IXMD Positioned in Surging Fantasy Sports Industry Driven by Active User Participation
A recent article by Jake Mann from Motley Fool examines the frenzy of fantasy sports. Mann notes that spending on just fantasy football alone jumped 200% between 2008 and 2012 to a current total of $1.6 billion. The article’s stats also demonstrate that growth in the active user base of fantasy football is nothing to dismiss light-handedly, either. From just 2 million people at the turn of the century, fantasy football alone has shot up to 26 million users, an increase that’s 12 times the size of the 2 million user baseline. The Fantasy Sports Trade Association reports that there are around 33 million active users for all fantasy sports in just the United States alone, revealing a lucrative market opportunity for fantasy sports companies to strike it big in this sizable, annual $5 billion sector. But what drives all of those sports-crazed users to this unique digital pastime in such high numbers, and with such fervor, for that matter?
Interestingly, Mann mentions an academic study that attempts to lay out some explanations. The three professors behind the study, Dae Hee Kwak, Joon Sung Lee, and Joseph E. Mahan III, tested the relationship between fantasy sports ads and participation in a bid for answers. They hypothesized that an old, commonsense chestnut would hold the golden ticket: the greater amount of control someone thinks he or she has in an activity, especially in a recreational pastime, the more he or she will want to engage in it. In other words, it might well be the customizable user options that land fantasy sports so frequently in the end zone.
To test their predictions, the academics employed multiple fantasy experts and tracked their reactions to two advertisements, one being fairly generic and the other expressing the pastime’s customizable value. Two key findings arose—the more control and win expectancy one perceived he or she had, the more likely the user thought he or she would obtain victory in his or her league or thought of the fantasy sports product in general. Both perceptions were found to act as positive reinforcements for greater user interest.
Mann said the customizable options – which are largely static and the same across fantasy sports platforms—and sports expert research were the key factors for attracting users to leading fantasy platforms. Aside from the research accessibility factor, it thus seems that expansive, customizable user options could help drive this still-going-strong heyday.

Intelimax Media is well aware of the lucrative fantasy sports market and the opportunities available through the advancement of technologies and growing number of participants. The company focuses on fantasy sports for the web, social media, and land based-endeavors through its proprietary platform, DraftTeam.com.

Users can access the platform via pc, tablet and mobile, or any device with an Internet connection, and receive real-time updates on the status of their teams.

IXMD Growing by Leaps and Bounds
Intelimax Media is a digital entertainment company that caters to the consumer frenzy of one of the hottest game industries in North America, fantasy sports. It offers value to sports fans by presenting them a clear alternative to traditional fantasy sports options. More specifically, its unique fantasy sports platform, DraftTeam.com, allows fans to build their teams and compete on a daily or weekly basis, as opposed to having their team choices locked in for a whole season.
Fantasy sports is a digital pastime in which sports devotees can create teams and then go head-to-head against each other based on the statistics that their team players or teams produce in real life. Participants often play in customized ‘leagues’, typically made up of family members, co-workers, or other devoted followers of their particular sport focus. For some, it’s a pleasurable way to pass time while others pursue it more vigorously, treating it as a way to earn money off winnings.
Over 36 million devoted sports fans in just the United States are said to be a part of the action, with each participant estimated to spend around $500 annually. The pastime spans across all demographic profiles, showing a strong following especially across different age groups. With the industry estimated to be around a sizable $5 billion a year, there’s definitely some room for acquiring some market share.
IXMD reports it is doing just that. Since the start of NFL football in September 2013, the company reports its active membership has shot up by over 2,045%, with sign-ups increasing daily. The company is actively looking to add more sport participation options to its portfolio of available sports indulgences, too. In addition to offering more frequent chances for competitive interaction among fantasy sports team owners, IXMD offers hundreds of options for competitiveness aside from the “typical” football, baseball, hockey, and basketball options. IXMD members can compete in contest options ranging from 2 to 200 people, and for entry fees ranging from zero to $500. The prize payouts are a bonus, too: they can range from just a few dollars to tens of thousands.
IXMD notes that daily fantasy sports contests are growing in popularity. In just North America alone, there is potential for up to 30 million seasonal fantasy sports players to cross over into the more frequent contest options. That, coupled with the millions of active sports lovers throughout the United States, represents a strong market opportunity for IXMD to build a loyal following and keep itself in the sports fantasy industry for the long haul.

