might keep the others for a bit longer.
Mike
Take a look at IDTA. There is a ton going on behind the scenes and with the little dip in price it may be a great opportunity to pick up some. Just a heads up.
-Mash
Re: MLXO - you might have something there. On the The positive site they do not have a history of R/S's. Tks, I'll check it out. On the negative side, right now, all I see is a fluffy PR promising that they are going to re-open the plastic facility sometimes next year. I'll like to see what kind of money they can secure to do that, and under what conditions.
Mike
Got rid of EYII & DLAD. Was lucky to get in both these two things at the bottom, so I took my profit out.
Mike
Any thoughts on EYII. I know you had looked at that one a few weeks back. Also DLAD was one that you had been looking at but it seems like that thing has been done for ages. Lastly a new one to consider MLXo, seems to be getting a ton of attention lately. Any thoughts. Thanks in advance.
-Mash
Thanks Dave. At a first look it looks good, although from what I see, a very small gross margin won't allow a positive net earning. I'll check it more tonight.
Mike
GWOW 3.7M OS/12M AS. Float 500,000! .032 x .05 More volume today @ the ask. Friday 15k went through @ the ask. Time to move up!
GVPB's Progress Report:
1. WNYN - on the move

1.2 iHub MB:
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/board.aspx?board_id=8017
2. AAGH @ CAAH, near bottoms - expected to start moving, IMO.
3. UDHI - waiting for the next leg-up.
4. DWIS - bottom, not yet known, expecting to be discovered, and then based on the recent news (that did nothing to the price or volume) it should start moving fast.
5. Renewable Energy stocks, might still continue to drop for a while, but not for too long. The oil price is still on the ascendent slope, and if as expected it continues to grow, the renewable energy stocks (especialy Solar PV) shall start to see again a nice price growth. If so, I'm looking for good entries on some of them. If anyone is interested in it, I could post here my picks when the time will come.
Note: Enough for now! Amasing is that the boardmarks increased since I last posted here, from below 20 to 47! If enough interest exists, and with some needed help, we can revisit the i-Box, and revive this GVPB's MB. I'm applying the idea for several years, and it works very well.
Mike
Good 2 see you are still looking into GVPB's. UDHI made a partial move, but @ a Price/Sales of about 0.4, it's still way undervalued, IMO. WNYN, and CAAH are not yet discovered by investors, but the strong 10-Q results I expect will catch some people attention, and once that happen these two gems should start making their well deserved upward move.
PS: When, and if you come accross some other GVPB's, please post about them here.
Mike
thanks for the update Mike. I still own most of my WNYN and UDHI positions. Never got into CAAH.
WNYN @ 0.008, a not yet discovered puppy! Based on the last 10-Q (see today's, May 22, PR) this is, IMO, a worth looking into it over the weekend. Just to give you a flavor of it:
Highlights of the financial results for the last quarter (Q3/05-15-2009): (Source: May 22 PR)
Book Value: $ 3,302,214 (last 10-Q, May 15)
OS: 340,579,815 (last 10-Q, May 15)
-- Ten consecutive quarters of positive net income
-- Net Income of $140,095 is the third highest in Company's history
-- Gross Margin holding at greater than 90%
-- A 93% reduction in long term debt since prior year
-- The nine month (net) income rose 46% to $360,132 compared to $247,462 for the prior year before a provision for income tax of ($168,126)
-- Increase in working capital to $1,096,107, compared to $400,205 for the prior year.
What the CEO is saying: "our fiscal discipline over the last couple of years has left the company with a strong cash position and little debt, allowing us to continually make the necessary investment in sales and marketing required to win customers and grow our core business."
See also: UDHI & CAAH, which also reported on May 15 good 10-Q's. For a decent basic DD on these three undiscovered puppies, that are three of my penny favorites, go to those iHub MB's.
PS: If anyone still checks out this MB, please let me know... for I hate to talk to myself!
