Upvoted! In my opinion, the investment world is currently based less on fundamentals, and more on popularity. After being in this stock for over 7 years (holy sh*t!) lets help ourselves and spread the word. As my late uncle Sam used to say “Let your fingers do the walking”!
I assume everyone just received this email from Liquidmetal. Here is the link:

Nice, I picked up 15K @ .09 even this morning!
I don’t always agree with what you post Ramp, but in this instance I think you make a strong argument. I think much of Apple’s success today is a direct result of marketing to young people decades ago. It’s a long term strategy that has paid dividends (quite literally). I think having Mickey Mouse and his gang toting Apple-esque products would only strengthen this strategy. That said, I’m not sure how the amusement park business fits into their portfolio. Though the parks would be a cool place to sell product.
On the other hand, I can also envision buying Tesla, gaining a visionary in Elon Musk, and letting him take the reigns as CEO. I think Musks vision coupled with Apples war chest could be a lethal one-two punch to the competition. Many will argue that Tesla makes little profit, which is true now. But what if Tesla was the only car that offered an IOS based operating system? Would that drive more customers? Would new car buyers find that compelling? And you really can’t argue with Musks ability to dominate the news. Space travel had fallen out of the public’s consciousness until Musk made it cool again. Remind you of any former Apple ceo with a knack for giving us what we wanted before we even knew we wanted it??
That said, I have to disagree with some on this board. Tim Cook has done, in my opinion, an amazing job at Apple. I’m not sure where our share price would be had Jobs lived. But I do remember what the analysts feared would happen to it after he passed. Cook has increased shareholder value. That was his task, and he has accomplished it. He never intended to recreate the company. He is there to streamline manufacturing and processes, and build on the foundation Jobs left. For that, he may not be the CEO everyone wanted, but he’s arguably been the one we needed.
Wow, very informative and encouraging! Thank you for posting!
Could you post a link to where you read that? Thank you!
Well said!
Well said.
Tdameritrade costs $6.95 per trade.
I too have noticed his, occasional, cavalier style. But I think you are saying, style aside, his information is sound. I appreciate your response. Thank you, once more, for all you do here.
Gamesc, I have always held both your and Joshuaeyu’s opinions in high regard.
I am, admittedly, not doing 1/10 the research or putting in a fraction of the DD you two are. That said, I do read all the comments posted here (over the last few years anyway), and follow and read most posted links. I have been noticing Joshuaeyu’s comments often link to his own previous comments- a possible red flag in my opinion. Sometimes these “previous comments” include a link to a relevant third party article, sometimes they do not. Taking this at face value, my general opinion of Joshuaeyu is very high. I feel this board is better with him than without, in regard to his posts reflecting factual information and his opinions generally being grounded in these facts.
Understanding my general opinion of you is also very high, my question to you is why in Post # 136548 do you say:
“Rare time I agree with you...”
On what point(s) do you generally disagree with Joshuaeyu? In your opinion, does he intend to mislead casual investors such as myself?
I appreciate any time devoted to answering this question. And I can’t thank both you and Joshuaeyu (and a handful of others on this board) enough for your work to find relevant and compelling articles and patent filings related to LQMT.
Thank you.
Congrats! I sold some AA this morning, with the intent to buy more LQMT. Got in at .20. That didn’t feel great when it hit .191, but wow! Look at it now! Today was a white knuckle ride!
Yes. I’m looking on Td Ameritrade if that helps. What’s up with that?
On their kickstarter page, it has a bullet point saying:
• We’ve licensed this patented alloy to use on the Habitat KNASA Chef Knife
Who are they licensing it from? Who is getting paid here?
Wishing you a speedy recovery Gorgol! As an avid LQMT board lurker, I appreciate your perspective and look forward to more of the same in the near future. Be well!
Wow, in my opinion, this is a very positive development! Thank you for posting!
I still feel positive about LQMT. Bought more today at .37.
Li has a history of under-promising and over-delivering. He wouldn't be here if the timing wasn't right. He showed up about a year ago, bought in, became CEO, adjusted personnel, cross licensed LQMT and Eontec products, built out a "phase one" manufacturing plant in the US, and now sits keenly poised as the Apple event approaches, with an open house at the new facility about a month away.
It almost feels like the beginning of a great film. The stage has been set, we are just waiting to hear... ACTION!
I predict a PR following the Apple event.
Of course, this is all my personal opinion. I am nobody who knows nothing. But I do consume almost all the information this board presents, plus a bit on the side. Mostly, I am just trying to read the tea leaves.
