The puts and calls change with the underlying stock price. They aren't "signaling" something significant, if that's what your post means. The options prices are coincidental with the stock price, they are not predictive.

The people buying and selling the options have no knowledge of the trial data. The options prices are totally irrelevant.

Nothing has changed with the fundamentals. That doesn't stop the stock price from fluctuating. One investment insight that I try to keep in mind is something I read once, "whatever it is you use to value a stock, 'it' doesn't change as much as the stock price."

Whether the stock is 4.80 or 8.40 while we await the data, it's not going to affect what the data is. It's just side betting, like a football game. I'm sure prior to the Super Bowl kickoff, there were a lot of side bets "shorting" Seattle. Evidently the players didn't realize how important that was supposed to be.
