Ezekiel as a Watchman
"Now at the end of seven days the word of the Lord came to me: “Son of man, I have made you a watchman over the house of Israel. When you hear a word from My mouth, give them a warning from Me. If I say to the wicked person, ‘You will surely die,’ but you do not warn him — you don’t speak out to warn him about his wicked way in order to save his life — that wicked person will die for his iniquity. Yet I will hold you responsible for his blood. But if you warn a wicked person and he does not turn from his wickedness or his wicked way, he will die for his iniquity, but you will have saved your life. Now if a righteous person turns from his righteousness and practices iniquity, and I put a stumbling block in front of him, he will die. If you did not warn him, he will die because of his sin and the righteous acts he did will not be remembered. Yet I will hold you responsible for his blood. But if you warn the righteous person that he should not sin, and he does not sin, he will indeed live because he listened to your warning, and you will have saved your life.”
~ Ezekiel 3:16-21
Some powerful words of responsibility here from God.
Are we to be God’s Watchman? Asking for a friend...

God’s in the Details
"Give all your worries and cares to God, for He cares about you.” ~ 1 Peter 5:7
"But even the hairs of your head have all been counted.” ~ Matthew 10:30
While I was talking with someone the other day, she mentioned something going on in her life. I asked if she'd prayed about it. She replied no, she didn't think God was concerned about something that small. She went on to say she prays about the important things but not anything as small as this. I could identify with this thinking, and at one time my thinking was the same. After all... God has a lot to do all the time!
There is nothing under the sun that is not important to God. All we have to do is look at our solar system, the starry universe, how a baby is perfectly put together before birth, the cell structure in our bodies, right down to a perfectly and intricately made bumble bee in a minutely detailed single flower.
He is most definitely and assuredly in details. And He is totally interested in the details of our lives. The Word of the Lord is truth, and it says that even the hairs of our head are numbered by God. He knows every single solitary detail about us. He IS interested and involved in our lives.
No prayer request is too small for Him. He already knows what is in our hearts and minds, and longs for us to come to Him, our Heavenly Father, to ask and to talk things over. Through the Holy Spirit, we can come to Him, trusting and believing.
What an awesome and amazing God we have, that He would be interested in every detail concerning us. So "give all your worries and cares to God, for He cares about you."
How wonderful we serve a God of details.

Love the hymns brother! The lyrics are so full of truth, love, life, and, of course, conviction. Thank you for sharing that particular one - a most awesome prayer! Here is a link to a hymnal site in case anyone was looking for one:

NO IDEA WHY !!! But this just popped into my little ole "P" brain ----seemed to be a good thing to share:
More love to Thee, O Christ, more love to Thee!
Hear Thou the prayer I make on bended knee;
This is my earnest plea: More love, O Christ, to Thee;
More love to Thee, more love to Thee!
Once earthly joy I craved, sought peace and rest;
Now Thee alone I seek, give what is best;
This all my prayer shall be: More love, O Christ, to Thee;
More love to Thee, more love to Thee!
Let sorrow do its work, come grief or pain;
Sweet are Thy messengers, sweet their refrain,
When they can sing with me: More love, O Christ, to Thee;
More love to Thee, more love to Thee!
Then shall my latest breath whisper Thy praise;
This be the parting cry my heart shall raise;
This still its prayer shall be: More love, O Christ, to Thee;
More love to Thee, more love to Thee!
Like I said, I don't know why----but felt someone needed this----who knows, maybe "me"----Even God fearing, Jesus folks need reminded from time to time------we only become in God's righteousness when we leave this world and step off into eternity-----Think on your eternity ...Not mine but yours-----Eternity is a long, long, long time my friend-----I, a Christian, I sin, I ask for forgiveness-----without that forgiveness I find myself up that creek without a paddle-----A Hell of a mess----- some serious thinking here---- I urge a non-believer (who wants to know) to take a moment and say---quite simply---God if you are there----help me-----nothing more ---nothing less ----God help me----I am a Christian, but I find I need this everyday----"God help me"
Don't Forget to Pray
~ Inquire of the Lord for all things - great and small.
Scripture Reading: Joshua 9
Key Verses:
"So the men took some of their provisions, but did not ask counsel from the Lord. And Joshua made peace with them and made a covenant with them, to let them live, and the leaders of the congregation swore to them.” ~ Joshua 9:14-15
When the armies of ancient Israel, led by Joshua, were conquering the Promised Land, the surrounding kings and nations were understandably terrified. This was because God was with the Israelites giving them great victories over their enemies — enemies whom God commanded the Israelites to destroy because of their sinful, decadent, and self-destructive ways.
The men of Gibeon, a close country, resorted to trickery. They sent a delegation to Joshua with the appearance of having come from a distant land so they could deceive Joshua into making a treaty with them. Their donkeys carried worn out sacks and old wineskins that were cracked and had been mended. They wore old clothes, worn and patched sandals, and the bread they carried with them was dry and moldy.
Their disguise worked very well. Joshua signed a treaty with them only to discover afterwards they were a neighboring people among those countries God had told Joshua to destroy. They had to live with the consequences as a result.
Joshua's mistake was that he made this treaty without praying and inquiring of the Lord — a valuable lesson for all of us to learn.
Suggested Prayer:
"Dear God, help me never to forget my need for wisdom and guidance from You and daily seek Your direction in everything I do. Thank You for hearing and answering my prayer. Gratefully, in Jesus' name, amen."