IXMD Sees Unlimited Market in Fantasy Sports
In the U.S., it’s easy to think of sports strictly from an American viewpoint, forgetting that there’s an entire world out there just as passionate about soccer and other world sports as the average American is about football, basketball, or baseball. Spectator sports in the U.S. represent an industry totaling tens of billions of dollars annually, and still growing. But globally it’s well over $100 billion.
The scale of such figures has fueled one of the fastest growing auxiliary industries, fantasy sports, already a multi-billion dollar industry in its own rite. In fantasy sports, people build their own fantasy sports teams using continually changing player statistics to compete with other fantasy teams. Originally confined to sports and number fanatics in the U.S., the once niche pastime has now been driven to global proportions, thanks to computer processing and advanced communication technology. Although still predominantly American, fantasy sports competition has established a major presence in Canada and the UK, and is now gaining attention in countries around the world. The technologies can be applied to virtually any competitive sport, and the Internet reaches all corners of the globe.
This is all good news for Intelimax Media, Canadian-based developers of DraftTeam.com, a proprietary fantasy sports platform. The company’s unique system allows players to compete on a daily or weekly basis, versus limiting them to full season participation. It makes it more attractive to new players who may want to give fantasy sports a meaningful try without locking themselves in. In addition, the platform is designed to generate multiple revenue streams.
At this point Intelimax sees no limit to their potential market, and the company’s plans for international expansion are already underway.

IXMD Provides Unique Entry into Surging Industry
Intelimax Media has created a proprietary fantasy sports platform, DraftTeam.com, allowing people from all over the country to build their own sports teams and compete, and do it on a daily or weekly basis, without having to participate for an entire season as with traditional offerings. It’s the company’s entry into what has already grown into a huge industry, fantasy sports.
Fantasy sports allows participants to build a team that competes against other fantasy team owners based upon statistics generated by real life players or teams. Digital functionality and communication have made this once specialty diversion blossom into a burgeoning worldwide industry.
One of fantasy sport’s major advantages is the fact that there is already a vast worldwide market that is relatively easily targeted, offering multiple sources of sports-related revenue streams. It is estimated that 40 million people, young and old, participate in fantasy sports every year, just in North America, with the average fantasy sports player spending over $400 each year on the pastime. All of this gives Intelimax some key investment and growth advantages:
• Participation in a $5 billion industry sector that continues to grow
• Unique product entry, with options unavailable elsewhere
• Covering a range of major sports, with new product development for golf, MMA, NASCAR
• Use of technology to leverage and accelerate growth
• Near-term positive cash flow anticipated
DraftTeam.com is unique not only in its flexibility of schedule, allowing players to compete on a daily or weekly basis, but also in the number of options it provides for participation and fees. Members can compete in football, baseball, basketball, and hockey, with more games coming, and with dozens of daily contest options from 2 to 200 players, with entry fees from zero to $500. Members can form their own private leagues with friends, or challenge others. Prize payouts range from a few dollars to tens of thousands.
Intelimax already has plans for international expansion.

IXMD Turning Fantasy Sports into Profit Potential
Fantasy Sports is anything but a fantasy business. Fantasy Sports has over 35 million players in North America alone and the demographic is highly coveted by advertisers. The typical fantasy player is in such a desirable demographic that it should make marketers salivate.
According to the Fantasy Sports Trade Association, the average fantasy sports player is a male college educated professional, in their 30s or 40s with an average household income over $90,000. These players also have significant disposable income. Nearly 50% of fantasy users who pay to play fantasy sports spend an average of $468 just on league fees, subscription advice sites and analytics applications, only scratching the surface of the market potential in this lucrative arena.
Users are becoming increasingly mobile as well with 25% of fantasy players accessing games from their mobile devices. Mobile usage has soared with some reports of fantasy app usage increasing 133% in the last year. No wonder such market titans as VW and Snickers have committed large sums to advertising in fantasy sports.
There’s now a way to potentially capitalize on this incredible growth and hugely desirable demographic. In September 2012, Intelimax Media launched DraftTeam.com. DraftTeam.com delivers a Daily Fantasy Sports Platform that allows players the opportunity to engage in daily and weekly fantasy sports contests rather than play over a complete season. This unique approach has revolutionized the industry. Fantasy sports have traditionally been centered on season-long contests. Intelimax has positioned itself differently and is focused on the daily fantasy sports sector that delivers fast paced action for players and multiple revenue streams for the company. It also enables DraftTeam.com to collect entrance and management fees on a daily basis rather than just once a season.
The DraftTeam.com daily fantasy sports platform is uniquely positioned for the rapidly growing fantasy sports market. IXMD uses leading edge technologies suited not only for the pc, but also for tablets and mobile devices. Fantasy players can play games on DraftTeam.com using any device that has an internet connection and they receive real-time updates on the status of their teams even when they’re watching the games live.
Fantasy players continue to gravitate to IXMD’s DraftTeam.com platform; and with unique offerings for players plus multiple revenue streams for the company, the profit potential of IXMD may soon be a reality.

