Thanks for the udate Renee...
AMST is not even a shell... it is just abondoned by who ever owns it. I was hoping they would maintained it as a shell until a private company want to IPO via the shell, but I guess it is so bad they rather cut their losses.
SUPRISE SURPRISE!
I lost my A$$ on this thing. What does all this mean?

REMEMBERING LIES !Stem Cell Therapy International Inc. (OTC BB:SCII.OB) announced that they have obtained short term financing, enabling the Company to "update" and finalize the merger between Stem Cell Therapy International, Inc. and the Histostem Corporation, Ltd. (Korea) which has been filed previously with the SEC. I don't know what it means to 'update' a merger but it would appear this loan will get it finalized.
The Company got a whopping $150,000 and 6 months or less to repay to the lenders $187,500.
This short term financing will allow the Company to continue to "pay necessary vendors to maintain the Company's public filing requirements, begin collaborations of operations between Histostem and AmStem International, finish the documents necessary to continue with the private placement and proceed with the execution of the Company's strategic plan."
AmStem International is the name of the new company intended to result from the merger of Stem Cell Therapy International, Inc. and HistoStem, Ltd. of Korea. Histostem reportedly operates the largest accredited Cord Blood & Stem Cell bank in the world (more than twice as large as its nearest competitor) and is said to be already successfully treating patients with its patented, Korean FDA-approved stem cell therapies. Histostem is one of only a few stem cell companies in the world currently earning several million dollars in income from its cellular products and technology.

The company appears to be a shell that is now 60% owned by Histostem. http://www.histostem.co.kr/english/english_1.htm
The hope for shareholders is that Histostem brings product to the US market via this shell.
However, it appears Histostem is having serious legal issues in S Korea.
I personally, intend to stay away from any other Asian related stocks in the future. There is too much that can be hidden from US shareholders.
I must have looked for a quote during a time the korean market was closed because I've seen trades since I posted the following link. Although, it's taken quite the haircut

The only value here is if Histostem uses them as a vehicle to introduce product to the US or if another company buys the shell.
I've sent Histostem a note of inquiry as to their intentions with AMST. I'll let you know if I hear anything. It was just sent minutes ago...
Hmmm... just returned as non deliverable.
Here is the only contact information I have:
http://www.histostem.co.kr/english/english_5.htm
Perhaps, someone that speaks Korean can try calling.
Does this company have any value at all? I believe HAWK dropped them. They own nothing. They produce nothing! Where is the value? I believe the company will just cease to exist. Very sad for all us who lost money.
Wow....just looking at the 1 yr chart.....what an ugly downtrend.....for almost a yr this baby has been dropping....is it finally finding a bottom?.....got to bounce sometime....on the radar$$$
Anyone notice that most of the stem cell co.'s are experiencing a downtrend?.....looks like the whole sector is due for a bounce....seems there's not a lot of conviction in the cord blood market....maybe it's the economy......any thoughts?$$$
We need to go back to SCII and look for another company for a merger. This merger was an italian sausage up the investor's you know what without a KY.
I was able to get out on time with a small profit, but I am watching to see where the PPS will plateau before loading up. I can buy cheap shares now and let it marinade for a few more years.
I'm done here and lost my A$$. This company is 100% dead. They are not even represented by HAWK anymore. This will go to zero very soon. I am moving everything I have left into a much better company that is growing very fast and will report year end numbers 9-15-11. Shoot me a pm with your email or number and I will share if you would like. I had hopes for AMST and believed what I was told. I'm done here.
Does the Company have an active website? Any contact with this Company? Does it have operations?
thx

AmStem Announces Management Change
Date : 04/26/2011 @ 2:14PM
So what has Changed since then
If Histostem still owns 60% of AMSTEM than if has interest in the company succeeding. If AMSTEM goes under they own 60% of nothing. Would you use the distributing company that you were the majority owner in or some other company that you don't own?
Mike,
Exactly what do they have invested?
Histostem holds 60% of AMST shares. Histostem has more vested in AMST succeeding than we do!
No they wont a Penny and Falling !

Histostem Cord Blood Storage
Exciting New Treatments
Clinical Trials: Stem Cell Treatments for Incurable Disease
Histostem Ltd. of South Korea, has enjoyed a unique position in the world of stem cell research for a number of years. In February 2007, they received approval from the Korean FDA to use stem cells as a "surgical technique" to treat virtually any emergency condition.
Buoyed by this unprecedented regulatory support, Dr. Hoon Han of Histostem has partnered with leading researchers at the finest hospitals and universities in Korea, to study the treatment of intractable disease using non-controversial stem cells derived from umbilical cord blood. While using his patented techniques to prepare and treat patients, Dr. Han and his research team have compiled a significant body of research data that is unique in the world.
The initial data shows some exciting successes, and AmStem will be validating these early results with controlled clinical trials designed to the highest international (ICH) standards.