Amen brother...even with strong belief and faith...at times there can still be a little doubting Thomas in us.....epecially facing the unknowns of life here on planet earth. And when we humble ourselves just like the man in this scripture..."I believe, help my unbelief"..im thinking it puts a big smile on Gods face!
Have a awesome day!
Good morning....i read this and this song came to my mind.....and....a little encouragement for ya!
Just lifted you up in prayer....
God On the Mountain....
As we know...and its a little hard for me to wrap my head around this...but...there was no beginning to God the Father...God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. The Trinity....three Persons...One God. They have always existed. Then at some point God decided to create angels...and at another point...God decided to create the heavens and earth and all creation including humans. God is Omnipotence...He has the power to do anything He desires and in complete control of everything. Omnipresence...He is in all places all the time.....Omniscience...He knows all things....everything. Even before you and myself were born...God knew us....again...its kinda hard in some ways to wrap my brain around all this. God knew every thought every word every action or deed we were ever going to do...even before we were born. Sovereign almighty all powerful loving God....and He created us anyway....why? The word is relationship! You see...Jesus left heaven and came to earth born a baby to the virgin Mary and just like all male babies grew to be a man and lived among humans for 33 years. He did that to walk among His children...to be face to face with them...and most importantly to provide a way to heaven by his death on the cross and His resurrection. Jesus was fully man and still fully God. And as much as our heavenly Father cares about our salvation...desiring that we be born-again...become a new creation...He also places high priority on another aspect of our life...He is interested in building a relationship with you and me...yes...the same kind that Jesus built with His disciples. You see folks...being a born-again believer is not just about getting our ticket punched to heaven...just as important is having a close personal relationship with our creator...our Lord and Savior...our heavenly Father...while we continue to walk this journey here on planet earth! Can you think of a higher compliment than for the God of the universe to say...I want a personal...intimate relationship with you! What this means is...He is interested in real conversation with us and listening to us as we listen to Him. He truly longs to spend time with us. He desires us to put our faith and trust and dependence in Him so that He can provide for us and bless us and meet our daily needs. And the fact of the matter is that we truly do owe Him everything including our time...right! How awesome is it that here we are... two thousand years later sense Jesus died and rose again..in this wicked and sin filled world...and Father God desires to build a intimate relationship with us just as Jesus did when He walked this earth with the disiples. And that relationship is going to last for forever...because we are going to spend forever with Him in heaven. So i guess my question or thought...how much time each day do we actually spend talking to...worshiping...giving praise...learning about...with the very Person....God... that created us...the very Person...God that we are going to spend eternity with? Think about it!
I Have No Regrets About My Past...My Past Is Who I Am Today...Born Again!

