Let me clarify a few mispercetions...
Not caring what anything weighs, means I don't care what a ZEV weighs either. If a ZEV investment is well run and makes me money I don't care if it weighs more than the moon. Weight is NOT one of my investment criteria. (GO BALLARD)
And here's a fun fact, being SHORT is making an investment in a company, so I have had a position in CLNE since the teens. Building a short position at these low levels is much more difficult, but that DEAD CAT BOUNCE to $3.00, last month really helped. Boy, did those gains last !!!
As for the internal combustion engine, I agree that it will be here for decades to come and it will still be using DIESEL FUEL !
Yes, ICE's will be using natural gas, too, but not nearly as many or as much as you think. Face it, this niche is already way below where you thought it would be when you invested... and back then the rate of growth was more than DOUBLE what it is today...and now we have ZEV competition.
Looks like Warren investing in dying industry with all those electric trucks coming... lol

Kettleman
Just as you and I predicted months ago this new engine from CMI/Westport, ISX12N, is going to be a HUGE success.
Say what!! This is a direct quote from you "Let's focus on our investment"
You have made it very clear in past postings of a zero investment in CLNE. Can't have it both ways!!!
If you don't care about what a unit weighs then why push this false narrative on ZEV's? Don't blow off the many engineers and CTO's who are saying internal combustion engine ate going to be around for many years.
If clean's management is the worst you've ever seen, your words, then stick with that premise.
I don't care about truck drivers or Equifax. Let's focus on our investment which has nothing to do with truck drivers or the CEO of Equifax.
The fact that the Equifax CEO is rewarded for his incompetance too, does not justfy CLNE's lopsided insider compensation .
I also don't care how much anything weighs, I care about this company's financial performance.. which is among the WORST I have ever seen.
There is a reason why we have fallen from BILLIONS in market cap to where we are today... $2.50/share. And the reason is lousy management.
Drivers are in extremely high demand in case you didn't know.
What else is new about people in management. The guy at EQUIFAX is going to walk away with 90million. Look what he let happen on his watch.
I'll clue you in on these so called ZEV. They're about 40% heavier than a diesel / gas powered unit.
And just so you didn't know these units are being given to the carriers to test. Yes given to them. No trucker is going to pay double for a totally unproven unit.
Somebody cares... about the bottom line.
Obivously not the truck driver, until his company goes out of business and he is out of a job, because they are overpaying for their trucks.
But then, he can always go to work at CLNE, where the insiders get rich, and no one cares about the bottom line....
A Port Authority driver could care less about the cost. He only cares about the drivability of the truck.
What do you think a battery powered or fuel cell powered truck weighs or costs. Double that of a diesel powered one?
Now this is more than likely the TRUTH. Read between the lines
They get enough smell from the garbage they pickup, lol.
If you look back in my posts you will see that I said,.
"Fire DEMERS and the share price will double. ". "Hire someone with an IQ and the share price will double again."
It may not be all sales, but just more faith in management.
We were all convinced DEMERS would destroy the company.
The same goes for Littlefair.
Spoke to driver of Cng trash truck when he picked up in front of my home, said the truck is great. Quiet and no diesel smell.
Great post !
Another thing the driver didn't mention is the EXTRA COST for an NGV over a standard diesel truck.
I have said it before, we will see NGV's, just not as many as you hope .
That's why this is and should be a $2.00 stock.
what I found interesting was the driver comments. He said comparable power or even better performance. He also said it was quieter. All drivers will like those traits when operating a truck.
One thing not mentioned is the lack of a diesel smell. Many drivers will tell you that is one thing they really notice when operating a NatGas vehicle.
First GM says ALL Electric; NOW FORD !

I haven't heard of many new deals involving NGV's. Certainly not to this scale.
Another great article...

Wow Nice Find Krays. one more Big Boy stating the Long Distance Hauler with LNG, just imagine with all of CLNE Business with Municipalities and Buses, Trash. Here come those Long Hauler. It's all becoming Reality... Good Day...

