Good grief, looks like garbage followed by clay, then sand and finally topsoil to me.

"Good grief. They have this thing called liners in monofills (and landfills for that matter). The dirt goes ontop of the liners. The monofills are like a layered cake. The dirt is between two liners, not mixed in the plastic."