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Matthew 6:33
“What is the meaning of “To God be the glory?” God is the Supreme Being and Creator of all. To glorify Him means that we are to acknowledge the greatness and splendor of His Majesty through honor, worship and praise of which He alone is worthy because He is God of all.
“And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.”
Philippians 1:6
"Then you will discern the fear of the LORD and discover the knowledge of God. For the LORD gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding. He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk in integrity."
Proverbs 2:5-6
I love Mark 9:14-24-----In this miracle of Jesus I love the very last part-----The man said "Lord , I believe, help my unbelief."----I take it this man believed but doubted, I take this an had a somewhat belief, but not really strong belief ----I often idenify with this man, and several times a week I find myself saying--"Lord, I believe, but help my unbelief.".....Some may well think this aa a weakness, but it is a strength----remember Thomas was a doubter, but through his doubt his faith got strong...............jus say'n-------------
Our prayers & thoughts are with you and your doctors this morning
GOD BLESS--------That old song "Trust & Obey" just popped in mind
Every time I go in for a procedure I always take with me ---- in my mind
"Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will wear no evil; For you are with me;"
FOR ME----, in my time of need for strength & courage this always carries me through
An Invitation
“Jesus said to them, 'You faithless people! How long must I be with you? How long must I put up with you? Bring the boy to me.'” ~ Mark 9:19
We love Jesus’ miracles. They wow and inspire us. They do everything a mountaintop experience should do – awaken something within us, provide a sense of the extraordinary, and motivate us.
The downside is that we often think of the miracles as the end, the result, the goal. Jesus’ physical miracles are only the beginning. Just like every mountaintop experience, they are gifts meant to transform us. They are invitations to change, opportunities to prepare for the majority of life (the plains) and the most difficult phases of life (the valleys).
The physical miracles are an invitation. They call us to the table and provide a mysteriously beautiful taste of what the feast is all about. But it is not enough to take our invitation, to treasure it, to frame it and tell people about it. The invitation quickly becomes meaningless if we do not take advantage of the offer.
Jesus is offering relationship. He is offering to share a meal together. A feast! The mountain tops are just to get our attention, to hint at what might be possible if we commit to belief.
Sometimes you can hear Jesus’ frustration in the midst of His miracles. In Mark 9, He is prepping for a miracle but is frustrated with the lack of belief.
The mountaintops are not the end. They are not the destination, or the goal. They are terrain for the journey, meant to equip us, to inspire us, to invite us. The real heart of the journey is a meal at the table. The truest miracle is the possibility of intimacy with the Lord, the opportunity to participate in His Kingdom.

"This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it!" is a verse from
Psalm 118:24
And right there it is...
Careful Ranb2khz .....you puff ole plugger up to much and his wife will have to knock him down a couple notches and she already has her hands full with him.....You may or may not know how those ole 18 wheelin gear jammin ratchet jawin truck drivers are...wink...
Sorry plugger...i just coulding help myself!!!!!
Amen brother! The power of prayer...and in our times of need....having that "Peace" of knowing that our names are being lifted up by others is awesome.....yep...theres that word "peace" that you brought up and seems to be a theme this morning...wink....have a awesome day!
Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.
James 5:16
Good morning Ranb2khz...well...im like 3 days late but i did just lift you up in prayer...
And....
Isnt it awesome...like with that scripture... when something is going on and first thing we read is that verse or verses that says....here "I AM"....I got ya!
Have a awesome day brother!
Good morning plugger and thank you for your awesome words from your heart...and....good morning all y'all....i know you believer folks know these two scriptures but i have to post them anyway....
And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:7
“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.
John 14:27
When i think of peace within ole Rick Sane...that be me....ill share a couple examples...i think about when im sitting on the river bank fishing listening to the water run by...not a care in the world...the crazy world is like a million miles away and completly out of my mind...waiting to see my bobber start bouncing and disappear under the water....looking around at the beauty of creation in the mountains and all the different blooms and leaves color....seeing a deer...bear...squirrel...rabbit....flock of ducks or geese fly in....as i said...not a care in the world...in perfect peace with myself and my surroundings. In Psalm 23:2 it says....He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.........i totally get that! And we remember....Romans 1:20...."For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse."
I so see God in His creation and i rejoice in it and from that i have His peace and feel His presense there.
Then on the other hand....back when i had covid pretty bad for 14 day couple years ago....im single...i was home alone for those two weeks...and i had no doubt that if i went to the hospital that i would be admitted and just had that thought that i would never come home. About day 4....thru much conversation with Jesus....i had made up my mind....put my faith and trust in Jesus...that if it was my time to die and go to my eternal reward in heaven...then i was going to die at home...with Jesus by my side...and it was all going to be cool...and from that....a peace came over me that i was ok with whatever Gods plan for me was....and...here i am typing this and giving glory to God!!
So my point....kinda sorta...one might think to different kinds of peace....but in my mind....yes...totally different circumstances....but....both had and have Gods hand in them.....how cool is that!!!!
I totally get that in this life....we can find a kind of secular peace that can have in some way a calming effect of us....but in comparrison to the peace that Jesus gives those that are born-again...the difference is maybe as far as the east is from the west!
Every day with Jesus
Is sweeter than the day before
Every day with Jesus
I love Him more and more,
Jesus saves and keeps me
And He’s the One I’m waiting for;
Every day with Jesus
Is sweeter than the day before.
Our Daily Trials
“No one undergoing a trial should say, “I am being tempted by God.” For God is not tempted by evil, and He Himself doesn’t tempt anyone.” ~ James 1:13
Just about every day, we face trials. They are sometimes small, like an irritating driver. And sometimes they are overwhelmingly large, like the death of a friend.
Trials are an ever-present reality of our daily life. We often tag these as "bad" things. And they make us feel like failures – afraid or stressed out.
But there is one important thing about trials that often gets overlooked. A trial is not a temptation. We often say God is tempting us. He never does. Temptation, as James says, happens when we are dragged away by our own desires.
But, God does allow trials. The difference between a temptation and a trial is that a tempter is cheering for you to lose and someone putting you through a trial or test wants desperately for you to win. A healthy perspective must learn to delineate between what tempts us and what tries us. One must be avoided and the other pressed into.
God is cheering for us. He allows trials because they help us to grow, develop character, and produce intimacy in relationships. They also give us an opportunity to show the strength of our faith, the power of Christ within us.
Although they may be difficult, our daily trials are not inherently “bad” or “evil”. They are just a particular form of circumstance that we can choose to live under or over. If we choose to see things from God’s perspective, trials become an opportunity to form the character of Christ within us and release our true identity.

