Arlo feb 5th conference call and earnings. This will blow the shorts out of the water and some bankrupt. They have done a good job dragging the stock down but unfortunately with this good news they will be punished. New product line up coming all through 2019 as well. Remember Costco target Walmart and many other retailers sell them constantly. Cloud storage income. and accessories and camera units are flying off the shelf.

I urge all shareholders to review these terrible reviews for the software that have plagued all customers. I am an Arlo customer who did NOT upgrade to the latest and I have zero issues with old versions. However, everyone I know that has Arlo products is unable to effectively use their cameras since the upgrades occurred in October 2018.

"Major problem with new 2.7.0 for iOS. Updated my iPad (12.1.1) and it take literally minutes to initiate the Device screen and an additional minute or two to load the library, even if there are only one or two clips to load.

I had no problems with the previous app. The new one now shows two columns, which seems nice since I can view all 5 cameras without scrolling; HOWEVER, when one is selected for live view it stays the small size and is very difficult to view. Previously the image was the full width of the screen and easy to see. If this is the same on my iPhone, it will be impossible to view!


Indeed, the app is really useless as it is...the entire system unworkable. I am afraid to update the app on my iPhone both because it is my only working link and if it too has two columns, it will be impossible to view live feed even if the speed problem is fixed.

Hope this is addressed quickly....hard to understand.

"I see two columns in portrait mode and three columns in landscape mode on my 11” iPad Pro. When I go to live view the image stays small, but I have the option to expand the image to full screen by touching the two arrow icon in the upper right corner of the Live View image. You should be able to touch that icon and go to full screen...which is truly full screen in landscape mode.

The horrible delays and crashes are the the worst part for me...missing the snapshot and record icons is next in line."

1/7/19-Arlo unveils a home security system with Apple HomeKit support

Arlo is already known for its 4K security camera and doorbell, but for CES 2019, the company has launched a complete security system. The key component is a new multi-purpose sensor that can detect window and door breaches, motion, smoke, carbon monoxide, water leaks and more. The other pieces are a siren, remote control and hub that works with Arlo's various cameras, along with Zigbee and Z-Wave devices.
HomeKit will be supported by Arlo's Ultra 4K HDR Wire-Free and Arlo Pro 2 security cameras systems via a firmware update in Q1 2019. It'll let iPhone and iPad users access the cameras using the Apple Home app or Siri commands. For instance, you'll be able to display a security cam livestream by asking Siri, or trigger HomeKit-enabled lights when the security cameras detect motion.
If the multi-purpose sensor detects an intruder, smoke or a water leak, it can push notifications to your phone and tell one of the cameras to start recording.The Arlo siren can frighten thieves by emitting strobe lighting, a siren or play a fake dog barking or TV audio. The system can be manually controlled by the remote control or supported third-party devices. You can set up other devices and do programming through the SmartHub, launched previously with the 4K camera.
Arlo is trying to attract other manufacturers with its "Work with Arlo" ecosystem, and will be upgraded later in 2019 to work with ZigBee and Z-Wave devices. It has already signed up Philips Hue, Sonos, Yale, Schlage and other partners. Whether or not the world needs another home security system is another question, but it launches in the second half of the year, with prices yet to be disclosed.

I own eight cameras for two houses. One in Georgia and other home in state of WA. My daughter owns four cameras for her home in Seattle. She bought after a package thief kept stealing from her front porch. He hit again and Arlo alerted and got a great face pic. She called police and put pic on Seattle blog.......within minutes he was arrested.....

I love all mine and have one on a strip A/C powered and the rest on batteries. All work fine !!!!!!!!!

App failures continue to drag down Arlo. Customer Support has been awful.


I am not sure what Arlo pushed down last night, but ever since I keep losing my library. When I logged in this morning a privacy policy notification popped up, so I know that Arlo did something that caused library issues and my camera settings to change. My guess is they pushed updates to my base station, as I have blocked updates on all of my iOS devices.

The weird thing is when I access my library for today I only see the last few hours. If I delete one of those video’s, then the rest of the days video’s load in. If I open a video to watch, then exit and go back to my library the video’s are gone again. I have rebooted and reset everything multiple times, but issue still remains. Also smart notifications are not working correctly anymore. I have all camera’s set to notify me when a person is detected only, instead it notifies me for every single thing that moves.

To add insult to injury, yesterday one of my 7 month old VMC-4030’S lost the ability to detect motion, so that was a day wasted, testing fully to confirm the loss and trying to fix the problem. Good thing I bought purchase protection for this camera.

I swear fixing my Arlo system is becoming a full time job! At this point I have no hope that they will have anything fixed correctly by the end of the year!

Product app failures are really pissing lots of long time customers off.

“Is there anyway I can get my money back for this service? I have an Arlo 2 and two Arlo Pros. The app is constantly breaking with each update. It takes forever for devs to fix it. Just today I had to redo my motion zones because I wasnt getting alerts. You can't customize alerts now even though the options say you can and it worked fine before. I get multiple alerts for the same motion. Customer service reads off a script and offers no solutions.

I have 4 running fine on the old version 2.5 ios software. People that have upgraded to 2.6.x are SCREWED. Both iOS and Android are jacked up. Many of my clients are dead in the water and cannot connect. Read their support forum links I posted. The new version is effe’d up. I love Arlo but after seeing the destruction it’s caused multiple people and my reputation taking a hit for recommending them to tons of people.

What’s the reason for the big fall today? I saw we got some initial coverage and price targets from some analysts and they claimed this was a competitive sector, but the price targets I saw were $24, $29, and $39, so what’s the issue? I’ve got 5,000 shares of this at $22 and will look to add more if possible. I think $30 is very possible.
