ELDO personal blog - Stardate 040914. Not much trading. Holding on to every share of my 1%+ holdings. Seems to be more attention to the consumer beverage market. CRVP I would consider a peer, and lost money last quarter. I am positive on the prospects here.
Thanks I-one. The value of any business isn't what a few traders will pay, it's what another company might pay to gain access to assets, customer lists, etc. ELDO has water rights here, and some interesting properties. It also has three large shareholders that own 66%. One of these days one of them will want to sell out or expand. Someone was throwing stock at me under 45 cents, and I was happy to buy. Someday a larger company or consolidator will want to pick up these assets, or, they will partner with someone that will help expand their product line. Nice business, easy to manage and expand. I still love this under $2, and will hold perhaps for years.
PFHO is similar, except that they have a larger base of potential businesses that they can acquire or themselves be acquired. I'm looking forward to their 10K.
PFHO has a lot of profit takers it seems. It's always nice to book a profit, but where is the next one coming from? PFHO could yet be another 10 bagger in a short time. ELDO, 3-5 bagger? I agree, PFHO has some fool of a trader taking profits and killing the stock. I like a slow steady rise, so ELDO fits what I like to see. Good luck with your holdings as well!
Yea, Triad---hits $2 so I am very glad for you!
I am rooting for you here Triad and you know something, that explanation of yours may be a very good explanation of what to a good extent occurred with PFHO and it is now that investors have started to go back in with both feet headlong back into it (bid size yesterday of 4,000 shares at 30 with no takers).
ELDO hit $1.40 today. Offer $1.80. Doesn't hold a candle to PFHO, but sometimes it's good to own a non-tech stock that isn't on any trading boards. Traders can kill a great stock because they get all hot in the pants over somthing, bid it up too high, then dump out of fear, and that gets real investors scared to go back in. Glad ELDO is pure of that too! :)
My pleasure!
Ha! No worries. It's the swing traders that may wreck a wet dream LOL. I bought most of my shares under 40 cents in this, I think maybe before PFHO. I usually make commitments of 1% of a company's stock (as I did here), and hold for years if things look promising. PFHO is beyond my favorite stock and over 97% of my net worth.
Thanks for stopping by!
And don't worry---I did not blow your cover but putting this on the PFHO board!
Good luck with your investment over here and keep those PFHO posts coming, Triad.
Brand new high, and not a soul around. Stock had an offer of $2.25 most of the day, which I still think is a steal.
Personal Blog entry: Can't believe this hasn't been discovered. I'd mention it to a trading thread, but I don't want traders in this to kill the momo like they are trying to do with PFHO. Lots of people will be crying soon that they wished they had discovered this sooner... last chance!
ELDO broke the $1 mark today hitting 1.19. I guess I'll never understand people undercutting themselves to sell. Keeping every share I have. Someday buy and hold will come back in vogue. Why it isn't now I'll never know, but I have the profits to prove it works.
Guess this will be my personal blog - a good thing - that means this is totally undiscovered! :)
Nice volume today. Looks like someone gets it. Such an undiscovered jewel, and now someone smart has a good size position. Good for them.
Today's rhyme:
I own over 1% of the company myself in open market purchases a while ago - why this is a penny stock, I'll never know.
This is obviously a wonderful company with a great product. With water shortages and rights coming more in play, I really think someday this company will be in play as well.
Eldorado Natural Spring Water Repeats Silver Medal Win!
LOUISVILLE, Colo., Feb. 26, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Eldorado Natural Spring Water (OTCBB: ELDO) won the silver medal in the 24th Annual Berkeley Springs 2014 International Water Tasting Competition. The entrants were judged by ten journalists and food critics. Judges based their rankings on appearance, taste, aroma, mouth feel and aftertaste. This contest is known as the world's largest and longest running water tasting and is billed as the "Olympics of Water". Waters from five continents including United States, Canada, New Zealand, Thailand, Korea, Japan, China, India, Tanzania, Greece, and Germany were in the running. "It's quite an honor to have won the Silver Medal three times over recent years in this prestigious international competition," said Jeremy Martin, VP Marketing.
Eldorado has won more medals than any other bottled water since 2008. "The consistency in winners from year to year with different panels of judges validates the choices," remarked perennial watermaster, Arthur von Wiesenberger. "It also speaks to the impressively high caliber of the waters entered."
It is Eldorado's unique source, an aquifer that passes underneath Eldorado Springs Canyon in Colorado and rises under immense artesian pressure forcing the water through layers of sandstone up to the surface, creating a natural filter, that gives Eldorado Natural Spring Water its unique taste and outstanding quality.

