I know what you mean about patience. I bought the former Mesa at various prices and at some point took bought some of the shares during the runup on the cnbc mention by Chris Jarvis. I've averaged down quite a bit but it hasn't gone without due diligence or communication with management. I don't consider this a gamble at all. This has much better odds then Vegas. We know they have cash flow, we know they entered into a partnership with shifts responsibility over the LLC. The financial guys are a lot smarter, I think, do to having more exposure with companies and experience in the oil and gas industry. Bringing them in can increase the odds of success significantly. I don't think any insider is in this for a salary, this is do or die for Randy Griffin and Telefuncte original owners. They could be not just risking the millions they could make but the opportunity cost of what they gave up over the many years to get here.
Management's interests are aligned with ours. In the past you mentioned how shareholder activists buy stock. Let's use Warren Buffet for example. He has to have trust in management to invest in any company...that's a basic premise. It makes very good sense to me. I like smaller companies because I can communicate with management like an analyst would a large corporation and ask questions to help me make my buy/sell recommendation to myself. Also, management at smaller companies should want that communication if they want to grow so its most imperative.
I know you are a real die hard long. Nobody keeps buying amidst all the uncertainty like this. You have high hopes and secretly believe management should be able to extract some value...I am merely noting that your tone changes and not in line with your stock purchases. Which is fine, but it seems when things don't look good you come out in full force about how bad management is...like you want to shake the tree. I've got news for you, the tree has been shaken....very few apples left and I'm out there looking for any that have fallen so first come first serve.
Good luck.
