Watch this today. Expecting a morning gap.
That might actually make me happy. Lmao.
Get ready for a massive run to $25pps target!
A small dilution would not hurt at all, agreed.
This is USA company, has production and improved products of type already used by Law Enforcement. This is huge need for security and safety of
USA in many areas, and politically positive for both parties to activate for our personal and national protection.
Soon as we get TSA and EU testing standards completed, I am expecting PR
boost effect from those announcements and this should get us some orders in USA (and maybe Canada) . . . at least range of $1-2 stock boost increase? Another month or two time range for above to be completed?
If I were company . . . I would now by traveling around and getting customer custom SW input ideas and specs for all kinds of folks.
Well I would expect some fully diluted shares will keep the boat a float a bit longer. Besides something is bound to break. Government decisions and product trial projects just drain the bank. I believe it is not so much that 1st Detect be proven, as to government spending some cash on the product. Approval time can be relentless.
In the mean time a hopefully healthy dilution up to $30 million worth will not all be needed. Dilution is dilution, no matter how you look at it.
I am still of opinion this company is closest to political reality of increasing need for this type of tech in passenger and cargo quick check
scenario. Current administration should have put a first buy into its
border wall funding bill.
Looking more like to buy under $3, for my second purchase price.
Hook this company latest tech to cloud analytics data base comparing of
potential terror socio-psychology behavior in crowd + known felon, etc.
facial recognition SW search . . . and you have a winner.
As far as MJ and medical condition via breathe sensing, that would be secondary order fields for our tech.
TSA and EU use-testing standards acceptance success, should naturally open up Canada and Calif. MJ market needs order for both Law enforcement and
employee equipment safety verification.
Going, going down the tube! Hence if we do not see the 52 week low approach once again. 52 Week Range $1.6400 - $8.1500. Looks like a fun game here. The playing field is long and wild.
Now in reality if the news was on revenue I would safely bet at this level.
Otherwise, it like playing with a snake. Will it bite? Up or down?
Magnificent run though.
Politics move slow. Also money allowances to buy the product. There are numerous more reasons.
I bot small amount and waiting also for stock price to keep dropping, until
we get special order from Feds level? Great need for this product and service. Its my guess this company is closest to product order.
Why have we not heard from the results from recent Law enforcement Convention?
I say we get an order in next three months . . . lets watch and maybe it happens?
Now your catching on. As you asked so many days ago. How low will it go.
ASTC $2 was base before news so room to divvy before new news?
3.48 closer, I need lower to buy.
ASTC 3.95 getting close?
The fall from 8.15 should easily provide the potential for covering a 'placement' offering, to secure additional needed funding to keep the lights on?
I will watch Friday for possible first buy-in.
The small mobile device MS breathe reader company products may not be able to match the readout accuracy (which remains to be seen), and the already foot-in-the-door EU and TSA USA qualifying testing reasonable soon to be completed by ASTC?
First orders may be near from Law Enforcement and some businesses in USA and Canada, as they need to rather rapidly get themselves up-to-speed in checking passengers and workers and operators of equipment for narcs and 'harmful powders'. That could rap stock price above $8.15 range.
Current administration could encourage funding for ASTC devices, as part of border wall enhancement, to my way of thinking. Texas company!
And, I am sure Mr. Sessions would hardly agree as means to show Administration is developing Anti-Narc and Border Enhancement jointly.
This should not be the case for a promising stock.
That embedded question will make this stock a trader once it grounds out.
Think stock now has great catalyst but not confirmed, I need lower to float my wait out, but nice lotto ticket for any holders, I'm just waiting for the compelling lotto ticket..
… wich 200K- not normal -15%
Ok I'll take a stab and say more safe in 3's and then hope for lower ladders till next news.
ASTC 4.75 where is bottom on this run?
It’s Worded really good! Qualified for evaluation! hahahahh!

That is the truth about profits. Nothing better than a high flyer like today. Junk to gold for the time being.
Only reason Institutions own 14.34 percent of this company is because of who his daddy is. If they are waiting for profits, it will be a while.
Evaluation is the key word.
look at the quarterly statement and you will short this stock.
It is looking to make run right by $8.50 at the close.
Only 4.1 million shares outstanding.
Institutions own 14.34 percent.
That means short squeeze can put this stock at $15 or more.
The wacky market was trying to bring this down with everything else earlier
Did just open my account and see.... weeeeee u have been collecting this for a while as posted, toda unecpected huuuuge move... waiting but for sure selling 1/3 today
Congrats . Been lingering here for a bit
Now the big question is: will evaluation lead to qualification?
especially today!