Mike
UDHI, WNYN @ CAAH - should report 10-Q's tomorrow. Check them out!
Mike

My take on it
!. For the last SEC released 10-Q's, one clearly can see the bottom line (net revenue) improvement trend:
http://finance.yahoo.com/q/is?s=BNYN.PK
2. The estimated $3.6 (+) MM gross revenue, as compared to the last 10-Q's numbers show without doubt that BNYN started to turn the corner.
3. A gamble worth taking, IMO, and here's why: Should the bottom line follow the same trend as the gross revenue, this could become one of the 2009 strong pink stock performers. Practically speaking, BNYN stands a good chance to reward today's entrants (@ 0.0002) with a 100 (+) MOMO, and a 200 (+) MOMO for 0.0001 lucky entrants, respectively.
Mike
Yes, DPDW looks good. Price/Sales ratio is 0.72 right now, and it could go to at least 1.5, short time. Growing opperations, and improving the bottom line margin, would make this a good long-term bet. I'll be looking for an entry point in the near future.

Deep Down Expands Sales Organization
Friday April 3, 2009, 11:58 am EDT
Buzz up! Print Related:Deep Down, Inc.
- Michael J. Newbury Named Corporate Business Development Manager -
HOUSTON, April 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Deep Down, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: DPDW - News) today announced it has expanded its sales organization to support the substantial growth the Company is experiencing.
Since 2006, the Company has significantly increased its product and service offerings, and has successfully entered several key growth segments of the deepwater market. As a result, Deep Down has more than quadrupled its revenue and tripled its workforce. In response to this rapid growth, the Company has hired Mr. Michael J. Newbury as Corporate Business Development Manager, and Mr. Matthew Todd for corporate sales, to further support its offshore corporate business development activities.
Mr. Newbury brings to Deep Down more than 19 years of experience and relationships in offshore business development, sales and marketing, and subsea service project support. Before joining Deep Down, Mr. Newbury held various business development and operational positions with such companies as Subsea 7, Halliburton Subsea, Subsea International, and Subsea Offshore Limited. Mr. Newbury's main areas of focus over the past eight years have been in offshore business development, tendering, and contract negotiation.
Mr. Todd is formerly from Global Industries where his responsibilities included business development for installation services, dive support, and ROV services in the Gulf of Mexico. Mr. Todd will initially focus on mobilizing Deep Down's fleet of light and medium class electric ROVs on offshore platforms, drill rigs, and vessels, thereby offering its customers lighter and lower-cost ROV support services.
"We hired Mike and Matt to help us make the most of our rising offshore sales and business development opportunities," commented Bradley M. Parro, Deep Down's vice president of operations. "They will be responsible for enhancing our global reach and marketing our entire scope of subsea services and technologies to both new and existing customers. This strategic move is designed to maximize exposure of Deep Down's products and services to the growing deepwater and ultra-deepwater exploration and production markets."
"Mike brings important international experience to Deep Down as well, having worked and lived in most major oil producing regions of the world, including the Gulf of Mexico, South America, North Sea, Asia, and Oceania," commented Ronald E. Smith, Deep Down's president and chief executive officer. "He is well-known and respected within our industry, and is a perfect addition to Deep Down's global sales effort. Matt will be instrumental in demonstrating that, with ROVs, sometimes 'less-is-best,' especially when accompanied by an improved suite of ROV tools. Our ROV services fill a very important gap in deepwater projects."
About Deep Down, Inc.

Deep Down's proven services and technological solutions include distribution system installation support and engineering services, umbilical terminations, loose-tube steel flying leads, distributed and drill riser buoyancy, ROVs and ROV tooling, as well as marine vessel automation, control, and ballast systems. Deep Down supports subsea engineering, installation, commissioning, and maintenance projects through specialized, highly experienced service teams and engineered technological solutions. The company's primary focus is on more complex deepwater and ultra-deepwater oil production distribution system support services and technologies, used between the platform and the wellhead. Deep Down provides these services through its four subsidiaries. By all way, do it. MOBL is right now a very good gamble in my books (Just loaded an additional 9 MM there), but if you have the funds, one have to diversify. Whatever you decide, you should go yourself through the pain of a good DD. Remember, no pain, no gain! Although some of the info in the i-Box here may be outdated, if you are a beginner, you may wish to look into it as I've done it with the newbies in mind.
