Very well, I understand your position completely, and you at least gave a response that greatly outshines the curt and dismissive unprofessional response by the other mod on duty, but I would think that for some important reason someone made the decision to put a real-time counter on the pages. I don't see any other real-time counter of any statistic on any page, other than the boardmark, therefore it clearly has a significance much higher than the other items you infer. If that isn't a topical thing I'm not quite sure what is topical.