IXMD Puts a Spin on Traditional Fantasy Sports
Intelimax Media is a digital entertainment company capitalizing on North America’s throng of devoted fantasy sports fans. The company offers an alternative to traditional fantasy sports, giving the company a competitive edge in the $5 billion a year fantasy sports industry.
IXMD’s DraftTeam.com daily fantasy sports platform allows players the opportunity to participate in daily and weekly fantasy sports contest rather than play over a complete season. This allows members to benefit from the quick turnaround knowing that if their chosen team is today’s losing team, tomorrow offers a new set of players.
While football most likely comes to mind at the mention of fantasy sports, IXMD recognizes the rising popularity of major leagues such as the NBA and MLB, which has amassed a large and growing base of fantasy sports fans. IXMD members can compete in football, baseball, hockey, basketball, and more, with the ability to choose from several hundred possible contest options.
The company says it is mapping out its strategy for international expansion to maximize its exposure and traffic through various online and mobile channels. The company also offers social gaming, entertainment, and software solutions, applying its innovative technologies to capitalize on the convergence of key trends in the social gaming space and the growing population of gaming fans.

That is the magic question.
I do know from independent sources and research, that DraftTeam.com has seen a dramatic increase in unique visitor traffic. So a visitor who logs in 10 times counts as one person. In fact it has gone up about ten fold.
So that is a good sign. Awareness is growing. It looks like actual paid users is higher but hard to measure by exactly how much.
Of the 13 active Daily Fantasy sites out there, DraftTeam sits in sixth in terms of traffic.
Interestingly the three sites run by MGT and their mega bucks backing barely get more users than DraftTeam. Again I can't measure actual money deposited.
Considering where DT were in that ranking (dead last)just 6 weeks ago that is a positive sign.
But to be clear the current SP action sucks big time. So the adventure continues.
Well that's great! And how much of that profit is real money and Monopoly money? Massive. Whiskey time and then time to watch the Titanic.
IXMD Profits from the Emotional Grip of Sports
It’s autumn, and, for many Americans, Sunday afternoons (and Monday evenings) have become almost ritualized as high-definition television sets across the country switch on and tune in to America’s favorite spectator sport, professional football. It has been estimated that over 60% of Americans periodically watch NFL football, with a full 43% of that viewing audience being women.
When television first arrived, it provoked an understandable angst in both the movie and sports industries, based upon the belief that everyone would stay home, and revenue would quickly wither. As it turned out, exactly the opposite was true. People still attended movies and games, and both sports and movies became valuable content for television which generated revenue from that portion of the market that stayed home.
It all shows the power of the emotional grip that sports, and especially pro-football, has on Americans. Cities are willing to spend over half a billion dollars on a stadium that many of its citizens will only see on television. And vast amounts of money trade hands as millions of dollars are paid for commercials and other marketing privileges associated with pro football and sports in general. Psychologists say it’s because such activities allow us to vicariously release our natural drives to action that otherwise go unsatisfied in today’s computerized sit-down world.
The visceral effect that spectator sports offers is now spilling over into one of the fastest growing sports related industries, fantasy sports, where people are more free to interact mentally, if not physically, by building and competing their own teams. Fantasy sports has exploded on the entertainment scene, with tens of millions of people spending billions of dollars on fantasy related products and services.
Intelimax Media, developers of DraftTeam.com, a proprietary fantasy sports platform, have developed a unique system that promises them a part of that burgeoning industry. Their platform allows players to compete on a daily or weekly basis, instead of requiring full seasonal participation, which is attractive to the growing number of new players, men and women, that want to give fantasy sports a try. For Intelimax, it means multiple revenue streams and a market that seems to be unending.