While I have your attention, I want to thank this board for such great and informative posts, day after day. You all rock!
And best of luck to all those affected by the hurricane. My mother owns a vacation home in Gulfport, outside of Tampa. She lives in Maine most the year, so minus possible property damage, she is safe. I sincerely wish you all the best. That is a very scary situation.
Thanks for the clarity Rige. That's a bummer for him. Self imposed, but a bummer none the less. Moving on is hard to do, I guess.
I just don't know what to make of Watts Watt. The majority of his posts are negative. From the perspective of a total outsider with very little knowledge of his history with LQMT (other than what I've "learned" here), he appears to be totally jaded. It appears he bought in too high, and has ridden it down to the single digit lows of last spring (I don't know this to be the case, just my guess). I feel bad for the guy, to a degree. But then he posts things like this. Positive, forward looking statements. If we were charting his comments like a stock, these would be spikes on an otherwise downward trend line. I wonder what it would take to reverse this trend? Will comments get more positive as the pps increases? One would assume so, but it doesn't appear to be the case yet.
This is a fantastic find! Thank you for sharing!
Well at least it's not fake news. Just old news.
Today we touched .31 per share, only 45 minutes after the open. At that same time, volume broke 1,000,000 shares traded. Today feels like it's setting up to be a big day. Just my opinion...
If we hit .084 cents today, I'm selling every share I own. I think you forgot a zero.
Do any other TD Ameritrade users, using the Iphone app, notice that the overview page of LQMT lists shares outstanding at 882.5K. Shouldn't that read 882.5M? Am I missing something here?
Thanks Ramp,
I totally agree with your assessment. I DRIP all divi's, and plan to hold for the long term, or at least until the narrative changes in a meaningful way. As an Apple user, it is easy to recognize the advantages of their ecosystem, and I just can't see the story changing anytime soon. Jobs is gone, and that won't ever change. But he left a legacy of products and a road map of the future that should serve Apple well for years to come.
All just my opinion of course. Good luck to longs, and happy holidays to all!
I ordered an Apple Watch 2 for my girlfriend today for Christmas. I ordered it on my computer at work. A text came to my phone with a link to add my purchase to my wallet app. I arrived at the Apple Store at the Maine Mall in Portland Maine at about 3:30 this afternoon. The Apple Store was full of people! I gave the greeter my name, and told him I was here to pick up an online purchase. Within two minutes a rep came to see me, he scanned the qr code from my wallet app, asked to see my id, and 5 minutes later the watch was in my hands. It was super busy, yet my experience was very quick and simply outstanding. I am a 35 year old shareholder of about 3 years. After this superb level of simplicity and customer service, I intend to hold this stock until I retire. I can't imagine a safer place to keep my money. Go Apple!
Yama you've got to be kidding me! My family owns a camp on Mousam Lake as well! We are up behind the fair grounds. Haha, what a small world. And yes, we are very fortunate to live in such a beautiful spot!
Hi Eagle,
Sadly no Tom here, my name is Ray. Funny, I too live in New England, Southern Maine to be more precise. Glad to hear my comments were well received. I expected more "unicorn" and "fanboy" comments, and I assumed I would be interrogated for saying misleading statements. But for the most part it seems like others have a similar thought process. And even on a wet and dreary November afternoon, we managed to close green. Things could always be better, but today just doesn't seem that bad.
All in my opinion of course
This is exactly what I've been thinking. I am definitely reading this situation between the lines, but it appears Lqmt management has assembled a very competent production arm that bridges the gap between China and the U.S. Could this be a strategic move by Apple when considering President elect Trumps desire to bring manufacturing back to the US?
I have grown a long position in both Lqmt and Apple over the past couple years. This was the second stock I ever bought, and I had very little investing experience at that time. But even then, I always thought of Lqmt as a long term hold. I have bought at considerably higher prices, and I've tried to catch the falling knife several times to average down. And even on the reddest days, as I watched the price fall to the lowest lows, I have never lost faith in the material.
And I just have a gut feeling that something fundamental has changed. At this price, with the amount of potential news swirling around about bmg advancements, about new patents, about Lugee Li buying into Lqmt, about Apple not extending their exclusivity contract, about the supposed "radically different" IPhone 8 (or whatever they end up calling it) coming in less than a year, wouldn't it make sense to scale production right now? So how do you do that? You bring in someone like Lugee Li. You bring a billionaire Chinese manufacturing expert stateside by letting him buy almost majority interest in the brand name he probably (my opinion) has always coveted most. In my opinion, this all points to Apple.