Mike
Thanks Mike =)
I will check into them.
Someone asked me about some of my holdings. You may want to check out my previous post. Hand picked, after going through the pain of doing quite of bit of DD on each of them. No pain, no gain I allways say.
Mike
"AMn777," here you are (in this order):
1. SOFN - 10-K due soon. Check out the oustanding finances for a stock sitting @ 0.0005 right now.
2. CAAH - same as above. This started to move from the 0.007 where I first got in, but I believe it is way undervalued, and per my valuation can easily reach 0.1/share soon. For a decent DD go to that iHub MB.
3. WNYN - 9 consecutive Q's of positive net revenue, and enough cash in the bank to satisfy its growing opperaations (12 open employement positions) w/o the need to borrow any money. Problem is the company does not put out maintenance PR's. See that MB.
4. UDHI - already positive net revenue, and expanding opperations. It, however, recently got into pink stocks in order to save SEC filling related money. Still keeping the sh's updated with the progress. See the MB.
5. DWIS - no volume as of late, but the first PR should move it fast, IMO.
6. TLCO - any news should move it.
7. Gambling on hand picked triple zeros: BNYN, RVGD, NAYN & UNVC.
8. Solar power stocks had less than 2 weeks ago their new bottoms, and started to move again (e.g., my ESLR, STP, and SOLR, are all up close to 50% since I got in again recently). ESLR, and most of the other PV stocks should still have enough upward move, IMO.
Enough for now. My other stocks are: (i) either already made their move (e.g., TONJ, and PQ) - and I'm thinking to get out soon, or (ii) are still not quite clear to me if they are worth at this time (e.g., ISON - altough I'm some 300% up on this one)
Mike
It's all good, just thought I'd throw it out there....
Re: GTHR - Tks "basssque." Based on a first look at it, I'm not impressed. No proven revenue, large debt & rather high OS.
Tks anyway,
Mike
I really like GTHR as a bottom play right now, great potential, low float
UDHI - do your DD over the wewekend. I expect some action next week. New bottom today @ 0.0023. 10-Q is out & it is good:
UDHI 0.00, 0.00, -8.0%) -- http://www.uniondentalcorp.com/ir -- announced today with the filing of their 10-QSB to the Securities & Exchange Commission a profit for the 3rd Quarter with increased profits for both the 3-months and 9-months ending Sept. 30, 2008. In the Consolidated Statement of earnings for the three months ended September 30, 2008, the Company reported a profit of $197,231 with revenues of $519,200 as compared to a profit of $38,988 with revenues of $566,497 for the same period in 2007. For the nine months ended September 30, 2008, the Company generated profits of $24,744 as compared to a loss of $809,001 for the same period in 2007.
Mike
PDGT - the new fast mover. See why:
http://www.knobias.com/individual/public/quote.htm?ticker=PDGT
Mike
Re: WNYN - That's a common practice, even for large companies. I agree, however, that the wording could be a bit better. Important is that we know that in this troubled financial times the company is making real progress, and having enough cash for sustaining opperations does not make it dependent on banks. To me is all that matters.
Mike
WNYN - some of the net income is deferred tax finagle.
I just wish they had included a follow-on sentence to the effect of "Even without the deferred tax benefit, net income was almost $900,000 compared to a year-ago loss".
WNYN - 10-K, and PR alert. To me this stock is one of the best representative of what I call a GVPB. See below today's PR, then the 10-K, do your PR, and decide.

LED lighting is indeed going to replace the incandescent bulbs in the near future. Adding the ZigBee control is a plus.
