An Apple ring instead of a watch is a novel idea. That is a case that LM could probably produce in the short term due to its size. But wouldn't it need to be fat to fit in a battery, sensors, vibration device, and bluetooth? I guess if it was "bling" some might wear it, but I am not sure I would want to wear it while running. I might tip over.