Thanks Krays, Do we all know Volvo Trucks market share?
Don't worry,... no biggie.
Volvo weighs in on alternative fuel debate
http://www.primemovermag.com.au/news/article/volvo-weighs-in-on-alternative-fuel-debate
The price of oil continues to climb higher. Today it is almost $52.00 a barrel. Diesel is selling higher again while gas is down somewhat. Bottom line, no stability in pricing.
ALL this Instability will make truckers and companies that use heavy duty trucks lean more to stable NatGas powered trucks.
Totally great article Kray
Thanks
A great find indeed. Kray posts a great article on trucks and transportation and you counter with a HONDA CIVIC.
LMAO!!!
ZEV's do pollute unless they are being recharged by electricity that was generated in a way that doesn't pollute. ( I am not aware of any in existence ) Even solar panels, which may seem to be non polluting at a cursory glance cause pollution through their manufacture. Do ZEV's actually pollute less in a real sense through the full lifecycle of the vehicle and it's supporting systems for charging it?
NGV's pollute !!! ZEV's do not. From the Yahoo message board: PNGGGJONES:
75 % of the diesel engines in California could be replaced by ZEV engines/motors. We need to find uses for the natural gas that is produced by landfills and livestock. It makes far more sense to burn NG in power plants or convert it to Hydrogen which is then used to power vehicles.