IXMD Has a Huge Built-In Market
One of the biggest areas in consumer marketing is accessories, an added product or service that targets an existing core product base. The advantage of course is the fact that there are already dedicated customers out there, people who have purchased a core product, people who are known and easier to access, and who are likely to have an established need for what you have to offer. It can be so lucrative that entire industries have sprung up almost overnight based upon providing accessory products and services.
However, there are also markets which, although they are often seen in terms of accessories because they are so closely associated with an existing core product, are really better viewed as industry spin-offs. One of the fastest growing recent examples of such a market is fantasy sports, and particularly fantasy football, where users create their own teams with game results based upon real-life player statistics. It used to be a pastime limited to educated sports fans who were comfortable handling a lot of paper and pencil calculation, but that has all changed now. Cloud-based digital processing power allows fans from all over the world to easily communicate and interact, quickly handling even the most involved number crunching. It’s now got millions of dedicated players, almost all of which can be attributed to the fact that American football itself has a ready-made fan base from which to draw. In other words, it has the primary advantages of a good accessories market.
For Intelimax Media, developers of DraftTeam.com, a proprietary fantasy sports platform, it’s a potential gravy train that promises to keep getting bigger. Their platform is unique, allowing players to compete in weekly or even daily contests, versus requiring involvement for an entire season. As such, it is a logical draw for new users, people who will get used to the Intelimax platform and continue with it as they and it expand. And it’s not just for football. People can focus on whatever sports they prefer, including baseball, basketball, and hockey, with more in the pipeline. In addition, the system is set up to provide Intelimax with multiple and varied revenue streams, just like a hot accessories market.

IXMD Introduces New Angle to Fast Growing Fantasy Sports
Fantasy sports is a rapidly growing worldwide game phenomenon, where people get to pretend that they are team owners, creating fantasy sports teams to compete against other fantasy owners, choosing real individual players or teams of a professional sport that they think will perform well over the coming season. Competitions between teams are based on performance statistics, with statistics changing over the course of the season. Professional football and baseball are the most popular fantasy sports, but basketball, auto racing, hockey, soccer, and even golf has become part of the action.
We’re talking about roughly 40 million players in the U.S. and Canada, including teens and adults, men and women, with the majority being college educated and with a high household income. Also, many players use mobile devices on a regular basis as part of their participation. So it’s a wide and serious market, readily accessible through digital marketing.
This is all good news for Intelimax Media, a Vancouver-based digital entertainment company focusing on fantasy sports for the web, social media, and land-based vendors. The company’s developing proprietary platform, DraftTeam.com, is designed to generate multiple revenue streams, supported by innovative product development and plans for international expansion. It’s a unique daily fantasy sports platform, giving players the opportunity to engage in daily and weekly fantasy sports contests rather than play over a complete season, a revolutionary new angle. Members can compete in many of their favorite sports, including football, baseball, hockey, and basketball, with more to come.
The platform offers dozens of daily contest options, covering from 2 players to 200, and with entry fees from zero to $500 dollars. Members can even form their own private leagues with friends. Prize payouts range from a few dollars to tens of thousands in this very lucrative and exciting game.