Growing in Faith
"By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the one who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence. And because of His glory and excellence, He has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share His divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires."
"In view of all this, make every effort to respond to God’s promises. Supplement your faith with a generous provision of moral excellence, and moral excellence with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with patient endurance, and patient endurance with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love for everyone."
"The more you grow like this, the more productive and useful you will be in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But those who fail to develop in this way are shortsighted or blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their old sins."
"So, dear brothers and sisters, make every effort [strive] to be certain that you really are called and chosen by God. Do these things, and you will never fall away. Then God will give you a grand entrance into the eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ."
~ 2 Peter 1:3-11

Bottom line is the Palestinian Israeli war is a war against GOD! and God's Book The Bible. Seems fitting to post that here imo I did do a search for Palestine but no boards, can you provide a link to one of these boards? Thanks
Chartmaster, I left this message, but removed your other two for being “off-topic”. This one is borderline “off-topic” as well. The Bible board exists for the discussion of Biblical principles, and I would appreciate it if you and Vintage1776 would not use it as a platform to hash-out your indifferences concerning the current, or former, Israel/Palestine state of affairs. Do a IHUB search for Palestine and you will find several boards that would welcome that particular discussion. Thank you and Vintage1776 for your understanding. God bless, and have a great week!

I still don't understand it...so your saying Israel seceded from Palestine, like Texas who wants to secede from our US union? So if Texas does secede from our union we should go after Texans?

God’s Armor
"And everyone assembled here will know that the Lord rescues His people, but not with sword and spear. This is the Lord’s battle, and He will give you to us!” ~ 1 Samuel 17:47
After young David, the shepherd boy, convinced King Saul to let him go out and fight Goliath, the first thing the king did was dress David in his own armor and bronze helmet. But David said, “I cannot walk with these” (1 Samuel 17:39). So David went out to face Goliath with his own “armor”: a tunic, a staff, a sling, five stones, and faith. For that task, that was all David needed to defeat his enemy.
When we face the giants that threaten us in our life, there is a temptation to put on “armor” God didn’t design for us to wear. It may be the armor of this world (position, power, education, wealth, influence) or it may be armor that we’ve seen a fellow Christian successfully wear. It may take a few battles for us to learn that God has provided all the armor we need: truth, righteousness, the Gospel, faith, salvation, Scripture, and prayer (Ephesians 6:14-18).
Face your giants today clothed in the armor of Christ.
Let God prepare you for battle, and you will be victorious.

