Just curious.
I'm sure a few here can answer.
Does click bait income cover the losses of owning one share of AVXL from 31 to 3.40?
Heck from 10 to 4?
Was having some fun with old vinyl and ran across this album cover
that may well define the infinite possibilities of TA.....
ASSUMED
mike, I noted that last week that the proxy hasn't been filed. It is as if Anavex and TGD were waiting for something to happen ... I assume good since if it were bad, ASM would have been held by now, so the direct questions from shareholders would not have to be answered.
I think good news is coming soon ... even in The Chosen, the word "soon" is always under scrutiny! 😉
Peace, mike,

Thanks Nidan Sorry your brother. I Shuffle the deck daily. I retired July 4th 1998 at age 54 so our countries Independence Day and my Independence Day. In Retirement Every day is Saturday. Never had a boring day yet. Have had an interest in "Antique Radios" from the 30's & early 40's for the last 60 years. These old radios of course are regular AM Broadcast band plus some Short Wave bands. So a couple years ago I decided to update and modify a few of them. Now that 1938 Zenith console radio has Yes the original BC plus SW but also Aux input for CD MP3 etc player, Or switch to Bluetooth mode and feed it whatever you desire to listen to from a Computer or an old I-phone you have your tunes on. Or switch it to FM 88-108 radio... tuned of course from the old radio. Soon others begging me to modify their old radio. And I do a few of them. Listening to another one that is nearly done this morning. Some local Oldies Classic music FM station WMMO. It looks like we jumped up about a Nickel this morning. Volume is rather low at 118K shares for market open a bit over an hour. All great fun playing with early Electronics. Other Fun is Ham Radio. My Ham Station being up north in Indiana and me spending winters in Florida or points farther south. Several years ago I created a remote setup for the Ham Station. Now I can operate it from anyplace I have broadband internet. "Have Laptop Will Travel"

Zero credibility. Just like Missling.
if EMA submission same as peer review
TBSD need 3-71 BS to milk Anavex another 10+ yrs
STFU george. You are just as bad as Bashers here.
Will you stop non-sense pumping?
And stop making fun of GOD blessing.
You do NOT bullshit and tell people GOD blessing.
I’ll add that to my list of excuses for letting Missling off the hook.
Congratulations. There’s no limit on how creative these excuses get.
shiiit more 3-71 BS from george
FxxxxK
Expect multi multi $billion$ news by or before summer 2024 concerning Anavex 3-71.
Good luck and GOD bless,

Alzheimer ph2b/3 failed primary endpoint ADCS-ADL and Missling did damage control by hiding results hoping Rett Excellence would be successful.
All backfired when Rett Excellence ALSO FAILED and finally Missling has to come clean.
All this hiding of data benefitted himself by continue collecting his hefty salary and also selling options last month for $373,000.
I just finished reading Tom Bishop's latest newsletter and he mentioned Anavex is now guiding to finishing EMA submission by years end.
This is the first I've heard of this new timeline.
Did I simply miss it?
You certainly are entitled to your opinion. Nonetheless, I have been using support and resistance levels and the 200 MA's for the past 19 years and they have worked well religiously. I look at other TA but rarely make decisions off of it. By the same token, if a sell signal is given and the stock is oversold, I will either hold back on selling, sell less, or wait until the condition eases, before getting involved. In some cases, I will not trade that stock and look for something else. There are thousands of stocks and if another stock offers a better opportunity, I will get in there.
This is delusional babble. There are psychological therapies for conspiracy and numerology compulsions, which are common manifestations of OCD, and you've likely been made aware of them before.
I am stating that TA can be overshadowed by algos.
I believe this statement is inaccurate:
I have not stated that TA is being replaced by algos. They often work together but the difference is that algos key on support and resistance levels and on MA's (mainly the 200's) for the simple reason that these supply "specific" entry and exit points while the rest of TA supplies the general outlook.
Let me give you an example using RSI and Stochastic overbought and oversold indicators. Those two indicators can be resolved with the stock not going anywhere or even moving in the opposite direction for a few days without breaking the support and resistance levels. For example and using LWLG. The stock is oversold and that suggests that further downside (at this time) is not likely to happen or be limited. If the stock trades around 3.60 (below the now "weekly close" resistance level at 4.10) or even moves back up from 3.60 to 4.10 (to retest the breakdown), the oversold condition will be resolved and yet the reality is that support has been broken. This scenario fits in with almost all TA indicators, even things like Bollinger bands.
John K, thanks . I also have an AD close relative sad story. I am male age 82 , my identical twin brother recently passed away from AD regression ...,he may have just given up after his ("what's the use") frustration. This REALLY is about how our time gets used. W/S is finding more clever ways to leapfrog or deal with the diversion "TIME USE" thing. To WS ...TIME IS $$$$. Just ignore it, create new ways to change time reality...." make up artificial ways to shuffle the deck" . We each ONLY get one deck of cards to play with, when your deck runs out , your clock stops.
A. I. can be a very positive tool for dealing with TIME, and how time gets used. IMO, WS uses of AI need to be cautiously understood . If AI can be used to accelerate the rate at which technical problems get solved then GREAT. How time gets used is key. We do not want any of our time wasted on dry holes.
Data without appropriate understanding and interpretation is worthless.
Thanks, george, for clarifying.
So it looks like they are hiding bad data and thus the stock hits a new 4 year low EVERY SINGLE DAY. Notice they haven't even announced the date of the shareholder meeting so I guess they plan on having no shareholders soon. What a disaster this has become.
Full data set is complete. It is material. It should ne released. Missling puts peer review before shareholders.
They can’t do their job if Missling doesn't do his job.
Data release at the end of a claimed successful trial is vastly different than discussions of data interpretation with regulators.
And how could they discuss data with the FDA without the full data set being complete?
Is a successful trial's top line data supposed to be followed by full data release or not?
The data is the data. Interpretation isn't data.
It’s so disappointing! George, Bas, and Xena have not been doing their job! Better try harder!
It's the blind leading the blind. They don't read what they paste.

