Terrific! I know for 2 stocks that I follow closely, INTC & AMD, the only places to gain and share useful information are SI and Motley Fool. Of the two, SI definitely has the edge in terms of the posters' technical expertise. I would like to see IH overtake them both in large cap techs!

I'm pretty sure StockHouse needs to grow and they probably need money too... if IH can make a deal with them and grab/exchange all StockHouse posts in realtime, then IH will have more content. The same method can be applied to other message board systems... Is there any method to "take Bobz down..."?

I have no doubt that SI will die. RB might have a bit of life left simply because of the amount of traffic they have. They will turn to a premium model eventually, but they have set such a horrible foundation of posters and TOS rules that they have no chance.

Just a matter of who can stay at the poker table the longest.

The Canadian stuff definitely strikes my fancy. Also Austrailian stocks. But I have to really have my foot in the US markets first. And in these market conditions, it takes time to gain ground.

Throw some of your strategies at me. Build it.

I think this is a major part of adding credibility to this site, above just being a "penny site"

And I am working behind the scenes to partner up with folks to bring "large cap traffic" to the site. You'd be surprised to know some of the names looking at the site.

I will say that it's hard to do so, even the stock specific thread on SI are kinda dead. I guess doing partnership with other financial websites are the key, just like WSJ with SI.

Hope that INSP will die and scrap SI. Or somehow RB will stop operating. Getting IH on "pesudo stock thread search" on all the software is another key... ie more partnerships. If IH can somehow merge with Stockhouse, the Canadian threads will become a big hit instantly... I can think of tons of stategical move, but I have no idea on the financial health of MarketFusion.

I follow large cap tech stocks. The threads for such stocks (look at AMD, Intel, most others) are dead. I would like to see more posts on these boards. I've mentioned this to Matt before.

I'm not prone to promote iHub on other sites (bad form to use their bandwidth to woo away customers). If you or anyone else have ideas on how to bring these threads alive, I'd like to hear them.

and generally does a good Job, but he has become too consumed by iHUB and now lacks the ability to step back and be detached and objective about it...

It's a common and natural mistake, that is difficult to rectify while he continues to be immersed in the Website...

He should try to find somebody - NOT you, please - to take over administrative duties for a few weeks, take a break for a week, or so and then come back and watch from the outside for a while...

He'll find that the "excesses", that bothered him are temporary and eventually cancel themselves out; that you can't please every poster; that the Threads are basically self- sutaining and the last thing they need is an Admin trying to play God...

He should also realize that the Moderators work for iHUB without pay and should be respected and encouraged at every opportunity...

The often read words to this effect: "if the Moderator doesn't do this or that, I'll drop him/her and find another one more suitable"... "I have worked too hard to let a pumping/bashing Moderator screw "my" Flagship Thread"... etc... SHOULD have NO place on this Website...

This Message Board is as good as its Moderators and Posters and when too many get pissed off and lose interest, then you know the rest...

You always seem to find something wrong: not enough deletions, too many deletions, unfair deletions, if a theme is restated - NOT pasted - it's Spam, etc... Is praising or criticizing the stock, Manipulations?... Of course not... Are organized complaints to iHUB Admin because the Moderator is trying to show to the Thread that there is something drastically wrong with the company Management, as a result of a new "eye opening" filing, Manipulation?... You Bet!...

On topic, relevant content is how I gauge the site. Not the noise level. So if that means 5 posts of information a day vs 200 posts of sheer garbage, than I would swing to the 5 posts a day. Most people don't have all day to sift through that much trash. Quality will always win over quantity. Why do you think RB is changing their business model?

As a result, I have closed down most of my Threads on iHUB and 90% of my posts are now posted on RB or SI....