However, due to frequency alocation delays, and overstated progress reports by the ZigBee association, ZigBee has lost most of its early investor enthusiasts. With or without ZigBee, the LED lighting is going to become a big business, especially in Europe and Asia. Already many big names are crowding the opportunity. Question is weather or not TransAKT will manage to attract enough funding to start mass production. The letter to shareholders (see the extract below) is not very convincing. Neither is the luck of 2008 revenue statements.
Thanks for the alert though; I'll keep an eye on it.
Mike
-----------------
TransAKT is planning to introduce a sample of our ZigBee module in September 2008, and to deliver pilot run samples to potential customers in December 2008. Delivery of mass produced products is expected to begin in the second quarter of 2009.
We are ready to introduce LED lighting in North America, subject to the availability of capital funding for our new operations and the company will be happy to discuss these projects with interested parties.
WNYN - 10-K expected early next week. Some group is polaying games with it. Thanks 2 them one can get some cheap shares, the way I just did. Check it out:

CruiseCam Receives Increased Orders for InCar Camera Mounts
Tuesday , July 15, 2008 09:00ET
BIRMINGHAM, MI -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 07/15/08 -- CruiseCam International, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: CCMJ) is pleased to announce additional orders placed by Driver's Alert for CruiseCam products.
This second order by Driver's Alert represents an increase of 40% over their initial order. This current order is for 1500 short mounts, 50 long mounts and 150 Pro-Stabilizers.
Scott Watkins, Pres. and CEO of CruiseCam International, Inc. stated that, "We are very pleased to report that an increasing number of retail stores and web based sale sites are now carrying our merchandise. In particular, the short mounts which sell for $44.95 have proved to be increasingly popular with major equipment supply stores such as Filmtools in Burbank , CA , a favored location for the semi-pro and professional videographer. We will also be expanding our sales into chief markets such as Toronto, Canada, and locations in the Northeast market of the U.S. Additionally, we have met with some of the largest equipment dealers in the motion picture industry who have shown an enthusiastic interest in our array of products.
In addition to our first-level mounts we have begun selling the Pro-Stabilizer which has an excellent appeal for the professional user. While substantially stronger than the short mounts, they are very simple to install and do not require any special tools. The real benefit with Pro-Stabilizers, like all CruiseCam products, is that no damage is done to the interior of the vehicle. This proves to be of particular interest to those using high-end vehicles in movies and commercials where returning these vehicles in perfect shape is extremely important and cost effective to the production," said Watkins.
CruiseCam has also begun to receive video footage from customers who are responding to the "Get your Video on TV" offer in our product packages. All CruiseCam products come with a registration form that allows buyers to submit video taken with our video products. This is done with the intention of utilizing customer supplied content in our TV marketing campaign. We are proceeding with our negotiations to create some content from our customers on certain TV spots. Once we have reached a sufficient amount of quality footage we'll be able to organize our first "CruiseCam Real TV" show.
As mentioned in our last press release, CruiseCam's share structure remains unchanged.
Finally, CruiseCam has received a report which the company requested from a retail industry consultant, and a former purchasing agent for Kmart whose report estimates that with projected market penetration by CruiseCam's mount products, revenues should reach approximately seventy million dollars ($70,000,000) annually. "We anticipate to reach that annual goal over the next 24-36 months,"[/b[ stated Watkins.

1. Thoughts: - A well picked penny stock could provide an ROI (return on investment) hundreds of times greater than on any larger market investment. - But, one has to have a good understanding of penny stock trading; risks involved (BK, R/S, etc.) and follow some basic rules, and apply lots of common sense.
1.1 For the beginners: http://www.investorshub.com/boards/hub_grps.asp http://www.21stcenturyinvestoreducation.com/page/tce/?sid=1082061020.9460 http://www.stockpatrol.com/archive.php?id=1 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0812043006/002-5113674-4344040?v=glance&n=283155 http://www.investopedia.com/university/mergers/mergers4.asp or you can run your own Google (or whatever) using, for instance: "penny stock investors," "penny stock firms," "penny stock market," "penny stock companies," "penny stock company," "pink sheet stocks," "penny stock fraud," "one market maker," "penny stocks," cited in the above site.

