I still have my eye on it...
Nice to see some of the old abew people still around. Maybe someone will take this tec and make it work. Loss for me was staggering. I'll never recover. Life is still good with family and friends. Glad I have a pension or I'd starve to death.
Here are the guys to follow for China small cap. overall:
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/board.aspx?board_id=9884
They are smart, do great analysis, and share it. They also have big bucks and play ~ 20 stocks at a time.
Here for CCME:
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/board.aspx?board_id=16418
Same crowd.
And for KNDI:
http://messages.finance.yahoo.com/mb/KNDI
Here the big players are 'corstrat' who just came back from the China plant. Also, 'struftpete' who lives in China. This electric small car company is in big with the government and the National Power Grid Corp. With the funding they just got, i expect an automated plant. For each 10,000 cars sold the stock shopuld be worth ~ $6. They have stated the palnt capacity will be 100,000 annually. This will take about two to three years.
Great I'll follow your profile and check what your doing, I have been looking at China off and on, messed up and got out of PUDA before the RS, bad idea, it just keeps chugging. Checking REDCHIP.COM they seem to get the stocks they cover some real MOMO. Picked up IGC today its one they are featuring.
Good to 'see' you -
Yes, a shell opportunity is always there. But I'm thinking something else. I just watch for fun. As for now I'm all into China small caps. and have been for three years. Today it is CCME and KNDI.
atco1982 Hi Hope all yours are safely home!
The buying could be someone accumulating for a stock shell play. A shell can be valuable, there are individuals who buy up these defunct companies. Sold most of my tax loss in 09, still have a boatload of ABEW in IRA's. I keep those share just to see that big loss for old times sake and as a hard lesson hopefully learned.
'danch2' from Raging Bull Abew message board.
One of many that we all saw comming...
The iGrill is a Bluetooth-enabled wireless cooking thermometer that works with your iPhone or iPad. Stick the sensor in your meat and sync the base station with your iGadget of choice, and you can monitor your food from up to 200 feet away.

I've also left this board on my list to keep an eye on it and hope (pray/dream!!) that some type of revival might happen. I am still a bit stunned every time I look at my huge loss in this stock and wonder how I could have been so reckless as to have invested so much. It did seem at one point that they were in the right place at the right time to be a leader in providing the cutting edge of a new technology. In recent months, I have heard a lot of ads about various new products for home monitoring that would have been a great match for their technology. I learned an important message about limiting investments into "new" technology companies.
I would sell some to generate losses to offset gains, but I didn't have any gains this last year due to other bad investment choices.
Mike
I've been watching as well, wondering what is going on and who is still buying. I am still under my rock waiting for the sun to shine. ????????????
I'm selling mone off to generate losses against my gains. Thank goodness someone is still buying. I can't imagine who is picking up all those shares slowly but surely. Likely the Bartmans or possibly Raj to get more than they have. It's all a mystery to me.
awesome photo atco1982,love that Hook, guess Airbee message board has seen better days, and there is no hope in the short term!
Wasn't this what Airbee was all about??? What happened?

ZigBee Alliance proposes ZigBee for energy-distribution standard
Article of 20May09 in URGENT COMMUNICATIONS
The ZigBee Alliance, a global group of companies working to create wireless solutions for use in energy management, commercial and consumer applications, said it is proposing the use of the ZigBee Smart Energy public applic as a basis for an IEC standard that will be used by the electrical and electronic industries...
http://urgentcomm.com/mobile_voice/news/zigbee-energy-distribution-standard-20090520/
Why is this significant?
It is an INTERNATIONAL STANDARD being proposed. That means that countries are required to adopt and implement it. This throws a protective umbrella over the entire market.
So, maybe ABEW will become active in delivering this new standard in foreign lands, like India and Indonesia, and the rest of the sub-asian continent. It could be an entirely new market for ABEW.
Just my opinion...
VV
Why bother, unless -
Was thinking the same thing.
atco,
It does beg the question.........why bother?
unless.....
imo
It's alive, it's alive -
However, possibly just barely.

We have heard this before:
Remember this two years ago:
A recent analyst report issued by West Technology Research Solutions estimates that by the year 2008, "annual shipments for ZigBee chipsets into the home automation segment alone will exceed 339 million units,"
Never happened. But now we have new hope.
ZigBee is going to take off, thanks to smart metering, according to research firm InStat. Shipments of chips based around the 802.15.4 standard will rise to 292 million units in 2012, way up from the seven million sold in 2007.
Regardless of when, IF Airbee is still alive then, with their barebones current operations, my estimate is that for each 10M chips they download into, it will result in a minimum of 0.01 per share in earnings and a resulting 0.10 - 0.20 per share price.
That's, IF they are around.
"Internet access, too, is important to Southwest Windpower because some of its turbines have built-in local-area networking.
"Our wind turbines are Zigbee wireless controlled so we can monitor it and give it an IP address at the router and from there we can look at the performance and can upload new software," he said.
Broadband Internet connectivity, particularly in rural areas with good wind, would give Southwest Windpower the ability to spot problems remotely.
As part of smart grid program, utilities could use that Internet connectivity to change the voltage of wind turbines in an area to reduce the load on the grid, Kruse explained.
"This is a huge step with our machines. No longer is it just an alternator that makes electricity but it's also a machine that you can communicate and interact with," he said. "