Intelimax Media, Inc. (IXMD) is a digital entertainment company focusing on fantasy sports for the Web, social media and land-based vendors. The company is incorporated under the laws of British Columbia, Canada and was recently listed on the Canadian National Stock Exchange (CNSX) under the symbol ‘IMD,’ in addition to trading on the OTC.
IXMD is led by a team of experts in technology, gaming, marketing, and finance who have identified key opportunities in the rapidly emerging daily fantasy sports and social media sectors. The company’s proprietary platform, DraftTeam.com, generates multiple revenue streams, complemented by innovative product development and plans for international expansion.
As part of IXMD’s marketing strategy, the distribution of its products through various online and mobile channels is a key driver for gaining exposure and traffic. One component of the company’s strategy will be to integrate its gaming platform through the major social and land-based eGaming networks.
As the core structure of the IXMD software platform continues to evolve, the deployment of new products and features will be less restricted by costs and time. This will allow the company to efficiently release future brands into target markets that prove to be financially beneficial.
Investment Highlights
Sports Platform
IXMD has developed its own unique proprietary fantasy sports gaming platform that is built on a highly robust, reliable and scalable technology platform allowing for a rapid and interactive user experience.
Since IXMD owns its software platform and source code, the company is not relying on third-party software providers to make changes as the products evolve. In addition IXMD is not subject to any royalties or licensing issues that may arise in the future.
Fantasy Sports Network
IXMD fantasy sports games are head to head or multi-player games in which users act as fantasy owners and build sports teams that compete against other fantasy teams based on the statistics generated by individual players or teams of a professional sport.
The company’s fantasy sports software system allows users to play in a daily game as opposed to being committed to the game for an entire season. The current model requires participants to pay an entrance fee and enter their team. The winner or winners collectively receive 90% of the prize pool immediately following the completion of each game or tournament. This creates a small initial investment for the player and a consistent revenue stream from management fees for IXMD.
IXMD is currently undertaking significant upgrades to its proprietary daily fantasy sports and social gaming platform. These upgrades will allow the company to easily introduce a wider variety of fantasy sports leagues, new game options, contests and tournaments. IXMD offers hundreds of daily fantasy sports contests in a variety of sports and charges a management fee on each contest or game played on DraftTeam.com.
With these upgrades, IXMD will have additional revenue opportunities by offering white label services to new vendors looking to enter the daily fantasy sports sector with their own brand, giving them immediate liquidity by having access to the existing IXMD fantasy sports gaming network.
These upgrades are scheduled to go live on DraftTeam.com in mid-August 2013. The company intends to immediately offer the four major sports: NFL, MLB, NHL & NBA as, well as PGA. IXMD plans to kick off its fall marketing campaign to coincide with the upcoming NFL season, followed by NHL, NBA, and the remainder of the PGA season.
Over the next few months, IXMD will introduce other popular sport leagues and new fantasy sports games to DraftTeam.com, to be determined by customer feedback and demand.
DraftTeam.com
In September 2012, IXMD launched DraftTeam.com, a unique daily fantasy sports platform that allows players the opportunity to engage in daily and weekly fantasy sports contests rather than play over a complete season. Members can compete in many of their favorite sports including football, baseball, hockey, and basketball with more to come.
The platform offers dozens of daily contest options from two to 200 players, and entry fees from zero to $500 dollars. Members can form their own private leagues with friends or challenge other users for bragging rights. Prize payouts range from a few dollars to tens of thousands in this very lucrative and exciting game.
This unique approach has revolutionized the industry. Players can now play as often as they want and for entry fees to fit any budget. It also enables DraftTeam.com to collect entrance and management fees on a daily basis rather than just once a season.
Another exclusive feature of IXMD’s proprietary platform is its network approach to fantasy sports. The company can cater to other businesses looking to join this exploding vertical by offering a white label software solution which will co-mingle traffic from many Web sites. The advantage is the instant liquidity for brands just getting started, which immediately overcomes the daunting critical mass challenge facing upstarts.
Finally, the DraftTeam.com daily fantasy sports platform is well-positioned for this rapidly growing sector by using leading edge technologies for pc, tablet, and mobile. The wide spread use of smartphones and tablets aligns perfectly with IXMD’s second-screen gaming features. Users can play games on any device with an Internet connection and receive real-time updates on the status of their teams even when they are watching the games live on TV.
DraftTeam.com offers a new and exciting way of playing fantasy sports. The dynamic nature of the daily contests maintain players’ interests by providing instant gratification, the ability to play more often, and for a range of entry fees & prizes that fit anyone’s desires. The games are targeting millions of greenfield sports enthusiasts and 36+ million season-long fantasy sports participants who have yet to learn of this new option by offering a leading edge platform for desktop, tablet and mobile users.