1.1.5 Learn all you can about those pseudo companies that make a good living (using your money) printing Billions of shares: http://i1img.com/images/today/cartoons/620.gif
1.1.6 Learn about the industry your stock belongs to: http://biz.yahoo.com/p/industries.html If you don’t understand the business, and especially if the company is heavily promoted by those many shameless crooks, you better stay out. For educational purposes, you might want to follow the future “XSNX” saga, that being in my direct area of expertise, I can alert you with a large degree of certainty that it’s one of the biggest scams (fakes) since Enron.
1.1.7 Worth reading technical newsletters (free subscription): http://www.wealthdaily.net/newsletters/mar06/032806.php http://www.bpm-today.com http://www.mckinseyquarterly.com/newsletters/topten/2006_Q1.htm http://www.nature.com/nams/svc/myaccount http://www.newsfactor.com (I'll add more, in time; suggestions welcomed)
1.1.8 Pump-and-Dump schemes: http://www.sec.gov/investor/pubs/pump.htm
2. GVPB Scope: Finding undervalued OTC:BB (OB) stocks that have:
* A Price/Sales < 1 (the lower, the better). If anything above a P/S ratio of 1, it better be good, otherwise you are in violation of the basic rule of GVPB
* Proven Revenue & positive Book Value
* Aggressive Y over Y (YOY), and Q over Q (QOQ) growth
* Already EPS positive (or close to it)
* Low OS; and low Float (insiders own and keep/buy more shares)
* No previous R/S history over the last several years
* For a reason or another sitting at or near the bottom.
3. GVPB Board Rules:
- Your picks should generally abide by the above criteria. You only should post the alert on your choice after at least you did a basic DD on it. If you own the stock for a while, only post the alert when you honestly believe it has approached its near bottom.
- No spamming, hyping, pumping, or bashing. Furthermore, this IS NOT a chat room.
- Discussions should be short, at the subject, and objective. Anyone can (and is encouraged) to post any documented (you should provide a link) positives, negatives and personal opinions on any stock, w/o any restriction. If you have a good reason to believe our choice is a scam, please let the rest of us know why. You might be right.
- No aggressive language, or personal attacks allowed. - Try avoiding pinkies. In my experience, on average they are too risky, and a decent DD on them it’s a tough job most of the time.
- Experienced investors (traders) encouraged to provide pertinent, honest, short answers to the new comers. Avoid taking advantage of their naivety, and/or inexperience. Always remember, we’ve all been there once.
4. Choosing Good Value Penny Bottoms
4.1 You can either go with all those many newsletters, usually charging you a fee, and/or tooting a stock they already have and they want to get rid of (pump-and-dump schemes). In this case, this board might not be your best choice. For you, something like this might work better: http://peterleeds.com/picks.htm, http://www.tipreporter.com/ http://www.wealthdaily.net/ or choose from: http://206.26.195.200/showstopperstocks/?t
PS: Try avoiding pump-and-dump sites like this: http://www.stockwire.com/blog.htm. Whatever sounds almost too good to be true, it’s usually just that (best example: the XSNX scam)
4-2 Find them yourself, at or near the bottom. This, in my experience, although very time consuming, and painful, it’s the ONLY good way to go. If you indeed intend to make some money, you have to accept the pain of doing yourself a decent DD on anything you pick. “No pain, no gain,” I always say.
4-3 Where to find them: * Best (direct) source, IMO: http://www.marketwatch.com/tools/marketsummary/screener.asp?exchange=118&view=5&lookup=Look+.... Note: If you are following the above, or any other OTC:BB market screening tool, in my experience, on average you would expect to only find a good one once a week, or so. This takes much work.
