It would have remained intact, what is found is that the rivets around the satcom are loosing there structural integrity causing the plane rip open like a tin a can it happened to a plane last year during take off and luckily they made it back to the ground. If this happened at 36,000 feet, you would not stand a chance the plane would turn into a collapsing inferno.