This morning in my reading of Ezekiel 33, there was so much in there that really rang a bell with me.....Ezekiel, God appointed him to be a watchman, I wondered if in today's world if Christians were not also appointed to be watchmen, then the duties of a watchman, I wondered about the modern Christian, not judging just wondering, good thinking material. Then in there it speaks of iniquities. Some time ago I posted concerning "Sin---Iniquities--Transgressions----Yes all 3 are sin but ever so many places I read I keep running into that word iniquity, I have learned this word and many, many times looked it up, over & over again, thinking I may have misunderstood----simply put, "iniquity" is the twisting of God's word. Maybe this is why I choose to just believe the Bible as written , I do not need to change it. But I always wonder, not question, just wonder if the Modern Christian is not really like the ancient Hebrew children, we make the Scripture say what we want to hear, we twist God's word to fit our desires, then we sin because we think it is ok because God's word say what I think it means. A watchman for God is not to do this. A little example here if I may.....some years back I had a preacher who did not see eye to eye with my thinking of Scripture, I felt he preached what he thought folks wanted to hear or all on what he thought, not what God's word was----anyway---after many church services I would go home, pull out my Bibles and reference books and and start looking for answers......IMPORTANT thing here in doing this is: 1st--ask God for guidance --2nd I always looked for why I was wrong, what is it that I do not understand--3rd never once did I look for why another was wrong------God always answered my need, sometimes right away, sometimes a day or so later & sometimes way down the road when I least expected------INIQUITY---- a trap so easy for any of us to fall into, especially here in the USA, as a nation we are so blest that the twisting of the Scriptures gives us our hearts desires----think that is called greed, from my past experience I am well versed in this area of life. There was a time in my life where money was absolutely no problem---I wanted, I purchased, I almost instantly wanted more.....YEP I had money, my father-in-law said that everything I touched turned to Gold....I was active in church, I gave lot of money, I helped lots of people less fortunate, by any standard I was a "GOOD" person....PLEASE NOTICE----"I DID",-- not God's will but my will----heavy thinking here....I did and left God out. One day I had irritated God so much He kicked me out of the back of my trailer and put me out of work for almost 2 years-----Best thing that ever happened to me---all the pain, all the finical loss, all the struggles of life, all the disappointments....All that made me a better person, all of the bad stuff that fell on me was of my own making. I love our brother Tena's testimonies on how far removed he was from God, but my friends, taking nothing from Tenac here, If you practice iniquity you are as far removed from God as Tenac or I ever was----think on it & listen to the Holy Spirit, He is the only one who will lead you in the right path
GOD BLESS & have a faithful day
Thank you for the words of encouragement , Hope all is well this morning. Have a Blest day
Thank you sharing the great advice on prayer. I believe that prayer is one of those unknown areas of the Christian life that many non-believers are unable to wrap their heads around. And it would seem that many Christians may struggle with it as well. For me, I have certain things that I pray for almost repetitively: family, friends, lost souls, persecuted Church, born/unborn children, missionaries/pastors/evangelists, those suffering throughout the world, our nation and world leaders, etc. But also throughout my day I - like you - chat with God, albeit I need to do more chatting with Him. And I don’t believe that to be disrespectful at all. As Scripture instructs us:
"Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” ~ 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Y’all have a blessed Sunday!
•
A couple of weeks ago I had a person tell me that they just didn't know how to pray. I could tell that they felt really bad about this. I can only speak on this from my view point, just my opinion here. Prayer is talking with God just as you talk with a friend....You can tell God everything because He already knows everything, He just wants us to talk with Him about our life, the good, the bad & the ugly. Now if you struggle with the thought of prayer think back years & years ago, back in Jesus's time, His disciples had sat in on His many sermons, sat in on His many miracles, had walked with Him and had Him directly teach them, yet in Luke 11 we read that His disciples ask Him "to teach us to pray". I often say I have coffee & chat with God, some may say this is very disrespectful, but years ago when my earthly dad was still alive I would have coffee & chat with him, when I could. I try to think of my Father in heaven as I thought of my earthly father....I loved my dad, my dad was a good Christian man, but I chat with my Heavenly Father as I chatted with my earthly dad...Some years ago I explained this to a Marine vet who suffered from war stuff, but I also had to explain that if his earthly father was not a good man, talk with God like he wished his earthly father to be. You doubt, that is OK, Thomas the disciple was indeed a doubter. Sometimes we just have to say "GOD. !!" if you are there I need your help-----in sincerity not in testing----To me, Prayer is no more that just talking things over with God. There is a story in Mark 9 about a man who ask Jesus to help his son, cutting it short here, the man said to Jesus, with tears, "Lord I believe---Help my unbelief.!!"