Anything is good right now; we just made an emergency landing in New Orleans. One of the engines quit. Travelling from Dallas to Tampa
they might be able to annouce something small... but it looks like there gonna need to find a way to hang on a lot longer than expected... with the big chip guys slowing production... new product roll outs are delayed.
Public lost confidence, I have a little money to invest waiting on positive sign.
Public media... give us some good news. The media brought down the economy. Maybe they can bring it back up. Hopefully ABEW is Hangin' ON!!!
Lets Go ABEW, give use some good news.
10Q NT filed (again)

Hopefully, they've been too overloaded with processing new contracts to have gotten it out on time.
I received an e-mail from ABEW, I need to reset my password
with them.
I tried to call the company, I was redirected to India and, no one could answer any of my questions. Not sure whats going on.
Sounded like, I was talking to someone in the subway or on the street.
Is anyone else having problems accessing info on the Airbee web site.
I put in my password and nothin happens. I request my password to be e-mailed to me, it tells me, its being sent to me and, I never receive it.
Zigbee is alive, are we? -

I RECEIVED THE "TELEGESIS. NO DIRECTIONS CAME WITH IT. YOU HAVE TO GO TO THEIR WEBB SITE AND DOWN LOAD A DRIVER.
I'M A LITTLE DISAPPOINTED; I WAS EXPECTING TO SEE A SCREEN SIMILAR TO THE WIFI SCREEN WHEN YOU ARE TRYING TO CONNECT TO A SITE. I CAN SEE THE DEVICE IN DEVICE MANAGER. IF, I RUN DIAGNOSTICS, IT DOESN'T ACTUALLY TEST THE DEVICE; IT JUST TELLS YOU WHO TO CALL. 1 TO 10. I’d GIVE THIS PRODUCT a 2.
I HOPE AIRBEE'S PRODUCTS TAKE INTO ACCOUNT ALL THE WEAK POINTS
OF THIS PRODUCT.
I have a few ideas. I see problems with the way things are done and try to come up with a solution. I don't knowe if, I'll make any money, but, it keeps me out of trouble. Manufacturing isn't a problem. I work for a company that sale refurbished manufacturing equipment. I know must of the manufactures already. 100 to 300 world wide. Me and some of my friends have and are thinking about setting up our own small manufacturing operation.
HangingOn What the world needs is a device that keeps track of keys, cell phones, etc. It should signal one if one walks away from it, say 15' to 20'. If you can, get manufactures to build the device into those things, you companion device can be sold separately as a bracelet, necklace or belt clip.
It allows me to order the kit from TI for 99.00 Dollors, It has the Pro software built-in. It will work with anything new that comes out. I plan on getting the kit to do some of my own projects. It's what I do. Build proto types and try to build a market. Doing it for my self is new. I work as a
senior field service engineer now. I built allot of electric motors and generators. Vacuum control Box for the company I work for now. Working on a solar powered continues cycle air conditioner and heating system, Auto door opener for a door company. Software package for the industy, I'm in now. I see allot of products that, I could modify with Zigbee and, I don't see any company rushing to do them. I run my own small business on the side, working in parrallel with the company, I work for, they put me into business. I don't do the same type of equipment. The software package, I'm working on
will be my entry into my first web site and, I will have 100 to 300 companies who will use and pay me a monthly fee. Those are my plans.
USB dondle -
By the way, you don't know what you might get. It would interfaces with a program in your PC (which you don't have, can't program, and don't have a compiler to create) and an external Zigbee device (which you don't have and must know how it operates so you can program its operation). Other than that ..........
This is the part number.
ETRX2USB-R3
Here's the web site that sales the USB stick. 38.50 Dollars
www.lemosint.com
I'm buying one. I'm not sure how much Abew was involved.
Thats great, I will check with Tigerdirect.com to see if their carrying it and how much. I have three apartments and a house, I would like to set them up.
Thank for the info. I hope we see greater rev this coming Qtr.
No problem - USB stick -
In 2005 at the Zigbee Open house in San Jose, Raj showed a USB stick to me that connected an outside Zigbee network to your computer (or connected a computer based Zigbee network to outside devices). This was in 2005. Look at the web hit below making a 'big deal' about doing the same thing in 2008. A little late I would think.

They should have had the renter accessing the same data from their computer. Then have them shut off lights, showing how easy it is for the renter to lower consuption.
Electric Metering in non-first world locations -
I'm sure that electric metering is not as straight forward in so called second and thirds world locations as it is in the US, Japan, and Europe. I'm sure this presentation was used by Airbee in the Metering India Conference last week.

That's good DD jaratca. THANKS.