And by doing all this, all parties win. Apple gets an expert manufacturer with both American and Chinese ties. Lugee Li gets the brand name Liquidmetal along with the ability to potentially cross sell Eontec products in the US, and vice verse. Liquidmetal gets revenue, but perhaps even more importantly, it will legitimize Liquidmetal as a material brand that could quickly replace inferior materials in many applications.
One thing I have though about a lot is the recyclability of the Liquidmetal material. I understand there are several different alloy combinations, each potentially having a unique melting point. But generally speaking, could a Liquidmetal product be melted and re manufactured into something else relatively easily? If so, this fits in even better with Apples green initiatives.
Just to be clear, I am a long term shareholder of both Apple and LQMT. Everything I have written is my opinion, and in some cases total speculation on my part. I offer my point of view freely, so please take it at face value.
I just wanted to go on record as being very positive about Liquidmetal given the recent developments. I truly believe we are about to exit the midst and enter into a whole new world of production contracts and revenues.
I could not agree more! Very negative undertones. The part that got me most irritated was when they were visiting the Colorado hospital. They said there were 27 cases, in the first nine months of this year, of newborns testing positive for thc while in utero. They went on to say this was a 15% increase from last year. But they never mentioned how many babies were born in total during those nine months at the hospital, and they didn't compare that number to any "national average". Nor did they mention what the average number of thc births was over the past 5 years, or the past decade. Without a baseline, these statistics are irrelevant at best, misleading and propagandistic at worst.

Why iPhone 8 will be not explode and have longer batter life than iPhone 7 - Narada News
https://apple.news/Ax9FWbMhsPiK-cEejOmItQQ
Apple iPhone 8 would be the best ever back up device that got 18 Hrs on use on 3G. And this will be also giving same for 4G. Recent report have revealed how Apple is going for a complete design overhaul to renew buyer interests after the iPhone 7 fiasco. Some reports have suggested that Apple could be looking to replace the aluminum unibody. But here we have another news for you. The iPhone 8 could have Lithium Ceramic battery.
A Lithium-Ceramic battery as the entire casing system for a future iPhone would allow for a substantially larger battery more than compensating for the lowered efficiency. This manufacturing technique would be revolutionary and create a thinner and lighter iPhone.
The battery made of high powered lithium with advanced technology will give more support to the system and then the phone will be working for longer than ever.
The journey Apple has taken to adopt Zirconia Ceramic as the their fundamental design material translates like an epic movie plot.
Lithium-Ceramic batteries are so resilient they can be cut in half and still operate. They are also a magnitude more safe and recyclable. The safety issue is currently a wide concern when it was discovered the Samsung Galaxy Note7 suffered a ban on airlines and a Consumer Products Safety Commission recall because of a explosion and fire hazard. Lithium-Ceramic batteries would be some of the safest batteries in use.
The Case For (of) Zirconia
Zirconia ceramics [1] are structured in a martensite-type [2] transformation mechanism of stress induction. This provides the ability to absorb highest amounts of stress relative to other ceramic materials including:
Alumina
Aluminum Nitride
Boron Carbide
Boron Nitride
Cordierite
Graphite
Mullite
Sapphire
Silicon Carbide
Silicon Nitride
Steatite
Titanium Diboride
Tungsten Carbide
Zirconia ceramics exhibits the highest mechanical strength and toughness at room temperature. Zirconium ceramics have the highest fracture toughness of any advanced technical ceramic. Its toughness, mechanical properties and corrosion resistance make it ideal for high pressure applications.

Hey Jolly,
First time player, long time stock holder. Please put me down for .155
I have been thinking the exact same thing. On the surface everything lines up. But until we have hard evidence, it remains mere speculation. But I like your thinking! Long LQMT!
I just ordered one as well. I have no use for it, other than to support the company and the stock. I am interested to see the quality however.
I agree totally. All this news is extremely positive, but how does Liquidmetal (the company) actually make money? Announcements, partnerships, and new investments are great, but how does revenue find its way back to Liquidmetal?
I've been invested for several years and have been waiting for this news patiently. But I still don't understand how/where we generate revenue. Any insight is much appreciated!
Liquidmetal long and strong!
TD Ameritrade appears to be having issues displaying PHOT accurately too. Volumes do not move, then simply disappear for lengths of time. Very odd. I am long PHOT and don't see this as a buy or sell trigger. It is just very strange to me (a user that has never had such issues before).