Fantasy Sports
A “Fantasy Sport” is a game where participants act as owners to build a team that competes against other fantasy owners based on the statistics generated by the real individual players or teams of a professional sport. Probably the most common variant converts statistical performance into points that are compiled and totaled according to a roster selected by a manager that makes up a fantasy team. These point systems are typically simple enough to be manually calculated by a "league commissioner." More complex variants use computer modeling of actual games based on statistical input generated by professional sports.
The ever-growing popularity of major leagues like NFL, NBA, and MLB has spawned a legion of devoted fantasy fans. With more than 36 million participants spending on average $500 annually and lifetime participation often projected upward of 20 years, fantasy sports enthusiasts are some of the most loyal consumers. This highly engaging pastime caters to social gamers looking to demonstrate their sporting intellect while playing for cash and prizes.
The industry is estimated to be worth more than $5 billion annually. Even media giants like Yahoo and CBS Sports offer season-long contests for prizes and the formation of the Fantasy Sports Trade Association (FSTA) in 1999 is a testament to the legitimacy and growing nature of the vertical.
According to research from Ipsos (2011), more than 69% of fantasy sports participants said they are not likely to stop playing in the next 6-10 years; 53% claimed they would continue to play for a minimum of 20 years.
Despite its popularity, traditional fantasy sports has its drawbacks. Typically, participants make their selections only once per year and are then required to monitor their teams over a complete season lasting up to 8 months. The downsides of this model occur when fantasy sports teams quickly fall behind in the standings or players get injured. This inevitably leads to disinterest by the majority of contestants who find themselves out of contention and end up having to wait until the next season begins to restart the process.
IXMD has a Game-Changing Solution
IXMD is one of the few companies that have developed a unique fantasy sports game where users enter on a daily and weekly basis rather than over a complete season. Members can compete in their favorite sports: football, baseball, hockey, basketball, and more on the company’s web property DraftTeam.com. The daily setup offers hundreds of possible contest options and completely revolutionizes the way the game is played. Now members can benefit from the quick turnaround and numerous prize offerings knowing that if today’s chosen team(s) don’t win, tomorrow brings a bevy of new opportunities.
Daily fantasy sports is growing despite the vast majority of seasonal fantasy sports players being unaware of its existence. In North America alone, this represents a market of more than 30 million potential crossover customers coupled with millions of greenfield sports enthusiasts who will fall in love with this exciting game.
Recent Ipsos studies have concluded that:
IXMD is poised to prosper in this under-serviced vertical with its customer-facing Web site and its leading edge, multi-device, proprietary gaming software that can act as a platform for other operators looking to enter this burgeoning space.
Market Opportunity
It's estimated by the Fantasy Sports Trade Association (“FSTA”) that more than 40 million people age 12 and above play some form of a Fantasy Sport each year in North America. Participation has grown more than 30% annually the past four years with 19% of all males in the U.S. playing fantasy sports. Fantasy Sports is estimated to have a $4 billion–$5 billion annual economic impact across the sports industry.
The fantasy sports enthusiast is a loyal customer to the industry. While many of the individuals are constantly expanding their repertoire of products and services used to play in their fantasy contests, they are loyal to their craft. Over 69% of fantasy sports players said that it was not likely that they will stop playing fantasy sports in the next 6-10 years. The majority of players, 53% claimed they would continue to play for a minimum of 20 years.
Recession Proof – As it was proved during the recent recession, fantasy sports enthusiasts have not let economic conditions effect the dollars invested in pay-to-play contests as reported in the 2011 Fantasy Sports Consumers Report.
The hobby has also moved beyond the U.S. with fantasy leagues for soccer, cricket, and other sports. For example, according to a 2008 study by Ipsos, the number of British fantasy sports players aged 16–64 is estimated to range between 5.5 and 7.5 million. Of those, 80% of these players participate in fantasy soccer.
IXMD will endeavor to produce informative and entertaining online brands that will attract a loyal audience and in turn facilitate lucrative advertising revenues and product sales through management and monthly membership fees.
IXMD is well-positioned to leverage convergence of Internet sports wagering, social gaming, entertainment, and advertising trends across multiple revenue streams, capitalizing on the burgeoning $5 billion fantasy sports market that achieved 2012 global social gaming revenue of $6 billion, and online gambling revenue $36 billion the same year.
Revenue Model & Financial Projections
To capture its market share of the $5 billion fantasy sports sector, IXMD has established a comprehensive revenue model that supports its financial projections.
