Josh Groban - O Holy Night
Thank you Ron.
The next post contains the original live version, done almost 20 years ago, by Josh Groban. The 2nd link is from the studio. No discernible difference.
I saw it live back then, and still my fave from then on.
Okeedokey Ron.
Happy Everything & Merry Christmas to you!
HEY GUYS;
Happy Holiday Hours!
Two of you stay off the roof and the other, no swimming under 70* degrees.
Anyone else's ORDER STATUS TAB screwed up.
I now cant see them all on one page and have to tab over.
I believe they pushed some silly update last night and scrambled up clients tools.
What other prefered platforms are out there?
Thanks
knew someone displaced to Schwab

Like China, illegal to short
May help TDA, hopefully, does not hurt Schwab.
TD Ameritrade Announces Shareholder Approval of Merger with Charles Schwab and Closing of DOJ Investigation of Merger
TD I have posted 15 years is corrupt. An associate over at CLF feels Trump will do another Executive Order real soon to stop "selling away" a security- eliminating naked shorting brokerages have been doing for years as it has go to stop !
Bring fairness back into US securities.. Too many good companies for years have been destroyed by such illicit practices...
Dan Quayle once stated to all AMERICANS
''vote like its the most important thing to do this year''
he was also quoted on Father Sanducci interview

I believe TD can text message clients that mobile sites down and that fixing problem etc., but they never do so. I believe Scwab is suppose to take over by year’s end. Hopefully under Schwab things will
improve.
same as Fargo---they dont
1 hour wait as on hold to speak to a TD Ameritrade customer service agent. Where is the accountability to the clients, there isn't any!
another AMTD platform failure, the firm is turning into a real pile of Junk Fatal error: type: MODULE name: __orders/multiOrderReview - r28475a2295-af08-11ea-8f7a-005056b48b7f
and 20 minutes later still Review Orders information is currently unavailable. Please try again later.

Fred...any word on fats of late ??

AMTD brokerage platform having big issues again today. 2nd time this week, pretty expensive platform for trading OTC stocks, when it fails to function properly every 4 to 5 days, today a 5 digit account balances showing Zero, positions showing Zero, and trade platform not functioning 1/2 hour into this day, and still not corrected
It's nice to hear that SCHW and AMTD merger/acquisition looks to be moving forward. I hold AMTD and won't mind the swap out for SCHW shares. Brokerages have offered excellent "trade around the core" type activity for me since the mid '90s. AMTD was my latest attempt, added to my portfolio in November, 2015.
Opportunistic trading has built portfolio value while the price ranged up and down since 2015.
Best wishes,
OAG Tom
Yes ,but the mail must go thru---except from the IRS
On-Line Brokerage businesses have done well since C-19:
https://www.cnbc.com/2020/05/13/trading-volume-for-electronic-brokers-doubled-last-quarter-and-shows-no-signs-of-letting-up.html?&qsearchterm=on%20line%20broker
Their stocks haven't done as well.
I got TD by the nuts finally....
Recent letter reply from them (took almost 30 days) regarding their role in shorting events and naked shortselling. This corona thing will see major paradigm shift taking place in America going forward, and damaged from excessive greed for profits at any cost by/through brokerages to excessive CEO comp plans will be changed as all of it criminal to all public traded companies out there for far too long...
He may still be on hiatus Mike.
fats: remember Players id First this yr. in 2 wks.
Start thinking Team,...
Love that course down there. Played one time few yrs ago.

Yep, huge gap down at $40.00 level will have to trade through...
Hi I, Re: Borrowing shares to short a stock.................
The best way to prevent short sellers from using your stock is to have the broker send you a certificate. Done.
The practice of shares being held by brokerages and loaned out to short sellers isn't exactly anything new. If you want to trade your shares, leave the amount you want to trade at the brokerage and get a certificate for the remainder. This isn't something that AMTD does differently than any other brokerage, I don't believe.
Short sellers offer long investors periodic opportunities to accumulate more shares at a nice discount. The Shorts will depress the price/share below what the "market" would efficiently price the equity. If fear grips the broader investment community during the shorting, those with the ability to accumulate discounted shares add inventory and average their price/share downward. When the shorting ends, the new inventory is solid with LIFO gains.
Best wishes,
OAG Tom
And why are they increasing margins 3-5 times on many stocks in OTC as well on exchanges????
I hope the Schwabb merger crashes and burns..
After over 10+ years with TD, repeated problems, complaints filed with regulators, I as a US small business owner (and millions of others like us), are tired of blatant violations of FINRA Rule 2380 & 3270 by this brokerage.
SEC needs to STOP all naked shortselling schemes and STOP allowing greedy brokerages to use Shareholders' stocks they own in possession, and loan out to such criminal shortselling groups, only to further cripple many US companies and their growth and Shareholder value time & again...
STOP making the equities markets like the Commodity Futures markets !!!!
I would email everybody on their Contacts list
AMTD phone wait times of up to an hour. Complaint will be made to the SEC about this nonsense!!! 1 plus hour phone wait on a Friday night?! Who except me is calling you people on a Friday night at 11:30 PM?! Sheesh!
AMTD. Will somebody pick up the phone in less than an hour?! “We are currently experiencing longer than normal wait times. We apologize for the inconvenience.” I apologize but if the service doesn’t improve you will be hearing from my attorney.
Nothing new and am not surprised----, because a lot of brokers went to SCHWAB because TD was paying them 'starvation-wages'
TD Ameritrade Shareholders File Lawsuit - Deadline for Shareholders to Join (via Business Journal)
December 19, 2019
Tags: United States TD Ameritrade Charles Schwab Corporate Affairs Mergers & Acquisitions
A group of TD Ameritrade Holding Corporation shareholders have filed a lawsuit alleging that the merger consideration is unfair.
Under the terms of the definitive merger agreement, TD Ameritrade shareholders will receive only 1.0837 shares of Charles Schwab stock for each share of TD Ameritrade common stock owned. This exchange ratio implied a deal price of $52.23 as of the last day of trading before the announcement. The TD Ameritrade shareholders have also alleged that TD Ameritrade directors have breached their fiduciary duties to shareholders. The shareholders contend that Charles Schwab should acquire the stock for no less than $60 per share. The shareholders further contend that the board is not acting for the benefit of shareholders but rather for their own self interests.
The lawsuit is seeking class action status and shareholders of TD Ameritrade who would like to participate with other shareholders in seeking to obtain a higher price are encouraged to contact the law firm representing shareholders before the deadline. There is no cost or expense for shareholders to participate, and in the event the lawsuit is unsuccessful, shareholders will still be entitled to receive the existing merger consideration assuming the transaction closes. Shareholders are encouraged to email at contact@tripplevy.com or call toll free at 800-511-7037

From TD this morning Mitch:
We're excited to announce that Charles Schwab and TD Ameritrade have reached an agreement for Schwab to acquire TD Ameritrade.
The combined company will retain the Schwab name, and will reflect the best that each legacy firm has to offer, including leading trading and wealth management platforms, investor education, award-winning service, and banking.* This should bring clients like you an outstanding investing experience.
For now, the transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to close in the second half of 2020. During that time, there should be no impact to your account or how you work with TD Ameritrade.
For additional information about the transaction, please visit www.amtd.com for details.

I think it's BS myself. Just go back to my posts just related to DRYS over past 8-10 years alone and TD's system regarding that stock and many improprieties many global investors tried to sue over, mysterious account problems, changes, orders gone that were there, etc... Technology has gotten way out of hand and too tricky. NONE of it is/has been good for the average retail investor despots ads and hype... Now we got ourselves another monopoly but in brokerage industry...
