I am in there also and in many others.
Happy out got out last summer and into NGL Bigtime gl
GMLP is taking a nap right now, but I am getting paid well (through divi) to wait.
Golar LNG Partners LP ("the Partnership") (NASDAQ: GMLP) announced today that its board of directors has approved a quarterly cash distribution with respect to the quarter ended March 31, 2019 of $0.4042 per common and general partner unit. This cash distribution will be paid on May 14, 2019 to all common and general partner unitholders of record as of the close of business on May 7, 2019.
I wish you luck but I wouldn't have taken a position just yet. Their last earnings report is not good, lost money when others are prospering---such as NGL.
I took a small position today. The 12.80s were too hard to resist, and I believe they are over their dry dock issues for a while.

Stock recovered from scary period and now can move up to $20 over next 20 months as business improves
thanks again for the post...
In haste, I didn't realize that you were referencing Reuters, so excuse the previous post...
Hi Ranchhand...
Really an interesting post...
If I can ask, where did you find the Corpus Christi info, mainly because I haven't seen it...
Did you actually call the company..?
I've traded GMLP for several years, both stocks and options. and when it started losing money on earnings reports, I viewed it as opportunities...
Of course, it's apparent today, that it just keeps going down... Every time they pay out a dividend, the stock just tanks... At this time, I own over 4k stocks and have REALLY taken a serious hit... the old "catch a falling knife" deal...
It's also interesting that there is no longer any management ownership in GMLP, and considerable management ownership in GLNG....
You can see why this would be so appealing to me,
I would be extremely interested in finding out about your sources or please post more info on any new developments...
Thanks, denise
GMLP about to move an important cargo----Nov 15 (Reuters) - U.S. liquefied natural gas (LNG) company Cheniere Energy Inc officially opened its $15 billion Corpus Christi LNG export facility in Texas on Thursday.
The company, however, would not say when the first cargo will actually leave the facility, which produced its first LNG on Wednesday.
There is an LNG vessel, the LNG Golar Tundra,OWNED BY GMLP, docked at the plant that analysts say will take the project’s first cargo soon.
The start of a better outlook.....
Just now sold out entirely from GMLP.
Came out losing a few hundred $ on an 800 unit position.
Didn't go as I'd hoped. Today's announced cut didn't help either. More than anything, though, is my strictly followed rule:
If the pick doesn't demonstrate strength during the initial incubation period of three months, then it's time to close up shop.
I don't know if Golar GMLP monitors iHub's message board's, but if not, I certainly wish they would... I'm not really happy with GMLP right now...
Golar doesn't make it real easy to contact them, except by out of county phone, USA...
Over the years I've had positions in GMLP for periods of time, some very lengthy periods...
Most recently, I took an entry after the May 31st earnings drop and then averaged down a couple of times when it kept dropping, accumulating 3000 shares at $15.42...
I hung on to get the August Dividend, ex-div Aug 6th, payout Aug 14th...
After a couple of moderate bumps up Aug 21 - 24, unfortunately, I didn't think I had received the dividend yet so didn't sell, I didn't realize the dividend was handled differently than my previous broker, and also on Aug 17, I had let another 1500 option shares exercise into equities at a strike of $15 for an average of $15.27 with 4500 shares...
I finally realized that I had received the dividend in the form of a cash deposit for the 3000 shares, but had no idea the stock was going to again drop another $3.00 from 15.65 to 12.74 after that...
In this case, and at the current loss, the dividend is really pretty insignificant...
The question is..? Where is Golar going with this from here..?
One of the particularly bothersome things about GMLP is the management ownership is absolutely 0% for GMLP, and management ownership for the older GLNG is 46%...
GMLP has a 41% funds ownership, but again, the fund's ownership for GLNG is at 99%, and also 2% bank ownership...
I realize that GMLP is a "Limited Partnership", but it still makes you a little nervous seeing these stats...
And I've mostly done well with GMLP in the past...
But also, that was then...

Soon the bottom should be forming. Management pending announcement on dividend cut should prove anti-climatic.

Looks time to use some of that buy back money here. Get it back into 20's
You are quite welcome!
The more we can fully understand the nuances of what is actually happening in trading the better we can make it as above board as it should be.
GL!
Thank you for taking time to share and educate. Appreciated
Having visited HFT exchanges, and there are 13 to be exact, it becomes clearly obvious that many stocks are being manipulated. This is done to control share prices using large volumes of buying and selling, and shorting of course. As the large share block holders trade, and they are brokers and institutions with HFT access, they get a .03 cent per share per trade rebate from the HFT exchanges regardless of direction. As a example, as a share price approaches say $20. many pre-programmed algorithms kick in and short the stock. PPS drops a bit, algos kick in again, large block holders buy, and the cycle repeats , over and over , etc. Do the math on say 100,000 shares 3 times per day minimum. Now add the spread as HFT trading is so fast in "front running" you cannot detect it. Bottom line, retail investor only one to lose.
Hope this makes sense and helps.
GL!
Why do you sense manipulation? By whom? Appreciate any insights. Thank you.
Agreed. Interesting to see what happens next.
Company beat earnings estimate by .10 and beat on revenue as well.
Should be good to grow upwards! Lots of manipulation going on in this market!
DD shows same,..thus in full agreement. Some Wall St. gurus have a 28.00 PPS target on this Stock as of late. Lots of algo shorting lately. HFT exchanges very busy "front running"!
GL.
$GMLP The agreements provide management with high visibility over future revenues and cash flows. Given the lower environmental impact in power generation than coal and oil.
I believe the deals have an excellent long-term standing as the world's transition towards greener energy sources continues.
In fact, the EIA expects that world LNG trade will more than double between 2012 and 2040.
$GMLP Golar LNG Partners' main attractive feature as a business is that it operates mostly on stable, long-term contracts, with currently $2.3 Billion backlog or around 5.5 years' company revenues.
any update on current analyst consensus? Who do you see as most bullish at this level?
any update on current analyst consensus? Who do you see as most bullish at this level?
I agree. Especially with increased demand of natural gas over coal
$GMLP - I believe so. Could be solid hold.
Good news GMLP. Are they basing their recommendations on expected higher LNG volumes?
$GMLP Currently, 13 analysts give recommendations on Golar LNG. In December 2016, 18 analysts covered the stock. Of the analysts, 92% are bullish on Golar LNG—seven analysts gave a “strong buy” recommendation and five analysts gave a “buy” recommendation. Only one analyst gave a “hold” recommendation for Golar LNG. None of the analysts rated Golar LNG as a “strong sell” or “sell.” Since the beginning of 2017, only one analyst revised its recommendation on Golar LNG. In January 2017, Nordea downgraded the stock to “hold.”
$GLOP $GMLP Don't disagree.
Morgan Stanley has $28 target price on GLOP and you get paid nicely to wait. GMLP also nice pay to wait situation
Guess I would have to do some additional due diligence.
I interpreted it pps would increase and the total dollar amount of dividend would stay the same, so the dividend yield would go down? Did I not interpret that correctly?