III agree. This POS is gonna BOOOOOOOOOM BOOOOOOOOOM sooner or later.
About 9 months free cash flow and no debt. If no contracts by the Jan. 2019 dilution is possible but the TSA timeline is set to beat that. It'll be close but with contracts this is extremely undervalued.
Really? Tomorrow? Unless you have insider news. No reason for it to go up!
The financial press release is "stuffy". I would tend to say, Besides myself liking the products the company has in the working. The financial press release offered nothing in regards to forward financial guidance activity. Smoke screen press release, look here at the future speculation and ignore now. 6 million dollars left in the expense account, and cash burn continues that is logically going to burn the expense account dry.
OPINION WITHOUT INTENDED INSULT.
I've been in and out of this pig since 2007 so I have a decent knowledge of them....I guess what it comes down to is with ASTC it's a flipper ,always has been,,,,,,usually if you buy at what might be considered a bottom,,,,,you'll get a pop out of it.....Eventually,if you have the patience.
Boone Junior makes it difficult for anyone to hold long term
As well he is running out of cash .....so I'm not going to argue with you and agree on most but still stand by what I said about no one being on the TSA list for ETD devices ,,,,,except third party ....no one has went through their rigorous testing standards and process and been put on the list.
I'm currently not in the stock .....I threw in the towel and will remain out for an indefinite period;Going Back to not caring what Junior does now Matter of fact now that I'm out of it ....it's probably time for it to rip higher bwahaaaa!
P.S. I realize Junior is good at carrot dangling !!
Here is a fact that shouldn't be overlooked....this company (1st Detect) and this product (mms-1000) have been in the market place for 10 years...10 YEARS, and they have sold 0, thats zero units...
they have marketed this thing to every industry imaginable; healthcare, transportation, food and beverage, gas and oil, and all kinds of government agencies in between...even partnered with key players in some of these markets and still have been unable to move a single unit....all they have accomplished are a handful of development deals, but none of them have come to fruition...
all they have today is essentially what NASA gave them 10 years ago...do you realize at that time NASA gave them this technology they also included a 2 million dollar "development contract" so it could be used by NASA on their probes....do you know who NASA ended up going with? ill give you a hint not 1st DETECT ---try SwRI (what does that tell you about this company/product?)
Bfuzzy You seem clever enough so I'm certain you can figure this out
You're overlooking the fact that on that
FEBRUARY 8TH 2018 TSA AIR CARGO SCREENING TECHNOLOGY LIST
Also known as ACSTL
There are currently no systems in the ETD Qualified Technology section.
You stated, "once 1st Detect gets approved they'll springboard straight to the top"
Yes they will ,unless someone else is approved by the TSA process before them ... all of the others are 3rd party venders whom are approved but... did not pass the TSA evaluation or were not tested by TSA
L3 and Smiths are neither one listed in the ETD qualified section
PAGE 29 OF 32 >>>
"The TCL identifies third-party ETD consumable items tested by TSA and found to have comparable performance to similar type consumables supplied by the security system manufacturers. Third party consumable items not on the TCL either did not pass the TSA evaluation or were not tested by TSA."
Might I suggest you actually read what I am saying and read the PDF so you might understand better.
https://www.tsa.gov/sites/default/files/non-ssi_acstl.pdf
I also understand quite well that you do not like Junior Pickens,,,,he has exacerbated many shareholders here over the years.
We'll see what happens ... I'm just posting what I find when I feel it is relevant.
What I stated is factual and relevant, not just speculation, unlike your own "opinion"
LOL...there is not one mention of 1st Detect in that entire document...which somehow you surmise means that once 1st Detect gets approved they'll springboard straight to the top...LOL
What this reaffirms to me is Pickens probably had a 10 minute phone conversation with some government official who knows somebody at the TSA that told him to send some additional info in the mail ---which Pickens then spun into a press release as "Tracer 1000 Begins Testing for Passenger Screening at Airports"!!!! just so the stock would pop and he could unload some shares out of a third party trading account...
btw are you familiar with L3 and or SMiths Detect who's names are all over that PDF? ---nobody special except multi-billion dollar incumbents in the security screening biz...Im sure Astrowreck and its 8 million dollars will take them out....LOL
I appreciate the due diligence as I wait on this reversed split time bomb.
Some might find this interesting,I know I did
The following PDF file is the "TSA Air Cargo Screening Technology List (ACSTL)" DATED FEBRUARY 8TH,2018
There's is a lot of information within this PDF but I'm focusing primarily on ETD devices(EXPLOSIVE TRACE DETECTION),which is what 1St Detects ETD device is currently undergoing tests for "THE ACSQT" AIR CARGO SCREENING QUALIFICATOION TEST"
..................