4.4 Several other good market screening tools (you should be aware that some of them involve hyping, and other pump/dump schemes): http://news.moneycentral.msn.com/process/insider/top10insider.asp http://www.otcbbtrader.com/portal/goto.dll?cat=110 http://www.globalpennystocks.com/?ABCDEFGH http://www.wallstreetreporter.com/ http://screen.yahoo.com/stocks.html http://www.worldtradestocks.com/pages/732989/ http://www.petroleumstocks.com/markets_WinnersAndLosers.asp?losersorwinners=losers http://www.allpennystocks.com/apsc/us/hot_otc_bb_penny_stocks/index.htm http://www.investorguide.com/news-and-commentary.cgi
4.5 Choose from, and follow some of the sites below as often as you can: http://www.americanbulls.com/ http://www.allpennystocks.com/apsc/us/index.htm http://www.otcbb.com/asp/default.asp http://www.otcpicks.com/quotes/CANM.php http://www.stockgrid.com/ http://pennymarkets.com/ http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/pennypicks/ http://www.talkaboutinvestments.com/group/alt.invest.penny-stocks/ http://www.pennyinvestor.com/oldnews.htm http://www.winningstockpicks.net/?f http://www.stockprowler.com/ http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/OTCplayers/ http://host.businessweek.com/businessweek/Historical_Quotes.html?Button=Get+Quotes&Format=0&.... http://www.wallstreettape.com/ http://www.thestockster.com/
4.6 http://www.investopedia.com/stock-analysis/052213/after-big-recovery-rally-its-renew-blue-best-buy-bby-hgg-amzn-wmt-hd.aspx
5. Basic DD (the duty of the person posting the alert) Before posting an alert on a potential GVPB, please make sure most of the criteria in paragraph 2 are met. For a first look at your choice, you can use: http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=wnyn.OB Check out, at least: the Profile (# of employees, etc); the Basic Chart; Key Statistics; Insider Transactions, and Finances. If the criteria (especially the P/S<1 requirement are met), you can post your alert.
6. Advanced GVPB DD, Opinions and Discussions. If good enough, this should be a team effort.
6.1 1. Suggested DD - Example [/b http://www.pinksheets.com/quote/filings.jsp?symbol=tewi
Charts: StockCharts.com: http://stockcharts.com/freecharts/gallery.html?TEWI (2.2) Barchart.com: http://quotes.barchart.com/texadv.asp?sym=tewi
(3) Basic DD:
(3.1) Latest PR's (read at least the last 10 to see the trend), insiders’ activity, Y over Y, and Q over Q financials, etc.: http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=tewi.OB (3.2) Key Statistics (including Price/Sales ratio, book value, OS @ Float, etc): http://finance.yahoo.com/q/ks?s=TEWI.OB

(6) Maintenance-type DD:

7. Team Effort. All of us, working as a team, can put together a MB that would help all those visiting GVPB: whether experienced, or beginners. A good DD takes a team effort. Some additional sites for a good DD:
7.1 Momentum: http://www.otcbb.com/asp/tradeact_mv.asp?SearchBy=issue&Issue=wnyn&SortBy=volume&Month=2....
7.2 Search for news:[/b] http://search.yahoo.com/search?fr=ush-groups&p=gdvi http://tools.thestreet.com/tsc/quotes.html?osymb=wnyn&pg=qcn&timer=&symb=gdvi&go_btn.... http://investorshub.com/boards/quotes.asp?ticker=IVGA&qm_symbol=wnyn&symbol=wnyn http://tools.thestreet.com/rmy/quotes.html?pg=qcn&symb=WNYN
7.3 Internet search. On can use any good (e.g., Google) search engine for the company, its top Mgmt (CEO, CFO), and their past history. You might find something that doesn’t sound right.
7.4 Retail and Institutional Investors: http://thomson.finance.lycos.com/lycos/iwatch/cgi-bin/iw_ticker?ticker=vfin 7.5 Level II – (if you don’t already have it): http://www.otcbb.com/asp/Info_Center.asp
