if my yard was not so sandy I would try to have a garden to help off set some costs.

True on the gas prices affecting everything else. Almost all things here are a dollar to a dollar and half higher than than they were just last summer; it's starting to hit my budget with a vengeance, and that's really starting to piss me off!

Yesterday on FNC program a a guy in the business said that he would not be surprised if we saw six dollars a gallon by summers end.

I paid $3.69 last night. Had half a tank, but when I saw price, I filled up.

oh, I have a 19 gal tank and that is bad enough, cheapest around here is 3.929. I don't look for the highest the lowest is bad enough

I saw $4.18 for regular yesterday, ugh! I have a 47-gallon tank and I'm on half a tank, it's time to fill it again... Oh da pain!

yeah I know about that and it saddens me that someone could do something so awful to have that effect. I hope that she is indeed reading and will pop her head in and say she is ok.

Suetta, not for a long time. Her board, and she would have to have had a serious reason for walking away from it. I monitor this board (in favorites) so anything that appears here I read. She gave me her email address years ago, I still have it, but I feel that I have to honor her decision to leave this board and her friends. I do think she still keeps an eye on the posts here. If/or when she wants to return she will. And many of us will rejoice if she ever does.
My opinion only, I think one person offended her so deeply that her only choice was to withdraw. But I don't know the reason, that is just my opinion.
She'll respond to your post if she chooses to. She is a super lady, with many many friends on IHUB. I'm proud to be one of them.

I am so glad to hear that cold from hell is behind you, the pollen here is really bad again, not much to do but take it in the sinus. lol but we move on. the economy is bad and will not even discuss the gas prices. went up .10 here over night. grrrr

yes I keep tabs on him and watch to see if he is posting, if he is not posting I go in search of him. (I stalk him and am his pest) Gary is one of the best people I know here and I admire his strength an courage facing his challenges. With all that he manages to do so much more than a man 1/2 his age with less.

Suetta, I don't know if you've kept up on Gary's problems, he won't complain, that isn't his way. He has had real problems lately but it looks like he is pulling through. He is a dear friend to so many of us, we've been praying for him and prayer does work.
He'll work at rehab, and his killer cold is now a thing of the past. Time is on his side, and by late summer he will be doing much better.
He's one of the best.

I'm back on track now that I am finally getting over that 4-week cold from hell. I'm back to proper dieting, exercising and doing my physical therapy for that total shoulder replacement I had 6-weeks ago.

How are you doing? Fine I hope, welll... as fine as one can do in this mess of an economy anyways.

Things I Learned In The South

For My Southern Friends.

A possum is a flat animal that sleeps in the middle of the road.

If it grows, it'll stick ya. If it crawls, it'll bite cha.

Onced and Twiced are words.

People actually grow,eat and like okra.

Fixinto is one word. It means I'm going to do that.

'Fix' is a verb. Example: 'I'm fixing to go to the store.' I'm fixing dinner. (No, nobody broke dinner but I still have to fix it!)

My knees are deteriorating, I'm still walking but otherwise my health is so good my specialist is amazed. He sees me bi-monthly, grins, says keep up whatever you are doing. That will be $25 co-pay for two minutes.
