In any case, my personal opinion is that sec should stop all ability to short a stock. You either invest or buy a stock, or sell off what you have. Shorting imho is not investing but gambling and causes potential harm to viable companies. Systemic issue that needs fixing imo. They should create new rules and clean up the entire gambling den of a stock market.
