LED lighting is indeed going to replace the incandescent bulbs in the near future. Adding the ZigBee control is a plus.

However, due to frequency alocation delays, and overstated progress reports by the ZigBee association, ZigBee has lost most of its early investor enthusiasts. With or without ZigBee, the LED lighting is going to become a big business, especially in Europe and Asia. Already many big names are crowding the opportunity. Question is weather or not TransAKT will manage to attract enough funding to start mass production. The letter to shareholders (see the extract below) is not very convincing. Neither is the luck of 2008 revenue statements.

Thanks for the alert though; I'll keep an eye on it.

TransAKT is planning to introduce a sample of our ZigBee module in September 2008, and to deliver pilot run samples to potential customers in December 2008. Delivery of mass produced products is expected to begin in the second quarter of 2009.

We are ready to introduce LED lighting in North America, subject to the availability of capital funding for our new operations and the company will be happy to discuss these projects with interested parties.
