TORONTO, Feb. 15, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) --

$GCM Mining Corp. (“GCM Mining” or the “Company”) (TSX: GCM, OTCQX: TPRFF) announced today that its Segovia Operations are continuing to perform as expected in 2022 with gold production of 16,474 ounces of gold in January, up from 15,055 ounces of gold in the month of January 2021.
Segovia’s trailing 12-months’ total gold production at the end of January 2022 was 207,808 ounces, up almost 1% over last year.

GCM Mining processed a total of 42,015 tonnes in January 2022 at its Maria Dama plant at Segovia, representing a daily processing rate of 1,355 tonnes per day (“tpd”), compared with 41,426 tonnes and 1,336 tpd in January 2021. Operating results in January 2022 reflected a scheduled semi-annual four-day plant shutdown for regular maintenance compared with a two-day maintenance shutdown in January 2021.
Taking into consideration the maintenance shutdowns, the Maria Dama plant processed an average of 1,556 tonnes per operating day in January 2022 compared with 1,428 tonnes per operating day in January last year.

Segovia’s head grades averaged 13.5 g/t in January 2022 compared with 12.6 g/t in January last year.
The activities associated with the expansion of the Maria Dama plant from 1500 to 2000 tpd are progressing well and all of the upgrades will be completed by the end of March, except for the expansion of the crushing facility which has been impacted by supply chain delays and is now expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2022.

The new 200 tpd polymetallic plant at Segovia, commissioned in the fourth quarter of 2021, continued to operate in test mode in January, processing an average of approximately 107 tpd of tailings resulting in the production of 81 tonnes of zinc concentrate and 85 tonnes of lead concentrate which have been stockpiled and are awaiting shipment later in the first quarter of 2022.
Payable production from the concentrates is estimated to total approximately 63,000 pounds of zinc, 97,000 pounds of lead, 8,500 ounces of silver and less than 50 ounces of gold.
Actual payable quantities are subject to change and will be finalized once the concentrates are shipped.
GCM Mining continues to expect that the daily processing rate of the polymetallic plant will reach its normal operating capacity in the second quarter of 2022.

GCM Mining will be releasing its 2021 fourth quarter and annual financial results and its 2022 guidance, together with the updated mineral reserve and resource estimates for its Segovia Operations, on or about March 31, 2022. Webcast details will be announced in early March.

Monthly Dividend Declaration

GCM Mining also announced today that its Board of Directors has declared the next monthly dividend of CA$0.015 per common share will be paid on March 15, 2022 to shareholders of record as of the close of business on February 28, 2022.

According to media reports of early July, the People's Bank of China
is mulling the possibility of phasing out the dollar as the
reference currency for the yuan exchange rate, and to start using
gold as the reference point.

The reports have not been confirmed officially, but analysts are
warning that the step, if taken, will weaken the yuan and
destabilise China's already troubled economy, ultimately provoking
a new bout of the economic crisis worldwide.

Beijing's possible move to back the yuan with gold would not be
meant as a strategic measure to strengthen the national currency
and increase its attractiveness as an investment medium.

Rather, it would be a flaunt aimed at demonstrating to the world
(and to the USA in particular) that China is capable of taking the
risks associated with a departure from the dollar standard.

Experts warn however that, apart from benefiting no-one, such a
decision may actually have catastrophic consequences.

Separating the yuan exchange rate from the US dollar may further
weaken the American currency in the long run; in addition, China's
monetary policy would become very much restricted, believes Evgeny
Nadorshin, chief economist at AFK Sistema.
"The yuan will start fluctuating severely against the dollar and
other major reserve currencies.
This will affect the Chinese economy, which currently has serious
problems as it is: the export revenues are falling, and the
statistics for freight traffic and electricity consumption indicate
a significant slowdown in business activity," says Aleksandr
Golovtsov, head of the research department at UralSib Asset
Management.

Possible effect on Russia
When it comes to discussing possible consequences for Russia
however, opinions differ.
Aleksandr Osin, chief economist at Finam Management, actually
believes Moscow could benefit from a gold-backed yuan because this
would help Russia in its economic relations with China.

On the other hand, the greatest danger to Russia being highlighted
by most experts would be an increase in competition from Chinese
commodities, which will be offered more aggressively in the export
market due to the shrinking of domestic demand.
"China's demand for Russian raw materials, in particular for crude
oil, metals and fertilisers, will be growing at a slower pace [than
is currently the case]," Golovtsov notes.

It will take many months to try and stabilize what has never been witnessed before. In the meantime, the job losses will be staggering. Credit will vanish. Cash will be the court's order...KING!

VBDG is 5 days away from next earnings report. With company guidance of full year record sales & earnings, I think VBDG is a sleeping giant. Guidance implies the last 3 quarters of the year will be at a bare mininum at +.08 EPS annual pace. Using PE ratios of 30, 20, or even 10, it represents being a multi-bagger. I expect VBDG to follow suit like previous alerts AYSI, DGLY, EGMI, and ZYXI did, which we successfully predicted would report all time record sales and net income resulting in all of them exploding to all time record high stock prices and being multi-baggers for many of us. VBDG is next IMO for the next 3 quarterly reports.

SIRI - if the merger news come out. (if it gets approved)

Scenario 1 - The hype and news will get SIRI IMO to $4 or a bit higher. But remembers SIRI will have to pay for XM shareholders. In other words Sirius will have to give about 4 shares of Sirius for each XM share.

So IMO It will go up 50-100% within 2 days. But then it will come down as more information comes on the merger and how SIRIUS will pay for it.


As for right now, according to the chart is getting close to the resistance at the high 2.20's can it break that? Or will it come down again until the merger gets announcer one way or the other.


Many say Satellite radio will die, I personally don't think so. SIRI/XM once merge will become a company in the BLACK for once. But, that will take 2-3 years before we see it take effect. What will the PPS be between there?

If you look at the weekly chart IMO it will tell us where we are headed. IMO is up, especially with the merger.


Scenario 2 - Everyone knows the merger is coming, so another thing that can happen is that SIRI takes a dive to $1.50 despite the merger news. I have seen MM's do that and shorting the heck out of them. After that huge scare, it will rise fast and big.


Scenario 3 - NO MERGER and it goes below a $1

I've traded SIRI for a profit so far, i'm looking to get in, but not sure.
