Well, that elephant in the room has always been the bugaboo about this whole affair. BUT, if STP believes they will come out ahead by negating these 5-block awards and setting up another bidding round, they will come to regret it, IMO. Firstly, Nigeria wouldn't stand for it. Secondly, litigation would have the JDZ tied up in legal processes for years and STP needs the oil income now. That country would be up in arms against the politicos who disrupted their march to riches - and STP probably would not come out on the winning end of a legal wrangle anyway. STP needs to quit listening to group(s) who do not have their best interests at heart. Thirdly, if the JDZ Treaty is dissolved, STP may NEVER realize oil production income. STP, if you're listening to me, you need to do whatever you can to move this process forward to a quick resolution. Quit being jealous of other's legitimate fortune in your JDZ, and get about making your own fortune - now.