Nope we write the script, always steps ahead you!
lol! It’s a bit like the Irish joke about asking directions - if that’s where you want to go, I wouldn’t have started here.
Thanks Tom That really sharp DOWN and back up this morning. I grabbed a few shares 3.31 and 3.32. Close to your previous "Targets" and notice how quickly we bounced back UP. Friday should be interesting. I like to see UP days on Friday's. But we will see what happens.
My "Buys" I tend to keep the same Dollar amount which eventually as we go Down in PPS I get more shares. Eventually when we had a price SPIKE I would sell the "Trade Shares" and keep the core position. Now into a mode of Buy the lows and hold them. I see one of these days, I am not predicting WHEN, our price goes up due to "Real News" but one of these days that will happen. Most likely this time around with AVXL it will be "WE HAVE FILED EMA" and I will at that point "HoldEm"
A thought comes to mind from WAY WAY back in the day when we used to trade in 1/8ths. 12.5 cents. I had a couple stocks that were large corps and usually quite steady as to pps. On a day when the general market was reasonably stable I would place a SELL order. Wait and watch a bit. Yes it sold. Place a Buy order for 1/8th less than the sale and after a bit it would BUY. sometimes traded in and out of same stock same # of shares 5 or 10 times in a single day... Bag a GAIN for me around $500-600 for my day of "trading" . Interesting how trading today has changed. Algos HFT etc. No we can't compete with those "Methods" But if one know whats up with a STOCK still room for us "RETAIL" to make a decent buck.
Anyway Tom keep up your great work. I appreciate your TA. Lets hope at the end of our "days" all of us make some decent bucks. And perhaps on AVXL let us hope that those who get this terrible CNS disease can greatly prolong their demise and continue to lead productive lives. YES I have a serious hatred for ALZ. Lost my Mother at age 89. Yes other issues but the last year plus sometimes I was her Son John Sometimes I was my Dad. Sometimes I was THAT THING my wife was married to.... Yes within my Mothers Family. Females Born of a Female of the family eventually ended up with ALZ. Yet none of the Males born of a Female or Male of the family ended up with ALZ. Yes my family for the last 3 generations has been part of various ALZ tests. After lots of study of the various companies working on ALZ drugs I pick Anavex having THE DRUG that hopefully will END or greatly prolong ALZ. That was back in 2015.