ON page 15 of 32 pages within this PDF dated February 8th,2018 it shows >>>>
NON-SENSITIVE SECURITY INFORMATION
Air Cargo Screening Technology List v10.4 Page 15 of 32 February 8, 2018
3 Explosive Trace Detection (ETD) Devices
Technology Description: Desktop or handheld devices which detect explosive residual material on typical cargo substrates through the application and analysis of a swab based collection process.
Refer to Appendix A, TSA’s Trace Consumables List (TCL) for the TSA-recommended third-party ETD Trace Consumables vendors.
3.1 Qualified ETD Technology
There are currently no systems in the ETD Qualified Technology section.
Notes:
(1) Specification of “Wand” indicates a wand is required to operate the device while specification of “No Wand” indicates a wand must not be used to operate the device.
LOOK AT IT ....IT IS BLANK ...NO VENDORS ,,,,reminder this is current as of February 8th,2018
......................
It says above >>>>> "Refer to Appendix A, TSA’s Trace Consumables List (TCL) for the TSA-recommended third-party ETD Trace Consumables vendors."
So I went to the APPENDIX A and found there are "3RD PARTY VENDORS" there are 5 companies listed there and the pages to the end of the PDF list devices and parts of devices but,the fact that on page 15 there are no vendors listed is telling me that once TSA approves 1st Detects ETD (Explosives Trace Detection device) that would put 1st Detect in the number 1 slot on page 15
Anyone interested or has the time can check what I am talking about and opinions on what this might mean overall would be welcome .... because there are 3rd party vendors ,but doesn't appear to be anything with the capabilities (especially the wand capabilities of 1st detect) and there TRACER 1000
BTW in case people don't know it 1st DETECT has and is working on developing at least 14 different detection products .... look on their website under "PRODUCTS"
http://www.1stdetect.com/
HERE is the PDF link to discussion above about the "vendors" >>>>

Astrotech Corporation (NASDAQ: ASTC) announced today that its 1st Detect subsidiary has received a Gold Award for its TRACER 1000 explosives trace detector (ETD) in the Best CBRNE Detection System category at American Security Today’s ‘ASTORS’ Homeland Security Awards program.
“We are honored and humbled to receive the award, as it is a recognition of our core philosophy of differentiation through innovation,” said Raj Mellacheruvu, Chief Executive Officer of 1st Detect. “It has long been known that mass spectrometry is the superior technology for detecting explosives. We have solved the ease of use and ruggedness challenges of traditional mass spectrometry and we now have instruments deployed and in service throughout Europe. In addition, with our near zero false alarms, our instruments cost less than the competing technology and we are quickly becoming recognized as technological leaders in the industry.”
The Annual ‘ASTORS’ Awards, now in its fifth year, is the preeminent U.S. Homeland Security Awards Program, highlighting the most cutting-edge and forward-thinking security solutions coming onto the market today. The program is specifically designed to honor distinguished government and vendor solutions that deliver enhanced value, benefit and intelligence to end users in a variety of government, homeland security, enterprise and public safety vertical markets.
“Today, the United States is increasingly focusing on protecting public spaces, as well as IT/cybersecurity networks, and they are calling on innovative companies like 1st Detect to help them do so,” according to Tammy Waitt, co-founder and editorial director of American Security Today. “‘ASTORS’ nominations are evaluated on their technical innovation, interoperability, specific impact within the category, overall impact to the industry, relatability to other industry technologies and application feasibility outside of the industry.”
The TRACER 1000 is the only certified ETD that uses mass spectrometry, the world’s gold standard instrumentation used to identify complex chemical compounds. Checkpoint and cargo certification was received from the European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC) enabling TRACER 1000 sales in Europe and much of the rest of the world. Additionally, on September 9, 2020, the TRACER 1000 passed the non-detection testing of the U.S. Transportation Security Administration’s (TSA) Air Cargo Screening Technology Qualification Test (ACSQT). Upon successful completion of detection testing, which is the next and final phase, the TRACER 1000 will be added to the Air Cargo Screening Technology List (ACSTL) as an “approved” ETD for sales to the cargo screening market within the United States.
“After many years of hard work, innovation and investment, we are poised for continued growth in the security industry which will be followed by product introductions in the fields of agriculture and medicine. This is an exciting time as we begin our scale cycle and we are pleased to have our superior technology be recognized by a leading voice in the security industry,” concluded Mellacheruvu.