Earnings and revenues looked good to me. Think the stock would be much higher if we didn't have these large blocks out there on the offer.
I agree with you there. Not many shares to buy, and there was a bid of 40,000 at 80 cents. To that bidder, and now owner, I say welcome aboard! Finally some people are seeing value in these nanocap sleepers. Hopefully management, and the market, will start unlocking some of the value here.
I totally agree. Scarce H20 and the fact that small bottlers are few, there is a lot of potential here for a larger company to expand should management seek that avenue. I hold over 1% of the company myself and don't know why people would let this gem go at such a low price. If more people are willing to sell here, that's great for other longer term investors who I agree will be rewarded well.
You don't find clean share structures like this with such a low market cap often.
I agree with everything you say. If you find out the answer about Mile High, please let us know.
Buy & hold this one with confidence. The current strong demand for product in & around the Denver/Boulder area could send the price towards $10 a share (easy), especially with the float being so small. ELDO is in the cat-bird seat to capitalize on providing a necessary commodity to sustain human life. That means shareholders are in the same win-win position. The next earnings report will catch alot of attention.
I am currently trying to confirm if their water or vitamin water is being sold at Mile High Stadium?
Nice tick up! :)
Demand up for Eldorado's bottled water
By Beth PotterSeptember 16, 2013
LOUISVILLE - Eldorado Artesian Springs Inc. added a Saturday shift to meet increased demand for its bottled water following days of severe storms and flooding in Boulder County that threatened drinking water supplies.
Demand for bottled drinking water from individuals and stores began Friday, said Jeremy Martin, vice president of Louisville-based Eldorado Artesian Springs.
The water the company bottles comes from an 8,000-foot-deep natural spring in Eldorado Springs. It's pumped from there and taken to the company's bottling plant in Louisville in 6,000-gallon stainless steel tanker trucks, Martin said.
"We're plugging away as fast as we can to get emergency water to everyone who needs it," Martin said, Monday.
Left Hand Water District issued an alert on Friday asking customers to boil their water, after flooding caused problems with wastewater systems around the county. The Left Hand Water District serves unincorporated areas of the county between the Foothills Highway (U.S. Highway 36) and Interstate 25, including areas around Longmont, Boulder and Erie, but not including any neighborhoods that have been annexed by those cities. The water district serves Niwot and many rural subdivisions. Lyons issued a boiled water alert on Thursday.
Neither Boulder nor Longmont has issued boiled water orders. There are no publicized restrictions on drinking water in other cities in Boulder County.
Eldorado Artesian Springs was backed up on deliveries Friday, but was back to a normal delivery schedule by the end of Saturday, Martin said. A company tanker truck was delayed briefly on the road to Eldorado Springs at one point on the weekend, he said.
Eldorado Artesian Springs (Nasdaq: ELDO) has 70 employees working at its plant in Louisville. It reported revenue of $2.84 million on June 30, the most recent reporting period. The company also runs the swimming pool in Eldorado Springs, which was not affected by the storms, Martin said.
Looks pretty cheap to me at first glance. The debt load by itself is barely manageable, with debt + capital leases of 4.2mm, and another 300k in annual operating leases. Operating income was 750k last year.
This will do great if they can grow sales like they have, but the downside looks rough to me.
I'm not in it anymore, made a little money, happy
Does anyone still follow this? Just cought my (scanner) eye...
ELDO - Recent 10k (filed 6/29/12) not bad, some positive changes, imo, especially the refinancing. Hiring too...

ELDO in position to capitalize?
http://washingtonexaminer.com/politics/washington-secrets/2012/02/more-bad-news-us-water-bills-triple/317086
ELDO seems to have a wonderful management team. If you doubt their product, just call Kathy and she'll probably send you some samples. She did that for me! I love it when a company takes care of their shareholders. I'd like to take a tour of their bottling facility. Maybe someday....
:)
I think we can see some nice upward movement out of this stock in the next 6 months. Sales will continue to grow in my opinion.
The new vitamin drinks they make are the bomb! Let's see more product ELDO. Perhaps some organic soda?
I do too! And earnings should be out anyday now.
I like this company. These are one of the long runners with good and sound management. :D
"Silent night holy night" kind of quiet today !!! After such a good little run !!! might put in a stop limit order for next week !
Does this thing ever have a red day? $$$$$
Ok, baby I finally spoke of my position, I didn't want to jinx the good time we had so far !!!