have been here since 2015 and not likely to leave any time soon !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Building the Great Grandkids College fund I am.
Got it. That is more of the techniques of the shorts. Whether that has been coded into algorithms I do not know.
PS: The Same Applies to your bogus “Friend”…
Joe bear
I have been diligently reading this board (almost religiously) for close to 10 years now.
But I can’t help myself any longer…
You’re the first poster I have ever awarded a “Thumbs Down to”.
You are now officially the lowest of the low to me, so congratulations to you..
Be assured…there’s a special place reserved for you and I’m sure your table is ready…
You are correct. But the algo trading I was referring to is different than HFT-front running, i.e., flash trading. Front running mainly involves an advantage in data speed and processing speed. It doesn’t add up to much of a difference to individual trades but it is significant in the aggregate.
The algos I am referring to figure out how to achieve a desired result: move the stock up or down, accumulate or distribute, etc. It relies significantly on collusion. Creating micro-trends that add up to macro trends. They take turns trading shares back and forth to each other to create the illusion of real trading when in reality it is not. Imagine if you and I could trade the same 100 shares back and forth to each other all day long at incrementally lower prices. The net cost to either of us is negligible but the appearance …
TA looks for patterns. Those patterns are found in human behavior.
AI is better at discovering patterns than Human TA. It works from much larger data sets with much finer granularity.
However, many of the HFT programs rely on microsecond pattern recognition and front running based on data distribution delays. That is for the high activity stocks with large volumes of trades.
You can see the computer programs at work if you have LVL II. Put in a bid and watch the LVL II step away from your bid instantaneously on a slow day.
Cancel your bid and the bid and ask move down instantaneously.
Anavex chart follows the XBI chart in shape much of the time with a 1.5 to 2 beta in both directions. There is no real reason for that behavior except for algo trading.
If market valuations were always correct there would be no opportunity to make money in the market but we see that is not the case.
While your math is correct about the difference between the cash on hand value and the present share price, concluding that the value of the company is the difference is a short term extraction of faulty conclusions.
At this point in time the ultimate value of the company is an unknown. The shorts are doing their thing as they do with many companies. The longs are resisting the short efforts weakly at this point due to an apparent dearth of news in the short term. The balance of those forces will change as things unfold in the coming months.
Just as the Rett trial results have set the stage for this SP decline, positive AD results and approval will set the stage for SP climb.
You can argue about whether the AD results are good enough to garner an approval or not. The die has been cast with the EMA. The die will be cast with the FDA also.
Only then we will begin to know the value of the company. Till then, the market is no more accurate than it was when the SP went up to $31 intraday.
If Investor and frrol are buying then it's likely a good indication we're near the bottom. After all, they've seen the "script."
Personally, I enjoy the enthusiasm of the newly converted.
It makes me smile.
Ya pays yas money and ya takes yas chances.
FOMO?
Bragging rights for getting out at the right time?
Life is full of hard choices that can have real consequences.
Oh, well they’ve been doing that for years. But I agree, they will likely figure out more efficient ways to steer the trades to themselves for wash trade purposes.
I didn't say they invented "new" T.A.
What they invented was a way to counterfeit T.A. through AI manipulation of fake sales.
WASH TRADES RULE !!!!!
I’m not able to imagine how they could invent “new” TA. It’s basically math and a loose form of geometry. I think what the algos and AI will do is figure out ways to apply the TA. More accurately, more efficient ways to cause the results that they want. TA manipulation. The algos already do that. They are designed to do it.
Q: "Can alternative endpoints be selected after a drug trial is finished?"
A: "Yes, some clinical trials have successfully changed endpoints after the trial has begun."
Be careful with the careless nonsense posted here, folks.
Consider this: Can trading algos be written in such a manner that they sculpt and reform what is traditionally considered to be "T.A." ?
Thinkabboudit....
I noticed the sava and anvs boards are pretty dead, I guess they are over here.. Go AVXL.. A-273 Significant slowing of brain shrinkage.
Tred...you are absolutely correct. We are looking at market mechanics/manipulation were the market wants constant news. And when a Biotech has numerous successful trials, two excellent products, many patients/families wanting to continue to use of those products and a healthy bank account....it can't be the fundamentals! SAVA and ANVS are up in the market with no better fundamentals. Science and stock analysis can lead to no other conclusion other than forces who want a continued short position or cheap shares before EMA/FDA positive news. Sad commentary on the development of effective drugs that have the potential to positively help millions who never sought their plight.
The trading algos absolutely use TA. So does literally every professional human trader. That is the only reason it has any validity. Empirically, it would have no effect whatsoever.
you are very detailed and clear

Anavex®Life Sciences Corp. (the “Company”) is a clinical stage biopharmaceutical company engaged in the development of differentiated therapeutics for the treatment of neurodegenerative and neurodevelopmental diseases including drug candidates to treat Alzheimer’s disease, other central nervous system (“CNS”) diseases, pain and various types of cancer. The Company’s lead compound ANAVEX®2-73 is being developed to treat Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease and potentially other central nervous system diseases, including rare diseases, such as Rett syndrome.
Anavex®Life Sciences’ lead drug candidate, ANAVEX®2-73, recently completed successfully a Phase 2a clinical trial for Alzheimer’s disease. ANAVEX®2-73 is an orally available drug candidate that restores cellular homeostasis by targeting sigma-1 and muscarinic receptors. Preclinical studies demonstrated its potential to halt and/or reverse the course of Alzheimer’s disease. It has also exhibited anticonvulsant, anti-amnesic, neuroprotective and anti-depressant properties in animal models, indicating its potential to treat additional CNS disorders, including epilepsy and others. The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research has awarded Anavex® a research grant to develop ANAVEX®2-73 for the treatment of Parkinson’s disease to fully fund a preclinical study, which could justify moving ANAVEX®2-73 into a Parkinson’s disease clinical trial. ANAVEX®3-71, also targeting sigma-1 and M1 muscarinic receptors, is a promising preclinical drug candidate demonstrating disease modifications against the major Alzheimer’s hallmarks in transgenic (3xTg-AD) mice, including cognitive deficits, amyloid and tau pathologies, and also with beneficial effects on neuroinflammation and mitochondrial dysfunctions.
The Company is in preparation for ANAVEX®2-73 for a Phase 2/3, placebo-controlled trial in Alzheimer’s disease as well as a Phase 2, placebo-controlled trial in Rett syndrome, for which the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) granted Orphan Drug Designation (ODD) for ANAVEX®2-73 and a Phase 2, placebo-controlled trial in Parkinson’s disease.
Headquartered in New York, Anavex® Life Sciences is an American publicly traded corporation on Nasdaq quoted as AVXL
