lots of charts and graphs but the guy doesn't boil it down to how much money PEIX is making right now and how much they might make in 2014. Doesn't consider the export market or the shortage of tanker cars. I don't think he can see the forest for the trees.

That article assumes knowledge on the part of the reader. Plus, it doesn't make clear what the status of changing the regs is.

IMO, that article serves so purpose whatsoever, other than to scare people out of ethanol stocks. JMO.

I think most people can pretty easily see through what the guy is saying. He's pointing out how in a "free market" these regulations don't make any sense.

Creating a logical argument for why government regulatory action doesn't make any sense is as easy as shooting fish in a barrel. The question is whether or not they'll change the regulations as a result. The author of the article addresses that to some extent by saying further changes may be challenged in court and does not, in my opinion, paint a compelling argument for any near term changes that would negatively effect biofuel prices.

PIEX is printing money right now. I bought more PEIX in the mid $15 range.

Micham: re PEIX, thanks for pointing out that article which I think explains the sudden weakness since yesterday afternoon. Yesterday morning PEIX hit a new high of $18.2, then back down to a low of $15.29 today, the second sizable pullback since the earnings !