Jesus healed this man's son------many mornings in my chat time with God I have to use this Scripture---"Lord, help my unbelief" or Lord, help me to strengthen my faith-----You don't know how to pray----Try this---Say you are sitting there with problems & you re up that creek without a paddle--Just say "GOD, I NEED TO TALK"-----keep it simple, God knows your heart
GOD BLESS
...i got my first motorcycle when i was 14...that was 1970. The reason i got it....was to be able to get around from farm to farm and make more money helping other farmers when i had the time in place of a bycycle getting around. That was my first year at SGHS. That was also the year that i started sippin on a little beer and smoking a little weed. That was the first year that i started listening to rock n roll. And probably the first year that i was smoking cigarettes regularly. That was the year that life started to change in so many ways for this simple country boy that had had a regular normal life up to this point in time...living in farm country here in Greene County TN...down at the foot of the mountain in the St. James...Cedar Creek area. And in those first fifteen years...Sunday morning and Sunday night...most Wednesday nights...we were in church. Now dont get me wrong...i didnt jump off the cliff all at once...even in my progressive helter-skelter life thru high school...the craziness came by bits and pieces. Me and my close friends we put money in our pockets in the hay fields and tobacco patches of family and most every farmer around...we worked hard. However...and as i said...we started with the beer and weed...and each year thru high school...got a little more intense with what we were doing. And by my junior year and that senior year...i guess you could say that i majored in drugs and minored in booze...or...vise versa! I had grown my hair long...doing uppers and downers...acid...angel dust...PCP...every drug under the sun to get high on...all the way to sticking needles in my arm. I dont remember ever taking part in school activities...never going to football...basketball games...my life at that early age was centered around getting high...the "Age of Aquarius". I was still living at home and working on the farm...but...was flying high most of the time from dope during the day and dope and booze at night. So think about that....i was a normal kid...so to speak...up until the age of 15....then...i jumped off the cliff and traveled a road of drugs and booze and the insanity of that lifestyle for the next 25 years...how does that happen? So my point this morning...never say never in the arena of drugs and booze. Think you cant get hooked...addiction is a monster that takes no prisoners...addiction will grab you up and swallow you whole and spit you out and you may...or may not survive...why take that chance! Ive been clean and sobor for 28 years now...and how did i do that....ill give myself a little pat on the back because ive struggled from time to time but thru the power of the Holy Spirit living in me and my walk with Jesus....ive been totally free of all the stuff and lifestyle...as i said for 28 years...and...i give Him all the credit and glory....because....like all things in life....it is that relationship with Jesus that makes all the difference! BUT....i have to say this...ive known a good many people that i have no doubt have been born-again...and at some point in time slipped back into the grasp of the demon of addiction...that is just how powerful it is....no...i did NOT say that it is more powerful than God the Father God the Son God the Holy Spirit....what im saying is that in our humanness...our flesh...our sin nature....addiction and satan and his demons and the world can push those buttons and drag us back into that dark mary clay of addiction in the blink of the eye....wrong place at the wrong time....right place at the right time....yes...i totally believe...that once a alcoholic or druggy always a alcoholic or druggy....but with a relationship with Jesus...we can conquer that demon....im living proof of that!

Good Morn'g folks here on the Bible Board, Thank you Lord for another day here on earth-----Ranb2khz I cannot tell you how much I appreciate your post this morning. Yesterday in your post to me you said "I do believe you to be a righteous man." I got to thinking on that and did some look-up stuff, Too be righteous, I after reading much on this found just how short on this I came. It pestered the heck out of me that I appeared to be righteous while in truth I really missed the boat. Once again I woke up in the weird hours with the thought that "the righteous live by faith"----by faith God credits our account with righteousness. This is really deep subject, but, as Jesus taught, I knocked and it was opened, I sought & I found, I asked and it was given. There is so much in Scripture on this subject and over the years I have read & re-read this, now I get to live the meaning. The just will live by faith. I have known for years that I have a strong faith, in Romans 1 it says the "righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith ---there are many, many Scripture references on this, but I have come to believe that The Holy Spirit teaches us these Scriptures when God wants us to clearly understand or when we are spiritually mature enough to understand -- Like I said a big, big subject here, & once again thanks. Between you and Tenac you have your hands full keeping me half way straight
GOD BLESS and you folks here on the Bible Board have a beautiful day
