Not really a concern (although it read like one! :-) ). More of a hope, that other long-term investors would buy and hold a good amount of the float. There is currently no buying pressure for this company's stock. Only recent selling pressure, the largest being those tens of millions of shares by (Clark??) and other longs. jmho

I know what float is.
But if there's say 550 million shares in the float, and long-term investors decided to now by up 100 million of those, not only would the s/p move up but it (I believe) would likely stay up, imho, until they sold, hopefully a long time out in the future, or until the s/p would rise high enough. Partly because, only 450 million of the 550 million shares in the float is available (until those investors sold their 100 million shares).

Long-term investors holding stock (having bought it from the float) for long periods of time, is better than traders and market makers buying it up, who will not hold out for a much higher share price but rather sell quickly to make a few dollars.
And at that point, while they're holding and continue to hold, daily buying by other small-time but long investors would cause the s/p to rise even higher, because a less amount of shares is willing to be let go for sale.
