It should be on the receipt, as there has to be a sales tax. California BOE states that there must be a sales tax, unless it is coming from a healthcare facility. So it must be on the receipt, under CA regulations. This is my understanding of the law, per the CA Atty General and the BOE.

Uless the price includes the sales tax