Has the rate of growth been slowing.?
We used to have double digit growth rates, now every quarter the rate of growth is less. SLOW ORGANIC GROWTH at these levels means SMALL NICHE.
This is a nascent business, and at this phase, growth should be exponential, but we have the opposite.
Bad day(s),
As you always say ng will be a small niche, and Quarter after Quarter it has grown for the past 2+ - Years. it has not stalled, it has not gone backwards. it has GROWN! slowly but surely it is growing from your slow Niche, to a Bit Bigger, and a Bit bigger again. That is the Truth. Good Day...
Ndakota
Your absolutely correct Whas. All the truck manufacturers will tell you the same story on Electric vehicles. It may work and is currently being tested in the city delivery market. These units have a range of about 60 miles max. The technology is just not there and they all admit reduced cargo capacity due to the added weight of the batteries. Many are hopeful but I view their responses as part of the PC culture that we live in.
PS Diesel prices are bouncing around like a silly putty ball in my area. Just a few days ago diesel was selling at 2.80 a gallon and moving higher. Today its dropped back under 2.70. Believe the National average has retreated just alitlle @ 2.78 down 1.6 cents
Garbage Trucks and Buses...
Municipal vehicles within organizations which don't have shareholders, bottom lines or investment criteria. But they do have your tax dollars to waste.
As I have stated many times... There WILL be NGV's...they are and will continue to be a SMALL NICHE.
The same reasons that YOU don't drive an NGV are the same reasons others don't as well... the government isn't paying for your vehicle, the economics are NOT COMPELLING ENOUGH, and it is INCONVENIENT.
Ng trash trucks stop at my house twice a week
Every day, let me repeat, everyday ng trucks pass me on the highway
I see maybe 1 Tesla once a month.
Never see electric truck.
Whassup, again we agree.
In 25 years, the majority of OTR trucks will still be diesel.
There will be a SMALL NICHE of NGV's; and a growing segment of ZEV's including electric, Hydrogen, Fuel Cells, etc.
Who cares about China?
Every vehicle manufacturer cares about the LARGEST vehicle market in the universe !!
This is why they are building to meet with China's standards. WHICH DON'T INCLUDE FOSSIL FUELS !
Why would you tool up for an application which is obsolete ??
That's why vehicle manufacturers are going ZEV and DROPPING Natural Gas.
All customer not commercial OTR trucks.
If u think Zev battery trucks will dominate the trucking industry within next 25 yes, ain't gonna happen.
That's right. And ZEV's are ready today...
So why take the unnecessary intermediate step with NGV's?
We can go directly to ZEV's. That's what vehicle manufacturers are beginning to decide !
China who cares what they are doing
Didn't know clne had stations there
Zev will take 20 yrs to replace combustion engine
Aaaahh... I am glad you brought up RNG.
Can you enlighten Everyone on how many gallons of RNG are marketed?
With this knowledge we will be able to determine what the NG to RNG ratio is and how "green" Natural Gas really is.
For CLNE, California is much bigger and RNG is not a fossil fuel DJ.
Which is bigger ?
China or California ?
My guess is China banning fossil fuels has a bigger impact than clean buses in California.
Jid3294, thought you might have some insite as to what is going on with CLNE and the transportation world.
In my area diesel fuel is going back up quickly. This weekend it topped 2.80 a gallon and is going higher. NatGas is staying steady. A barrel of oil just broke thru fifty dollars today.
Any thoughts?
Oil pushes over FIFTY dollars a barrel. Diesel is 2.80 a gallon and going higher. All while NatGas price is steady.
TRUTH: The Future is ZEV's
Volkswagen is a "second mover" in electrified commercial vehicles, after lagging behind companies such as Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) and Deutsche Post DHL (OTCPK:DPSTF), the head of VW's (OTCPK:VLKAY) trucks business, Andreas Renschler, told Tagesspiegel.
At the Frankfurt motor show last week, the automaker said it was stepping up its shift to electric cars by investing more than $20B in zero-emission vehicles by 2030.
https://www.sciencealert.com/new-research-takes-us-another-step-closer-to-a-hydrogen-fuelled-future
Natural gas was going to be at best a "bridge fuel"; until EV's and FCV's evolved. This is why natural gas was always going to be a small niche, and why CLNE is always going to be a $2.00 stock.
EV's and FCV's are now viable and much more convenient, without taking the unnecessary intermediate step with natural gas. This is why the UK, Germany, France, and China (and others?); all have plans to ban the sale of fossil fueled vehicles in the coming years, in favor of ZERO EMISSION VEHICLES (ZEV).
Nat Gas weighs less than diesel is true.
BUT... CNG is under pressure and the CNG cylinders plus the fuel weighs more than diesel.
AND.... LNG is cryogenic.... Soooo LNG cylinders plus the fuel weighs more than diesel on a BTU neutral basis.
I've seen and heard some things about this truck and what Elon wants to accomplish. One thing that I could not find anything on was the weight of this truck. Batteries are extremely heavy and it takes a whole lot of them to power a heavy duty truck.
so keep in mind for every pound that is added to the truck or trailer is a pound of payload that is removed. Truckers get paid for the freight that they haul. Of course if you only haul feathers or styrofoam no problem.
PS Something else to be aware of is NatGas weighs less than diesel which means a NatGas unit can haul more fright than a diesel powered one. Could be an advantage if heavier commodities are hauled.

Our Mission
Clean Energy is changing the way the world fuels its vehicles. Energy independence is an undisputed goal for our nation, and we at Clean Energy know just how realistic and attainable that goal is with natural gas fuel. Moving forward in our thinking as well as in our vehicles means a safer, healthier planet for all of us. This change is already happening. Natural gas is abundant and domestically available and is already used as a cleaner source of energy around the world. - See more at: https://www.cleanenergyfuels.com/about-us/#sthash.xIy4zrGL.dpuf
Clean Energy Fuels’ company growth over the decades has been marked with risk and reward, and always defined by passion. Entrepreneur and energy pioneer T. Boone Pickens and current Clean Energy President and CEO Andrew Littlefair had a vision they felt could change this country for the better.
The idea behind natural gas fuel is two-fold, and Americans hear a lot about both of its main benefits: a greener planet and energy independence. Like all paradigm-shifting ventures, Pickens’ company started relatively small and grew with consistency that proved he wasn’t just “onto something.” He was putting in motion a company that is instrumental in making the change that so many of us talk about.
