Why do people put up with it?
IV, that is. Gah.

O Noes. Mai Winders falls over again. And again. And again.
IV is acting up again and just wanted to see if anyone else is having the same problem.
Cody Willard is over-zealous. In most of his articles, he advertises his own literature and investment guides, etc. He's trying to promote himself, and that is why he wants to cause as much hype about the App revolution as he can. I wouldn't buy the subscription if I were you. There are enough resources on the internet that you can get away with doing your own analytics. Never be greedy, alway read up on prospective stocks more than necessary, and try to find the more volatile and new apps out there, then buy stock in their company. Do your own research; Willard's only out there to (I was almost going to write "take your money," but) offer people who don't have the time/commitment (half a brain) the information, so that they don't need to investigate themselves. This is my guess; I'm no expert. Here's my article (short crappy blog) if you want more info- http://sfinance.wordpress.com/ it's about AAPL and the app rev. But the app revolution is definitely happening, and it's all a matter of research. The least it can do is educate.
Hope this is the least bit helpful and good luck!
By the way, I own AAPL stock, but you might be smart in staying out. The biggest concern for AAPL is the Android market- they're available ($30) and getting smoother and more programable by the hour. If AAPL can't hold the smartphone market (I read today that 41% of Apple's earnings is in the iPhone) then they're in for some hurt (if/when that hurt happens, be ready to buy big, because AAPL is so strong that it would surely rise at a good pace again).

What do you think of the "App Revolution" that so many big investors and analysts are referring to more often than not? Cramer's on board, Cody Willard and others are urging investors to be ready for this new surge of investment opportunities. I am considering (although I don't always see eye-to-eye with some of Willard's views) buying Cody Willard's report in which he will email his subscribers for a fee of $79 as he promises to "personally email you the full 56 page report on all 50 Stocks for the App Revolution". His pitch was for people to get a jump start on this opportunity by acquiring some information that he has compiled on everything to do with Apps, and his top choice of future App stocks. I'd appreciate any insight as I just recently pulled out of AAPL for the short term for some profit taking and am looking to stay with this promising technology sector.
Okey dokey. It's you guy's call. Myself, I'd rather have anybody and everybody that wants to talk AAPL in the same room. I'm sure they wouldn't mind. Whatever tickles your pickle, though. Glad to have you guys here.
Main IHub AAPL Board
As a side note - is there any reason you guys wouldn't want to use the main AAPL board here?
A flood of new people showing up is likely to upset the half-dozen or so regulars. Seriously. They've got their own routine and folks they are used to, just as the AAPLSanity crowd does.
Setting up a parallel board for this gang is just good BBS manners.
Chaz,
There is, but it's a premium feature. You can view 10, 50, 100, whatever you want at a time.

Not that I know of, Chaz
Ron
I know you are also on SI, is there a feature here that you can view 10 posts at a time just like SI. That's the best part of SI and I wish IV would have it as well
I am not taking a survey
If links are prohibited I probably will not participate.
See iBox above for a link to a survey about whether we should try to have a discussion board without links.
Yes, I get the irony.
I think links are important and would not support a move to make it a link-free environment.
What does everyone think about this idea:
Would it work to have a board without links? I thought this board could be a forum for discussion of Apple events, but because it's an open board it will be visited by some antagonists as well as those of us who are interested in discussion.
That usually devolves into a linkfest and having to sort through a lot of debris in order to engage in a discussion. Even our closed board devolves into a repetitive linkfest at times.
If we make this board for discussion only and define links as "not discussion", thus off-topic, I think we can have an interesting board where people can say things in their own words rather than posting links to things other people have said.
We already have stock message boards on several sites where links are posted, sometimes repeatedly, and I find it gets old fast.
Those who have links to items they'd like to share can post those links on the stock message boards and direct readers to the board where the link is posted.
Your thoughts?
I put this together over here...

Took a little work but it shows you what can be done.
I found my user name and password.Cool!
Has an rss feed. Something iV should have done years ago. It is old school, but for iDevices it's better because for example you can Bold and Italic by using tags. You can also hotlink.
Threads are harder to follow. And 15 posts per day? No good for Stan lol.
OK. I still had iHub bookmarked. This will work as backup and not offend existing aapl board members. We ruffled a few feathers with our last abrupt invasion.
I'm the silent lurker walterliv from IV.
Hi there.
I've had an account here for a number of years. The AAPL board here was pretty quiet.
