Because a mutual corporation relationship sounds a lot like a joint venture between 2 companies vs paying them for silk or buying the farms.

Like all such short quotes from statements or news reports, there are some things that are not clear or do not mean the same thing to all readers.

Below is my interpretation:

Corporation => Cooperation, a cooperative effort to bring good results for all parties.

The Group => KBLB.

"already had the new seedling source" => The MS worm, or more specifically MS worm eggs.
(The Vietnamese representative and reporter are talking about the entire sericulture industry as an agricultural endeavor, not just growing mulberry.)

"Lam Dong possesses suitable type of soil, climate and human resource for the mulberry development in scale as well as quality."
=> this again is referring to the entire sericulture industry, not just growing mulberry.

So what is being expressed here is a desire for KBLB to bring their new transgenic silkworm eggs to Vietnam so as to increase the profitability of the sericulture industry there, said profits to be shared between KBLB and the locals in a manner still to be worked out and signed but already discussed.

(BTW- From the perspective of the average Asian: - California, San Francisco, New York, Washington(DC), America, are all synonymous, and Kansas, Illinois, Ohio, etc. are non-existent.
Just like when some one in the US says "China" and could really mean Vietnam, Shanghai, Cambodia, Singapore, or Beijing, and has no idea of the existence of Shaanxi province or Mongolia.)
