Hi Flipper, are you sure that the DMC doesn't get to see "extra" data before the 2nd interim at 88? That makes no sense at all. The DMC are the ONLY one's to see the data as it comes in- and the SPONSOR won't have the option to ask for further data accumulation because they are supposed to be blind to the interim until revealed to the Sponsor and then to the public within the 3day SEC rule. The sponsor can continue a trial even after a recommended halt for futility AFTER the interim has been revealed and data unblinded by the DMC, but a continue which should have been the most likely scenario would mean that the sponsor remains blinded to the results as they should be. Also, data lock doesn't occur until the 110 events occur. Then the DMC probably don't take any further data from the continuing trial to make its determination. BTW it took several emails and phone calls to Les and Linda by me for them to publicly announce the 110 events that Larry Smith had alluded to a while back which I finally found in small print in a 10Q from 2yrs ago. Management does respond to contact by investors but they have yet to reveal how enrollment is going (not good).
