Fisker Inc. and other U.S. subsidiaries, along with subsidiaries outside the U.S., are not currently included in the bankruptcy filing. Fisker says that it’s in advanced talks with financial stakeholders about debtor-in-possession financing and selling its assets.
Key words . Not currently. And selling its assets .
Meaning they are shutting down . Shareholders are toast .
Debtor-in-possession (DIP) financing is financing for firms in Chapter 11 bankruptcy that allows them to continue operating. The lenders of DIP financing take a senior position on liens of the firm's assets, ahead of previous lenders.
